"Hell yeah!" He yelled, hi-fiving Psykgi back. "Let's keep this train moving!" Leeroi felt light on his feet again, and a little less embarrassed. He wanted to prove himself with the rest of this mission, no matter what nasty monsters stood in the way.

Sinter patted out the remaining flames on the elbows of his space suit. No breaches, thankfully, but the outfit was turning into something of a slow cooker. Sinter sighed in relief and sheathed his sword.

"All's well that ends well, I suppose," he added, pointedly not looking at the remains of whatever the hell it was they just fought. "Let's hope we can keep up this momentum."

The mission was going quite well so far. Perhaps they could find something excellent to bring back with them for additional.... Rewards.

Leeroi followed into the room, fairly calm after their last monster encounter. This room seemed to be fairly empty, and there wasn't a single thought in Leeroi's head that considered that frightening. Almost immediately, he began digging through the technology, looking for anything useful.

Something caught his eye. "Hey!" He called out to his team to come see. "I found something."

"Wait just a tick..." Sinter muttered, pushing himself to the front of the group. "Something doesn't seem right about this."

Sinter carefully inspected the frame of the door. He appeared to spot something, and carefully traced along the seams of the wall paneling until he found what he was looking for. Using an edged tool from his belt, Sinter pried a panel off the wall. "Aha. An alarm. This door was rigged. Give me just a moment." A few snips and a brief flash later, the mechanism in the wall gave a sad, dying buzz. Sinter popped the panel back into place as the door slid open harmlessly.

"Let's see what's on the other side this time..."

This is a mini-boss battle, the full rules and mechanics of which can be reviewed here.
The room beyond the door seems empty from the hallway, but stepping inside you are swiftly aware that you are not alone! For lurking in the corner is a dark groaning shape. As it turns towards you, you realize you are entering strife!

3- The ship refuses to power on, even after you follow headquarters instructions to make sure they are plugged in, and hitting ctrl-alt-del. It looks like something core is not functioning. Your team is instructed to leave the small black boxes containing deadly explosives in key positions on your return path to the exit.
4- Powering on the ship is easy enough, with the instructions from headquarters in your ear. The screens show that the ship is functioning perfectly, and headquarters patches in the control of a remote helmsman. They wait until you have returned to your boarding pod and leave, before steering the boarding vessel away.*
If any troll in the party has helmsman authority, they can steer the ship to given coordinates, then return to the boarding vessel with the rest of the team.

Were those... Gerbils?! Oh no, poor things! Psykgi couldn't be too pitying of them - they came at the group like a swarm. Fortunately, she'd trained with a swarm - and she started smacking.

But ugh they were vicious... really vicious, and nasty and ugh. She didn't want to play with these very long... No siree.

Leeroi felt a twinge of remorse, looking at these awful, freaky gerbils. How did they get like this? "WHO DID THIS TO YOU?" He shouted, bracing himself. It was up to them to put them out of their zombie misery.

He fired his shotgun into the mass, but still they quickly overcame him. Gerbils biting at his legs, Leeroi did his best to kick them off, wincing as he did so.

Leeroi dealt 5 damage.

"Damn!" Leeroi was getting overwhelmed by the little buggers!

Yes, definitely, she needed to speed this up. "On my way!" she tried to dig her way through the gerbils and clear them away for her moirail, tossing one of the grenade/drones out into the the swarm.

Nothing.

Damn... Maybe I should have checked them before coming! She'd probably needed to keep up maintainence... damn.
