Looking across at the young woman, Yokka gave a sharp laugh. "Right. Can't be too awful," she repeated, shaking her head. Waving the menu, she caught a server's attention and ordered two bowls of the soup. With that done, she leaned forward with interest. "If you don't mind me asking, you're Matorian, right? I've seen others with ears like that. ..They're really cool."

"Ah." Chrys nodded absent minded, "Somethin' like that." She managed with a wry grin, "Thanks for the compliment. I'm actually surprised that you saw other Matori already. I guess this is becoming quite the popular vacation spot for others from Tendaji."
She shook her head, "But yeah I'm Matori with a bit of somethin' else I guess ya could say." Still she felt more at ease here in a land full of strangers than she ever had in Tendaji.

Brow rising, Yokka cocked her head. A mix? "Whatever you're mixed with, it's really pretty," she mused. "Even without the blue skin. But yeah, I've seen a couple of them around. I figure there'll be lots of new folks around here, now that the way is open." She leaned back when the soup arrived, the bowls placed before each woman. A golden broth with veggies and chunks of the meat was deliciously fragrant. "Okay. Time for the truth. Is it awful?"

Chrysanthe's gaze widened in surprise before she glanced away, "I suppose...." She replied quietly though shock had flushed her cheeks. The other girl actually...had called her pretty. Dammit I was not prepared for that. This land really was strange at times.
As she focused on the soup Chrys took a slow sip, "Mmm." She nodded her head and found a small smile flickering across her features, "It is really good. Thanks."
