9 Zombies appear!
Chiara saw the grimy hand. It was interesting, or well, something. The zombies didnt have space suits on! It occurred to her that these ships might, at one point, have been functional, with air in them and stuff. They had been all sealed and ready to go into space at one point, which had to mean that live trolls had been in there, and thus, now zombies.

6 - You come across some shuffling bodies...!
Using Adept Attack A (+1 to atack, auto hit) = 7 zombies dead
Zombies zombies, hell its like a lawn piece... No, that one was no good. A zombie, and undead, either way take off its head. Ooh that was a good one! She was gonna have to keep that one around. She went to slash one of the undead things, grinning at the poor, hopeless thing. "A Zombie, an undead..." Chiara sang, swinging her weapon forward. "Either way, take off its head!"
Keionx easily dispatched the remaining daywalkers, using her shield to shove the dismembered and degraded corpses to the side so that they wouldn't have to wade through body parts.
"It's safe now." she said curtly, her way of keeping her accent out of her voice - it was very important to not allow Chiara to recognize her at all.

Advancing through Ship!
The tentative calm Nictor had reigned himself into wavered and broke when they came a cross bodies. Shambling shuffling terrifying troll bodies and, and, and the others tore them up. No problem. Diced them up and scattered them over the hall. Nictor tried not the think about the colors splashed on the walls as they moved forward, him somehow getting shunted to the front of the group to pick a direction, his skin prickling at having these three behind him.

Nictor moved forward cautiously, trying to keep his wits about him, trying to keep his thoughts in line. Now was the actual worst time to be spacing out, thought it would be fitting given his location in space currently. Still, prefer to be uncomfortably aware of his current situation than snuck up on by more of those monster trolls. More nightmares.
He heaved a shaky sigh at the thought.
Then paused.
“W-wait, I-I-I s---e s-somet-thi---ng,” Nictor stuttered through the headset, freezing when he saw the shadows shifting up ahead around a hallway corner.

Encounter 6 zombies!
Those moving shadows were definitely something, oh man they were something. The small group of monsters moved out of the darkness and somehow this was no less horrifying than the first time. The tender skin, scraped through his suit around his arm guards, ached, reminding him. Flashing teeth and eyes, the price of space it seems.
“T-th---ere’s m-m-more of t-them!” Nictor managed, voice cracking a bit as he backpedaled to a slightly more open part of the corridor, stumbling slightly as he went. His eyes flashed down to see what he’d tripped on but tore them away and restuck them right back to the monsters coming closer. He didn’t care what tripped him as long as it wasn’t one of those and he would not be taking his sights off of them.
There were more. "Move." Keionx stepped into action immediately, shoving herself between the daywalkers and the 'weaker' troll, the troll she was going to protect, cutting down the nearest zombie.
Chiara seemed to be doing alarmingly well, but that wasn't what Kei was concerned about.
There - there was a terminal, very nearby, and she needed a way to escape notice and set that up...

Zeylla eyed Nictor, and a dissatisfied sigh rang out across the com system. The poor yellowblood was obviously not meant for this, he was much too soft for such violence and strife. But still, he was here, so he would have to learn to deal, because there was no backing out now. She shook her head slightly as Rutaca stepped in and saved the day. That troll was too kind on Nictor, if he didn't get cornered how would he learn to fight? There wouldn't always be someone to protect him, didn't he know that?
Still, they needed to get rid of these zombies, so with some swift, brutal punches to one of their soft cranial areas, Zeylla dispatched another of the hoard before them.

Chiara cursed and lept back, zombies! Who would have guessed! The drat things were just everywhere! It was awful! She growled and then raced in to attack. It was TIME for these ********. They were going DOWN! She spat with disgust. Thank god she had helpers to kill these things. To be honest she would rather they just take care of them all, but she had to show Zeylla not Zellya how cool she was.
Keionx thought very hard about how she was going to get to that terminal as she investigated down the next hall. Coming to a closed door, she had her idea.
"Door ahead. Go on without me - I need to do some... Science." she communicated, smiling as she remembered her secret identity.
Perfect.
... But she'd check on the door first. Just to be sure!
"It is not locked." she commented, as she walked back to the terminal. She didn't see anything amiss, though it gave her an odd feeling... Ah well, surely they could handle whatever came.
She touched the black box hidden on her person and went back to the terminal.
"I'll catch up - it will be fine."
The door is trapped!!

Chiara heard something as she opened the door. And it didnt sound like a good thing. The blueblood stepped into the room, didnt notice anything, and so stepped in farther. Then the burning sensation came. LAZORS! It was a laser trap! Chiara yelped as she rubbed the hurt parts. Then she looked over to the corner... of course, zombie gerbils. Why wouldn't gerbils be zombies??
This is a mini-boss battle, the full rules and mechanics of which can be reviewed here.
The room beyond the door seems empty from the hallway, but stepping inside you are swiftly aware that you are not alone! For lurking in the corner is a dark groaning shape. As it turns towards you, you realize you are entering strife!

1 - Powering on the ship is easy enough, with the instructions from headquarters in your ear. The screens show that the ship is functioning perfectly, and headquarters patches in the control of a remote helmsman. They wait until you have returned to your boarding pod and leave, before steering the ship away.*
2 - Powering on the ship is easy enough, with the instructions from headquarters in your ear. As the screens boot up however, dozens of red warnings and errors flash across the screen. It seems like there has been critical damage to the ship in multiple places. Your team is instructed to leave the small black boxes containing deadly explosives in key positions on your return path to the exit.
3- The ship refuses to power on, even after you follow headquarters instructions to make sure they are plugged in, and hitting ctrl-alt-del. It looks like something core is not functioning. Your team is instructed to leave the small black boxes containing deadly explosives in key positions on your return path to the exit.
4- Powering on the ship is easy enough, with the instructions from headquarters in your ear. The screens show that the ship is functioning perfectly, and headquarters patches in the control of a remote helmsman. They wait until you have returned to your boarding pod and leave, before steering the boarding vessel away.*
If any troll in the party has helmsman authority, they can steer the ship to given coordinates, then return to the boarding vessel with the rest of the team.
Congratulations! You have completed your mission and returned back to the docking area! Squad commanders, be sure to report in!

Nictor peered cautiously ahead into the room and made a short noise a the sight of the skeletal horde. Ahhhh, no no no, he didn’t want tiny creatures chewing holes through his suit and then into him and he certainly didn’t want that vague sense of relief that is wasn’t more trolls.
It would seem Nictor’s time being able to hang back and avoid combat was at an end though when their captain took the opportunity to shove Nictor through, first into battle this round.
The leader that gave the team a name that was literally pointing out his ineptitude! He couldn't spare a moment to glance back in panic at his teammate because he was busy being a sacrificial lamb.
First off. Those lasers burned and it was not nice at all. Second, he was right these guys really wanted to chew holes and they came right for him, leaping to attack but he managed to knock the go getters away with his arm guards. These things were incredibly useful and he’s so thankful Bee got him into the habit of wearing them always. Without the horror of another troll trying to kill him, instead just the normal amount of horror, he reacted more swiftly, with his usual nerves and jumpiness. There was still some fumbling and small noises, but he was much faster to get his bo staff out this time with the wave of gerbils bearing down on him and start smacking them away. No, no no, off! He shook one free of his boot and swatted another. Nictor was not one for violence but he was not one for dying either and the pile up of tiny thrashing deadly bodies was enough to make him lash out to keep them away.
