"Huh. I don't know! Let's try."



"Hahaha! Your soul is mine! Foolish human. Haaaaaahahahah! ...Actually, I don't particularly need human souls. Plus, your life is kind of...not infinite. Mine's better. Here, you can have it back." She passes the polaroid over.

Seren took the photo Toki showed her, and looked at it. "It looks to me like your camera filter made you into a human in this photo, Toki... Maybe it turns people into what they are not? Citizens of Halloween look like humans in the photo, and humans look like citizens of Halloween?"

She handed Toki her photo back, and peered over her shoulder at the next two photos as they came out. "Oooo these are neat... And October as a Vampire is an interesting look." She gave October an amused look, noted how he was wearing the sweater, and decided to give it up as a lost sweater. She wondered if it would even fit him, should he try to wear it as a normal sweater, but did not mind. She could get a replacement easily enough.

She moved away, and leaned against a tree, to keep an eye on the proceedings, just in case someone came who she needed to deal with. She was prepared to coax any Halloween students she saw to stick together, as long as they did not attack her. If they attacked anyone, though... she really hoped they wouldn't. She did not want to have to do that around Toki.

Very occasionally Peyton found herself on what she considered a fairly average patrol, and for the most part, she didn't seem to mind it. They were quiet occasions, for the most part. A chance to breath and relax, while still contributing. It was nice.

She was walking slowly through the woods that surrounded the camp, hands in the pockets of a hoody, when she heard the unmistakable murmur of voices nearby. Curious, she took herself off the path she'd been following to head in this new direction instead.

What she found was enough to have her staring in open curiosity as she stopped between a pair of trees close to the group. Students, and humans, all apparently getting along just fine. "Huh..." Strange.

Back at Camp Lucy.

Rhys squinted at the empty and still creepy campgrounds, sighing as he ran a hand through his hair. He didn't exactly sign up for this assignment or anything, he was actually headed somewhere else but somehow here he was. Again. So he started patrolling, since it was all he figured he had to do here--someone really had to explain to him the details of coming to this place--wondering what in the hell happened that he showed up here in the first place.

"Crazy island voodoo FEAR magic s**t..." he muttered under his breath as he walked along, eyes darting from one sound to the next.

Her expression seemed to sink further into confusion as the girl with the horns and the camera started questioning her and offering to take her picture. "Human...sanctuary...?" The camp? "I don't think so, it's just a camp." She could have elaborated, but this was clearly a Halloween creature, and though she didn't appear to be hostile, Peyton didn't know her motives. Vague was probably better.

She glanced behind her as another hunter wandered over. Rhys, she was pretty sure she'd heard him called, but she'd never met him personally before. Apparently he knew this monster girl though, as did his girlfriend, and that seemed a little alarming.

Or maybe comforting?

It did prove that she seemed entirely non-hostile. Glancing back at the monster, then pursed her lips. "Photo?"

A young Lex, bored out of his mind, had decided to follow Rhys and Seren when he saw them. They ended up at...camp? There was a camp? Holy s**t, Lex thought. This was incredible! The teen had been missing camping with his friends...maybe he could arrange some sort of monthly camping trip? That would be incredibly fun.

Lex was so lost in thought, he didn't even realize there were other people, and monsters, around.

Seren smiled and said "Well it looks like your filters do species change on the photos, I guess! And um. Well I guess it's his now. That's ok, though. October is a nice guy." And she did not want him to freeze, to be honest. Nash would probably be annoyed if his brother froze, or something. She glanced at October and whispered "I think your soul is in the photo she gave you, if it's not in you." to him.

Toki's question made her blush a little, and smile. "I got a promotion! My coat has changed to mark that, you see." She tucked her hair back, looking very happy at the words.

She looked up, watching the Skeleton, and then saw a blond woman she did not recognize. She waved, and said "Hey. I'm Sere, don't think we've met." Then she saw Rhys emerge, and her eyes widened, a smile on her face. She laughed at Toki's question, shaking her head in amusement, and waved at Rhys. "Hey, babe. What are you doing here?"

And then she spotted Lex, and her brows rose HIGH, and she looked concerned. "Lex! What brings you here?" She straightened up, and moved to snag her boyfriend's hand, before moving towards Lex, concerned that the young man was here.

"Yes! Indeed. You, as well. Mazel tov. It is good to see that you are still very human. As humans are."

Hopefully that was an appropriate greeting. She has doubts about that "Basic Human Information" pamphlet at school.

"Oooh, human jewelry! How interesting. I have not seen this linked accessory before. Many thanks! Also, smile!"



"By the way, is it just me or did you change your hair color and your clothes? Can humans do that? Did you evolve? How nice. Congratulations on evolving! Wait, is that a human child?"



"It is! Haha! A human child. Hello, human child. I did not expect to see a human child here. You look like a smaller sized regular human! ...Do human children wander into the woods very often? I have read human tales about this. Usually it ends in being eaten by big bad wolves. Or gingerbread witches. Basically, death. But no matter! Hello, hello! Would you like a photo?"

She waves in what she hopes looks like a friendly and non-child-predatory kind of way.
