Ugh, how long was it going to take them to find a stupid off switch for this alarm? Frossa's head was beginning to buzz with the promise of a headache if they didn't get to it soon. Gross monsters she could deal with, this constant shrill ringing... not so much.
As the group turned a corner, they were faced with yet another small hoarde of zombies. Frossa groaned and rolled her head in exasperation. More?
In all honesty, the FLARP projections she was used to were much more terrifying, and made for way more challenging opponents.

"There's one two three four five SIX of them OH MY GOG!" Amonee stammered as they encountered even more daywalkers. This was starting to get out of hand. He whimpered and hid behind Nucleo, holding onto the other greenblood's shoulders. The barista was stronger than he was and somehow he felt safer looking at his broad back.
Even if it was, y'know, Frossa doing all the asskicking. Man, she was good.
At least there weren't as many this time, Frossa told herself, as she darted towards the daywalkers without hesitation. There was no need for elaborate tactics here; they were slow, she was quick. They had short range, her flail had a variety of reach.
Blood sprayed against the hallway walls.
She made quick work of the last daywalker, curls bouncing just so as she settled down into a resting position. Frossa nudged one of the corpses with her toe, ensuring it was indeed dead.

At this point, Mahmud was trying his hardest to ignore the literal bloodbath splattering around him. Instead, he tried to search around the area for a switch, something, anything. There was a splatter of something against him while he was shuffling around stuff and things to find the switch, and he silently prayed that it would not stain... or that he'd get billed for the cleaning... oh gog was it blood? Guts? What was it oh... oh!
"Aha!" All dramatic-like, Mahmud slapped the alarm button to shut it down, as if this were some sort of movie. Given the gorefest going on in there, he was starting to wonder if this was real life.
This is a mini-boss battle, the full rules and mechanics of which can be reviewed here. Suddenly, the wall to your right explodes into splinters of metal and fiberglass. The looming figure of a drink dispenser droid bursts through, mechanical arms raised.

What on Alternia was this?! Okay he supposed they were no longer on Alternia but- WHAT?! In a way he supposed, there was beauty in the creature. Seeing the inside through the external casing, it was almost poetic. He sort of wanted to paint-
IT WAS SHOOTING BULLETS NOW.
"Run for cover!" Amonee yelled, abandoning the idea of befriending the strange droid. He scrambled to look for another door but there wasn't anything in sight. The jadeblood yelped as a bullet shot him in the asscheek and a few more got his leg. This was awful! It hurt and was so embarrassing in front of the others!
"Nucleoooo!" He whined helplessly, tears brimming in his distressed damsel eyes.
What... what was that thing? Now this looked like something closer to a boss fight you'd find in a FLARP campaign. Frossa bounded closer to the droid, bouncing on her toes as she swung her weapon around menacingly.
Wait-- that wasn't blood. Was that...?- Her eyes widened.
Her train of thought was cut short when the droid beeped another command and shot a stream of cruel-aid straight into her face.
Why yes, it was.
Frossa let out a shocked screech, wiping furiously at her eyes. When she looked back up, Amonee was screaming and retreating- "A-Amonee! Are you injured?" Frossa called over, ducking around the droid's line of fire. She lashed her flail out for an attack- the spiked ball bounced off the droid's shell with seemingly little effect.
"C'mon, look alive everyone! Madmud, take the left flank. Nucleo- do something."

"What the-" Nucleo's eyes widened at the sudden intruder. Startled by the bizarre creature he began to step backwards while gathering his bearings. At the droid began firing and spraying the area, he knew he had to figure out a plan quick. But just how did one take down a giant drink dispenser droid? His time with the Lightseekers had instilled in him a want to try and find safe or peaceful ways to quell fights. This obviously wasn't the best time to experiment but at the same time... he was worried about breaking the thing and shattering glass all over his friends.
"Amonee!" Nucleo gasped as the jadeblood cried for him. His chest ached and he darted towards the fiend at Frossa's orders. She had proven incredibly skilled at taking down zombies, ridiculously so. It was clear now that she wasn't as capable against this creature. But that was okay, he'd realized something.
Drinks were his specialty.
And so with a mighty gulp, he grabbed hold of the droid and yanked hard to start tipping it. It was sure to power down once it ran outta juice!
It was a job more than one troll could handle. Good thing there were more of him. As the mightly drink dispensing droid attempted to knock him away, red liquid sprayed everywhere. In the mist (and midst) of it, one became many. The clones appeared and gave Nucleo a quizzical look, what had they been summoned for this time?
"Drink!" He barked. With another tug, the droid lurched backwards. The life force was quickly sucked out of it and soon all that remained was an empty shell. A glass husk of a terror. Nucleo looked to his fellow clones and nodded, the deed done. They reached out and touched, absorbing back into him, leaving his body with way more sugar than any troll should ingest at that speed. Wincing, he tried not to throw up and stepped out and around from the droid back into sight of the others.
"Don't ask." He said, wiping his mouth.

The battle had shaken Amonee's nerves but it was over very quickly. It was always incredible to see Nucleo's clones in action at the coffee shop, even more amazing in combat. To be able to coordinate attacks with other trolls was a difficult feat. It probably helped a lot to be able to do it with 'yourself'. He clapped excitedly as Frossa and Nucleo lowered their weapons.
"Wow, good work everyone! You're so strong!" He couldn't help but cheer on the rest of his squad. They were so talented! He wanted to check on their injuries but honestly, Amonee knew next to nothing about first aid. He could wrap a toga but not a bandage.
"I was a little nervous coming on these missions but... you guys have made me feel really safe. I feel like we can take on anything together!"

This was miserable. She was absolutely drenched in sticky red juice. Zombies she could handle, space missions? Sure! But being drenched in cruel-aid? No thank you. Frossa's usually magnificent curls laid limp and wet. Her cheerful expression had all but completely melted away.
Frossa had turned away from the droid for only a moment- to assure that Amonee wasn't critically wounded- but when she looked back, the droid was downed. Nucleo stood, triumphant, wiping his mouth.
"I... what?" She stood there, a little dizzied, a little dumb founded, before shaking herself back into action.
"Good job, team!" Frossa chirped a compliment, but much of her vigor had been lost. Her eyes lingered on Nucleo as if she wanted to say something more, but instead she simply brushed off her hands and placed them on her hips. "Now that that's dealt with, let's hurry up and finish scouting this ship." She needed a shower. Bad.

"Who... the ********... ARE you guys?" Mahmud's expression went past stunned; it shot straight to flabbergasted. After just... did... clones? Were they clones? There were suddenly more of him, and then Frossa slaughtered like usual and just... woah. A lot of stuff just happened, and he was trying to process, and freaking Amonee was there talking like he observed them bake a particularly impressive cake as opposed to decimate a rogue machine.
And it was this realization, the one where it occurred to Mahmud that he himself was the abnormal one in this whole situation, that made him laugh. Not a small laugh, a deep laugh that came from the belly, as he touched a hand to his face. "Y-yeah... Yeah you guys are freaking stunning..." Once he got over his laughter, he gave a big grin to Amonee. "Like no seriously, I've been doing jack up to now compared to you guys... gotta get with the program." Still grinning, Mahmud awkwardly held a hand up for a fist bump to the others before quickly pulling away and tucking his hand back in his pocket.
"So uh... we should probably keep going soon, right?"
"Ngh." Nucleo was starting to feel the repercussions of his actions now. His stomach ached and he felt a bit flushed from the over indulgence. Amonee's voice was soothing at least and he felt better about it with the jadeblood's gratitude. All Nucleo wanted was to keep people safe and so to hear someone acknowledge his efforts and appreciate it made everything worth it. Taking some deep breaths he grounded himself once more for the journey ahead.

"Oh my goodness, no, sweetie, you're doing just fine!" Amonee teared up at Mahmud's shaky self doubt. He reached to pull the poor brownblood into an affectionate embrace. He understood how scary it was to feel useless! After all the stuff Austri had said to him, it was easy to forget that you had your own strengths. He patted the other boy's back before letting go.
"You've been incredibly helpful exploring with us. And that's what we're really here for, you know?" Amonee flashed Mahmud a smile, hoping the guy would be okay.

Frossa let out a giggle, attempting to flip one of her soggy drills. It slapped back onto her shoulder pathetically.
"Well, I know you know who Frossā is~" she said with a pointed wink at Mahmud. "Don't say that about yourself! I know you can shine too!" Taking the boy's hands into her own sticky ones, she nodded sagely. "I promise I won't steer you wrong; follow my lead and we'll complete the missives just fine! Just keep that smile on your face!" Frossa booped Madmud's nose.
She let out another over the top giggle, drawing back. Letting Nucleo know how bothered she was by her current soaked state was not an option.
"See- look! Progess." They neared a gaping door. It was ominous- but a new route.
