Her eyes narrowed a little at his words, and she swung again, but she was off balance, from his hit, being a little too close for a good return swing, and also her concern. She hit, as she spoke, but not very hard. "I didn't hurt you, did I, babe?" She said, concerned. It was clear she WAS trying with that hit, it just wasn't very successful. He could sense that she was trying, but was grateful that she mostly grazed Zephira with that last hit so he could save up what little was left of his energy to put into his next strike. "No more than anyone else does during a spar," he managed to say after doing his best to get another hit in. He was tired though, and most definitely feeling it.
"I'll be fine. Wards up, remember?"

"All right, babe... I just wanted to make sure." She said, wincing some at the hit he got in. She broke free, and darted back, eyeing him for a long moment as she decided how best to get her next attack in, bouncing on the balls of her feet. "Right, the wards..." She half mumbled as she made another charge in, swinging Diwata at his other side, eyes focused on him as she connected. Quote: HP: 18/50 Dmg: 7 Charge: 3/3

Her last hit felt almost just as heavy as the first so he went skidding off much like that first time. The only difference was that his shield was completely gone now, and as he fell with a thud Zephira reverted back to her totem form, suddenly going quiet in his head out of complete frustration with his loss against Seren. He didn't care so much, but he ached a little too much at the moment to stand up.
He lifted his arm though, to let her know that he was fine but just not ready to get up yet. Or to talk yet, moving just about any muscle still had him groaning quietly to himself. The trainee was happy to lay there for a little while, and he hoped Seren would be okay with keeping him company like that, too, because he wasn't going anywhere for at least five minutes.
