Physical Description: M'aze does his best to stay in shape and it shows. His 6'1 frame is fit and muscled and it's hard to find enough fat to pinch on him. He has soft blue eyes and dark brown hair that he doesn't do too much with, just the occasional cut to keep it from getting too long. He shaves on occasion but he's fairly hairy so he usually sports a short beard. When not in the sun he's fairly pale, but more often than not he's got a bit of a tan from being out and about.

Personality: M'aze is the kind of guy who seems to know everyone. He has a great memory when it comes to names and faces and he goes out of his way to remember little details about everyone to make them feel special when he sees them - asking about parents, children, spouses, dragons, a new home, etc. He's quick to help when someone needs a hand and doesn't expect anything in return, a firm believer in doing good without payment. M'aze is great with kids and is quite happy to help out watching young children or helping older kids with their studies, whether they're Candidates or not. He loves 'dad' humor, puns and awful jokes are never in short supply when he's around!

While his helpful and joking nature is nice to some, it can certainly come off as annoying to others. He doesn't try to step on any toes but he's not a pushover, either. If he is challenged or someone has beef with him he will gladly face them head-on and has no problems getting physical to resolve issues. He does have a bit of a temper once he gets going and it's hard to calm down after an altercation. He has very set beliefs and values and those who don't hold them can definitely grate against him. M'aze also loves a drink...probably a little too much. He's not an alcoholic but it's a close thing and he often turns to taverns and pints when feeling down.

Negative: Can be irritating to some, Temper, Drunkard, Brawler.

History: M'aze grew up in a family of dragonriders and knew from a young age he'd follow in their footsteps. Impressing fairly quickly at age 15, he had never expected to get a bronze as his entire family had only ever been Impressed by greens, but the moment his new hatchling spoke he knew it was meant to be.

Mine! There you are! I knew from the moment you touched my egg that we would be an a-maize-ing pair!

Boom. Soulmate in dragon form. His family was all quite proud of him for Impressing a bronze, but once their own dragons told them just how corny Zeath was...well. They weren't too surprised. M'aze was quickly tossed into a life of action and attention thanks to the color of his dragon and it took him a bit by surprise, but thanks to his outgoing nature he settled into his new role quite well. Zeath was more reluctant to do all the extra work than M'aze, but he could always bribe his dragon into training or simply going out for a flight. After a few years of settling into their position in the Weyr it became second nature to both dragon and rider (even if Zeath would 'complain' constantly about doing work) to help out whenever asked with whatever problem arose.

It quickly became apparent that Zeath was quite in tune to other humans that were non-riders who exhibited qualities that a hatchling might find desirable. M'aze was quick to inform those in charge and soon he and Zeath were added to the Search Rider ranks. To this day he has Found thirteen Candidates that eventually Impressed (will probably make another character with one of my other dragons from the freebie pack that they Found).

Through the years M'aze made quite a few friends, dragonriders and other Weyrfolk alike. His approachable and easy-going personality have won over a lot of people and his great memory for names and faces make him quick to befriend new people. On the flip side, there are more than a handful that would consider him an enemy with how many brawls he's gotten into for one reason or another. Zeath doesn't bother himself much with the attachments that his rider makes, preferring the company of M'aze and other dragons to that of other humans.

During their time together, Zeath has never risen to chase a gold or a green. He does feel the pull and hears the calls, but he is well aware of his rider's sexual preferences. While some might call Zeath lazy and a bit selfish, M'aze knows that his dragon has his back no matter what may come. It was what made them an incredible force when Thread fell, catching the Weyr by surprise. They rolled with the punches and performed impressively, pulling more than their weight both in the air and on the ground. When letting Zeath rest, M'aze was running to and fro to help medics and other riders with damage control and assisting those that were wounded. Since then M'aze and Zeath have been ready for the call to fly against Thread again, eager to protect their home and help those that find themselves in trouble.

Physical Description: Zeath is on the smaller size for a bronze dragon and is quite average in build, not too slim and not too bulky. He has a few bands of light and dark bronze on various parts of his body, as well as strange markings that resemble corn. He has a dark blaze on his nose to top it all off.
Personality: Zeath, like his rider, is a bit of a goofball. He enjoys making awful jokes that get groans more than laughs and will sometimes try a bit too hard to get a chuckle out of others, whether it's 'verbal' or physical comedy. He can shape up when Thread falls and he has a job to do, but most of the time he'd prefer to laze about in the sun and nap rather than train. Zeath is quite cunning when it comes to getting out of chores and is brilliant at coming up with shortcuts which usually prove to be quite effective. He's smarter than he lets on, preferring to come off as the lazy fool because, quite honestly, he's happy with that title.

Temperament: Goofball, curious, playful
History: Kernel was a Nameday present to M'aze from a friend. M'aze was both delighted and a bit unsure of what to do with the egg, considering he'd never even considered raising a Firelizard, even in his youth. You could imagine his delight and surprise when the little bronze burst through his shell blowing mucus bubbles with the goop that covered him, tittering in a laugh-like way when they popped in M'aze's face. He was glad to add another goofy guy to their group! Kernel isn't around all the time but when he is he's always good for a laugh. M'aze isn't sure where the little bronze gets off to but whenever he has a need for his tiny companion, he always pops up.
