Was that too much? Was that friend-level hugging, still, if he went to her hips? Or was that part of the no-fly zone and he should return the shoulder hug??
It didn't matter - it was hugged and done before he could make a commitment either way, so he resorted to continuing a simple smile, up until she suggested heading over to his place for the movie-birthday-athon.
A Movie-Birthday-athon would be great at his place.
If he had one.
"Nah, let's do it at yours, my sister probably wouldn't care for us becoming a couple of couch spuds in her apartment." Because he totally wasn't going to bring a girl around to his parents' house - too many questions, too many nosy Mom comments to filter through. "Do I need to grab any of the movies or are we gonna risk it and go with whatever Netflix and Hulu have to offer?"
