Raising her chin, she shook her head lightly. "It's okay. I can get it all." She could handle a lot! ..Two trips was just annoying for the impatient girl was all. "I dunno," she said with a sigh. Miss being small? Not likely! "Mama showed me how ta break 'em before," she assured as she turned back, leaping through the open window again for the fun of it. Carefully carrying the eggs back, she set them onto the table as well. "When Koril comes back from his trip, we should get chickens he can take care of. Then we can always have fresh eggs!" Koril was the animal friend, so naturally such a task would be up to him!

"Mk." Kyril smiled at her sister's shenanigans. How those sisters always had so much playful energy to do these things she would never know, but the older girl found it amusing rather than frustrating. "Ah, then you definitely have to show me your egg breaking skills." She teased as her sister disappeared again. Who knew that they would ever be doing this? Kyril was rather impressed by her sister's desire to cook with her. And here I was thinking we would be starting fires throughout the town. She joked to herself as she began to grab bowls and a large wooden spoon for the batter they would make. Ah, and they would need one of those square pans that her mother placed the cakes in...now where was it? Pursing her lips thoughtfully Kyril stood on tip-toe and grabbed at it before Shierra came back with the eggs.
"You think?" She grinned, "Though I like Xaraan eggs for omelets better..." Kyril nodded, "But we should definitely ask for chickens too. I would like to have more fresh eggs myself so we can bake more often." She handed an empty wooden bowl towards Shierra, "Now go ahead and crack three for me so I can add in the flour and butter. Oh! And sugar..now where did that go?" Leaving the bowl to her sister the young mage glanced about the kitchen before finally spotting the jar across the room. Walking quickly over to it she returned triumphantly with the clay jar in her hands and opened the lid to reveal the shimmering substance, a light brown sugar that came straight from those strange canes which grew along the islands.

"Mmmm! Xaraan eggs!" They sure were tasty, and extra could be sold for much more than chicken eggs. Pulling the bowl closer, Shierra rather quickly broke open three eggs; and then spent a few seconds picking out pieces of shell that had gone in with the yolks. "See? I can do it," she said proudly. She grabbed up a whisk and held it at the ready, eager to start the mixing.

"I see, I see." Kyril giggled before showing Shierra more about how to bake a cake. They added in the wet ingredients to the bowl of measured flower and then beat in a bit of extra sugar and the fruit pieces. Despite the mess it was truly fun to get to interact with her sister like this. Kyril would consider it an afternoon well spent. As the mage lit the fire of the oven with a flick of her fingers the girls placed the cake into the little ovens on the side of the stone hearth. And then after their mess had been cleaned and the floors swept free of any potential shells, flour, etc Kyril found herself reaching into the over with a wooden slider so that she could take the cake out. The smell flooded the kitchen with a heavenly sweet scent and she sat it on the counter, "You think it'll be okay to test it out before anyone else gets it?" She joked lightly as she glanced towards Shierra.

Shierra enjoyed baking. Not that she would ever make a point of letting others know, but the process was soothing and fun. She liked baking with mama, and now knew that Kyril was fun to bake with, too. Sniffing at the air as the cake came out, Shierra felt her mouth watering. She hurried over to the counter to look at the reward of their work. "Mmmmm!" she hummed, wiggling eagerly. Looking up at Kyril's words, Shierra broke out into a big grin. "It's like papa says when he eats from my plate! We should make sure it's safe before they eat any!" What better way to end a day than an early preview of the delicious smelling cake?

Kyril giggled, "Exactly!" That stated she cut out slices for them and picked up a pick of her cake with a fork and placed it in her mouth, "Mmmm." Yes this definitely had been an afternoon well spent with her sister. After all who could call an afternoon baking a delicious cake a waste? Kyril definitely wouldn't!

Taking her own first bite, Shierra giggled happily and smiled up at her sister. What had been a rather crummy turn of events had turned into a rather delightful day! She scooted herself closer to Kyril's side, resting her head on her sister's arm while she ate. Okay.. so maybe being just a little small wasn't so bad. Just for a little while more.
