"Those poor gerbils," Etsali lamented, peering down at the map but not really seeming to comprehend it for the moment. She stayed by Ephias as she pointed out what looked like the right path. Gerbils had been their connection back in the day after all, they ought to mourn the poor lost souls.

He reached for the map to indicate. “See, if you look at the notes here it's...” Trailing off, he paused to squint at the handwriting. Then he covered his face with his hand with an audible clap. “It's upside down.”As he slid his fingers down his face, he saw movement from further down the corridor in the darkness. Ephias stared at them a moment, trying to discern their shape from the shadows. “Over there. It's—”[ Ephias finds a group of daywalkers. ]

"Check it out guys," Cerpin ran ahead of the group and turned to face them with the zombies behind him. He put his hands in the air and began to do a popular dance with them shuffling behind as his back up dancers. He sang some of the song, grinning at the stunned face of Tevini. He loved making her at a loss for words.
"Because it's thrillllllller! Thriller Night!" The zombies crept closer, drawn towards the sound.

For a moment, he could only watch in disbelief as Cerpin began to dance among the daywalkers. He rubbed at his eyes. He must have been having some kind of sleep-deprived delusion. It was still there. Then Etsali began to tip. Ephias dropped his shears to catch her, but as she fell into him they both tumbled to the floor. “Are you crazy?!”[ Ephias does 3 damage. 3 zombies remain. ]

Etsali scouts again! Will she find anything this time? Will everyone just follow her anyway? Yeah, she was pretty sure she could already hear their footsteps coming up behind her. They didn't really get this whole scouting thing, did they? She'd just keep going until they realized what they were doing anyway.

"Hey, wait up!" Cerpin ran after Etsali, totally not understanding what she was trying to do. She was so fast it was hard to keep up. He wasn't sure where this corridor was going to lead them but they had to keep trying. The Phoenix Initiative was counting on them and he didn't want to let Byakko down. After all, the future of the rebel space program was depending on this mission going well. He vaguely wondered how Stryke was doing.

So far everything looked the same. “Is it just me, or... does it feel we've been here before?” He glanced over at Tevini for confirmation. She seemed to have taken over map responsibilities. Etsali rolls around the room looking for shinies, but only finds a super moldy piece of protective gear. She stared at it for a long time, unsure what she was supposed to do with it. It wasn't shiny. She glanced at the others, holding it up as if to say 'you want this or...?'

"Hey, it don't open." Cerpin tried the door and frowned as it remained stubbornly in place. He didn't like locks, he was never on the right side of them. He kicked at the door in a huff and looked back at the other with a slight pout. Fine, it was time for the nerds to have their go at it. All he'd be able to do would be bodyslam the s**t out of it if left up to him. He stepped back and stood with Etsali, keeping a little distance away from that moldy crap she was carrying.

The wires were further back than before and in the darkness it was difficult to see the colours. Unstrapping his flashlight from his belt, Ephias clicked it on and stuck it in his mouth, as he examined the wires. He was having a hard time telling which one went where... A minute had passed and Ephias leaned closer and closer towards the panel. At last his face leaned against the wall and he let out a gentle snore. The redblood slid down to the floor, flashlight still in his mouth. [ Ephias tries to unlock the door. ]
