Luckily the trees were still thick with leaves, even if they had started turning. It meant that people would be less likely to see the bright green of Nix's uniform. Although he was doing it for the first time, and got slightly stuck, Nix had done the jump well enough.

Bernard waddled over to him. "Not bad for a first time, but that's the type of power you get while... powered up." He would really have to work on that. "Unfortunately though, I can't really help you with any training concerning how to improve your jumps and such." He figured it would be obvious with the size of his girth. "So it would be best for you to train under a more experienced senshi for a bit."

Bernard had done his job, and now the hunger was really starting to gnaw at him. "If you have any other questions please ask, though if you don't right now, I would be happy to answer them later. But..." He looked at Nix's boots. "I'm getting hungry, how about you?"

"Well, uh," Nix said, scratching the side of his head and looking up. "I'd kinda aimed for that other tree there," he pointed toward a tree near the one he'd dropped out of. "I think I could do it with a couple more tries, though."

He sat on the ground by the cat. "You chased me really far, didn't you?" he asked, only briefly checking that he wasn't sitting in something that might snag his new tights...then realized that was silly. "I was only, uh, half way through what I was gonna do today, but, yeah, I could definitely use some food!" Nix smirked and suggested lightly, "I could pick you up and go for an extra fast run to someplace good to eat! Bet I could run better with this, uh, senshi stuff, too."

Bernard was pleased with Nix's answer. Or at least at his offer to pick Bernard up. Bernard wondered for a moment whether Nix could do it while powered down, he seemed kind of skinny after all.

He waved a paw at the other. "You'll get it in time I'm sure. One doesn't just become an expert at super jumps as soon as they've been awakened!" He was trying to be encouraging, though he didn't want to make Nix think that the senshi could do anything at this point.

"Well, if you are willing, you can run us somewhere, but you have to make sure we aren't seen, and when you're powered down aren't seen. But... I know of a good cafe and a few buffets around here if you're willing?" Though he felt bad about not being able to pay. That was one disadvantage mauvians had here, not being able to pay for things and having to rely on others. "Since you'll have to pay for it, I'll make it up to you at some point. So, if you're ready," Bernard said, walking towards Nix, "I would very much appreciate the lift."
