With Flydra backing her up, the zombies never stood a chance. One final sweep of her partisan felled the last one and she took the moment to flash a bright, approving smile at the tealblood. The yellowbloods on the other hand...Scorpa could handle herself but she was seriously unimpressed with Buffel now.

"Whoa! Well how bout this?!" Scorpa looked shocked for a moment at Buffel ripping his ******** finger off but wasn't about to be outdone! She raised her middle finger in return with a laugh, posing beside her girls. They'd finished the battle off nice and neatly for her. She felt bad that she hadn't been particularly useful but she'd just kick some butt next time! So she'd better start the group moving again!
The yellowblood began to lead the rest into the next corridor, eagerly on the lookout for another fight!

"Scorpa, wait for me-" The yellowblood set off down the hallway again and Flydra reached to grab hold of the girl's arm. She didn't like it when the sirens got too far apart, especially her moirail. Lorata had the sense to stick close and the tealblood quietly grabbed hold of her hand as well. Wait, no, that was a door knob. It opened into a room free from daywalkers with some supplies to inspect.
"Buffel, carry anything Lorata thinks looks important." She commanded, looking through some of the cupboards as well. Flydra didn't find much of anything useful or interesting.

Buffel searched the room as best he could. As was becoming the norm, everything was covered in dust. In the corner behind a console was a corpse, surprisingly not moving. In it's hands was a large rifle, which upon inspection seemed to have one charge left in it. Rising from behind the console, he held up the dusted rifle for Lorata to inspect.
”Excuse me, Ms. Gorgos, but would this constitute as important in yer eye? Seems to have only a charge left, but that's one more shot than we'd have already, we can just toss the sucker afterwards.”
"Hm? What did you find?" Lorata prepared herself to be disappointed in Buffel again, but what he held up actually looked like it might be useful. Assuming it still worked, of course. Well, there was one way to test that. "Ah yes, you should hang on to that. It can be your backup weapon for the next time you fail." Smiling, she moved on.

"This room seems to be empty too. We'll take a short break." Flydra took this chance to forcefully grab Buffel's mechanical wrist and start unscrewing part of the hand without his consent. The constant jamming of the mechanisms was starting to be an obvious problem and she inspected the parts for breakage or malfunction. She knew Lorata and Scorpa would be capable of finding all sorts of useful things in the room.
A few loose screws later, the tealblood smiled. Aha, there was the problem. She unclogged the barrel with some force before piecing the poor boy back together.
"That should do it. Please be careful not to jam it again. I can do a more thorough examination back at the tower." Although she could help inspect it again, the amount of zombies on this ship was starting to hit a problematic number and they ought to get through the rest of this quickly.

"That looks like it'll actually work!" Scorpa teased as Buffel revealed a gun he'd found. She wasn't sure what was going on with his robo hand but it was definitely busted. The yellowblood was more than happy to protect him in order to look like a hero to Lorata but they were going to need him to fix it soon. This ship was bound to have more dangers lurking on it! Entering the next room, she discovered the next one pretty immediately in the form of a hideous vest.
"Gross! Flydra I found some fungus for you!" The scientist would be over the moon to study some space bacteria wouldn't she?

Buffel sat patiently on the edge of a desk as Flydra worked on his hand, peering into the inner workings of his cybernetic digits and taking careful note of parts he recognized within. He much preferred her experimentation when he couldn't feel it, and watching her methodically tinker with the mechanisms was almost calming. After she was done he stood up, chuckling at Scorpa's joke.
”Well i'll hold onto it just in case you get swarmed stickin' yer tongue out at me, wouldn't want yer last words t' be a bad impression o' me now, would ya?”
He stuck his tongue out at the end of his sentence to emphasize his point, happy to trade barbs with her.
Lorata watched the way Scorpa and Flydra interacted with Buffel curiously, following along as they set off down the next corridor. With a little hum, she opened her mouth to throw something into the conversation and then paused as another sound caught her attention instead. "Shhh! There's something up ahead."

"Looks like six this time!" Scorpa squinted, counting the oncoming zombies.
"Flydra, I think Buffel needs a refresher on how to fire, if you could!" The yellowblood snickered while gesturing with a flourish as she moved out of the way. The tealblood's prosthetic was a powerful custom made one by Flydra herself! Scorpa wanted to let her show it off a little so Buffel could witness her greatness. Plus maybe he was doing something wrong and watching someone do it right would help remind him of whatever steps he needed to take.

"Yes, it's pretty simple, Buffel." Flydra raised her prosthetic and pointed it at the wall of zombies approaching the group. She glanced at Buffel to make sure he was paying close attention to her lesson. "You aim and then-" She fired off several rounds of darts to pierce through and tear the horde to shreds. She then pointed her arm, specifically her finger, accusingly at the yellowblooded boy.
"Get your prosthetic from an actually competent engineer!" The tealblood huffed, her eyes showing some of the frustration that he'd been outfitted by some Leeroi person, whoever the hell that was, instead of his medical practitioner! Ugh, she was so mad about it. Stupid Buffel, stupid Leeroi.
The tealblood mowed down those shamblers like it was nothin'! It was safe to say the gunslinger was impressed. He'd done his level best to keep from snickering at Flydra's pouting over his arm.
”I didn't have much a choice in the matter, I was unconscious at the time if ya recall me tellin' ya!”
Still, watchning how smooth and easy her movements were made him think that perhaps getting a surgery upgrade from the good(?) doctor might not be the worst idea in (or out of) the world.
"Well done, Flydra!" Lorata cheered, clapping delightedly. "That was perfect!" She gave the tealblood a quick half hug as she passed, stepping neatly over the bodies and moving along the corridor with a quiet click of heels. And there it was. The seadweller came to a stop, staring at the closed door ahead of her. Her eyes narrowed. She could already see the lock, the mechanisms of a trap.
She hated it.

Flydra is messing with the door lock 6/16 advances 0/3 minibosses defeated
Flydra beamed at the praise from Lorata. The rankings they had in the military were merely a set of titles that would change over time. She would honestly always prioritize what the seadweller thought of her and ordered her to do despite any authority Flydra herself might have.
"Excellent find, Lorata." She remarked once they found a door. It was a heavily outfitted door with a lock and she leaned down to get a closer look at it. Once upon a time, it would have been easy to undo this but it was too old and broken for Flydra to be able to mess with. They'd have to go about it the old fashioned way.
She stepped aside and nodded to Scorpa. Her darling moirail always came through for them.

"Comin' through!" Scorpa shouted, backing up and then racing forward to ram into the door! An audible clang was heard as the lock broke off the door and the yellowblood grinned at her handiwork. Another door conquered! Another ship on it's way. Stretching her arms afterward, the girl wondered what they'd find inside! Hopefully not another gross vest thing!
