Caia cradled the cat carefully, stroking his fur as gently and reassuringly as he could. He looked every bit as sympathetic as he was the first time the Mauvian gave him that pleading expression. “You stand out, even without it. But I know it’s important to you, so we’re going to find it. I promise.”
He stroked down his back careful and gave him a gentle squeeze.
“So don’t put any more energy into worrying, put it into thinking about where the hat could be and finding it, and everything will be okay. I have faith that we’ll find it, so I know we’ll succeed! No need to be sad, okay?”
He couldn’t help but try to plant a little kiss against the Mauvian’s fur as he pet him.
He knew they weren’t cats, but he couldn’t help it, not when he seemed so sad.

He was sniffling, as much as a cat could sniffle, pressing his small cold nose against the senshi's collar. His small body was trembling as he was held, the ever present worry that he'd never find his hat and he'd just be another hatless cat keeping his spirits low.
He seemed to wilt, becoming a limp catty noodle in Caia's arms as his hope became less and less.
"I need my hat," he mumbled, ears flattening against his head as his face was peppered with little kisses.
For being a white moonie, Caia was alright...if he could find his hat.

”I know,” Caia soothed, holding Theo gently. He continued trying to console the Mauvian, but his soft words were interrupted by a strange creaking noise, and then a loud crack.
It didn’t sound like anything good, so he drew Theo closer and peered around the room to find the source of the noise.
Too late, did he realize that it wasn’t from the ceiling or any of the walls around them—it came from below them. When another harrowing crack echoed throughout the room, Caia’s eyes jerked down the to floor, just as he felt the ground crumble.
He tried to run to the far corner of the room, but the moment his weight shifted, that part of the floor fell, too.
There was nowhere to go but down.
