…find a boy and call him down…
Ozzrick clucked his tongue—quite a mindset for handing out instruction, for such an otherwise unassuming little man. He found himself smiling, waiting just a moment longer to keep an eye on the progression of stubborn persistence up the steps until he was satisfied Tacrith would not likely be taking any surprise falls. At least the harbor was still.
“Bravhan…” he said, naming his crewmate who had just finished with the second crate. “Down the dock there is a boy who was hired by this doctor to cart for him, please direct him here…” If there was any irony in finding Tacrith’s instruction in the realm of bossy and not his own, it was lost on him. He turned his attention back to the doctor. “So, you being my only expert on Yael and the populous and having specifically advised me against the sort of behavior that lead to our first meeting…what forms of entertainment would you recommend to a tourist around here? Or do your people do anything but glow and…stare suspiciously at redheads.”

While reaching the deck was met with faint relief, Tac knew he would not feel better until he was off of this thing. The constant movement underfoot.. how did they get used to it? With one hand out for support against the cabin wall, he found himself involuntarily letting out a snort of amusement. “I would say that staring suspiciously at you non-glowing redheads about covers the general activities of those around here,” he mused, gesturing toward the public onlookers. “Considering that I am not a tourist myself, I would not know what to suggest. I believe you would find my preferred pastimes.. what is the word.. dull.”
Making his way to the railing, he looked at the dock with longing. “I suppose most would recommend shopping the local venues. I believe there are performers who entertain with regularity in the streets. So long as you do not hamper your ability to make morally appropriate decisions, it should be easy for you to find something to catch your interest.”

Ozzrick grunted. Walking a step behind allowed for a stray glance that turned into just a moment longer-than-appropriate perhaps inspection of the rear side of the doctor’s trousers. Were these a new set? They looked to fit better than he’d seen last, or perhaps he simply hadn’t noticed.
Morally appropriate decisions, indeed.
He rolled his gaze skyward with a shrug. “Sometimes life is more interesting after a few questionable decisions…doesn’t sound like you get out much at all. Unfortunately having been a…” ‘Dancer’ was not the right word, surely. He squinted on the thought. “Performer and land traveler myself before finding my way to sea, other performances are…more call backs to home than entertainment for me, I would suspect.”
Not that that would necessarily be a bad thing. It might be interesting to see what the Yaelian flavor of dancing looked like.

“Get out much? I would say not,” he murmured, content enough with the knowledge. “There is enough excitement at the clinic for me.” Tac looked over his shoulder, giving Oz a brief onceover. “From a performer to a ship captain, eh? That seems like a rather large change.”
Hopping onto the dock, he stood still for a moment to savor having something solid under his feet again. That was better... “Perhaps just enjoy the food then,” he offered. “Or, for a change of pace, go try a ‘dull’ activity like the library. I am certain that you would be able to find at least one book that contains something of interest to you.”

“It was,” Oz admitted, “but not an unexpected one, really…I was born in a traveling gypsy troupe and grew up there, with performers of all sorts, so of course I had the chance to learn and partake, but…I knew for a while that it wasn’t what I wanted to do all my life. When our troupe made it to Oba and I saw the seas beyond, combined with the talk of this island…I knew that was where I wanted to take myself next.”
‘The library.’ He snorted with amusement.
“While I can read,” he said, “I admit I don’t subject myself to it for pleasure. But I am always interested in the adventure of new cuisine. I suppose, if you don’t have any recommendations, I’ll have to try a number of things myself and perhaps if we cross paths again, I can give you touristing advice.”
