Name: Theodore :: "Teddy" / "Theo" Wolf Species: Dire Gender: Male Size: ✦✦ Family: Theophila (twin sister) Orientation: Booksexual Unknown Status: Single :: Extensive rp required Color: mediumturquoise
Theodore was born spineless, cordial, and with a thirst for knowledge, a combination that more than once had gotten him and his sister in trouble. His peaceful nature often leads him to conform and compromise rather than stand his ground, preferring to avoid fights by pleasing others. Teddy is a diplomat at heart and wants to maintain the balance wherever he goes, but anything beyond friendly small talk can get him flabbergasted quickly.
Nurtured by his odd mother, he's capable of reading the human's written English language -- well, to a degree anyway -- and he loves to invest himself in their tales whenever possible. He'd like to be the hero, but he knows better; thus, he just reads about them.
Teddy's ultimate goal? To see if he can copy the human's sigils and write down wolf histories! Barring that, he would like to begin an oral tradition of keeping their stories and passing them down, as he is enchanted with the idea of creating a sort of "mythos" to enrich the imaginations of future generations and keep the past from disappearing.
He lives in an abandoned library, lost amidst the pages of ancient history and fiction. Don't let his stern appearance fool you: he's always happy to talk.

Name: Theophila :: "Phila" / "Phillie" / "Thea" Wolf Species: Dire Gender: Female Size: ✦✦ Family: Theodore (twin brother) Orientation: Unknown Status: Single :: Extensive rp required Color: mediumturquoise
Theophila isn't quite the poetry to her brother's prose: she's intrigued by the books and manuscripts left behind by humans, but unlike Theodore, she knows not to let her head fly up into the clouds. Still, if humans can be cool, she can definitely be cooler. Smarter, too.
Fascinated by the endless pictures in medical texts and zoological magazines, she's come to understand the anatomy of a great many species. And while Thea's practice in hunting has helped, she longs to be able to make it more efficient: conserve energy, go for the specific weak spots of each creature, make it as painless and as easy as possible for both predator and prey. Her interests stretch beyond animals as well: the she-wolf dabbles in herbology to an extent, mostly sticking to the deadlier substances both to be aware of them as well as to remember their future uses in poisons and such.
Her morbid fascination seems...mostly harmless.
Separation from her brother has allowed her to become colder and, ironically, more animalistic. Her cunning has sharpened its cruel edges.

Name: Faelenthir Wolf Species: Dire Gender: Female Size: ✦ Orientation: Most likely bi, not the least bit sexual Status: Single :: have fun? Color: olivedrab
Life is full of omens, and she's of a bloodline cursed to see them. And when the gods can't have their surprises, Bad Things Happen.
Faelenthir has been brought up to believe she will know little happiness and much misery because of her gift. Is she always right? Hardly. But that's because the gods' trickery also knows no bounds, and what better way to discredit these special wolves than by eroding away their credibility but by bit? In the end she's but a tool to whoever sees fit, and Faelenthir's become comfortable with that fact. It won't stop her from bemoaning it, though.
In short, she's a bit of a downer.
It doesn't help that her conversations can be winding and vague and 80% morbid. She can't help it; this is all she's known. Faelenthir's less brimstone and fire about the end and more doom and gloom, passive and stoic. Maybe someone can break her out of the self-defeating cycle, maybe not. Just don't ask her what the odds are.

Name: Cobalt Wolf Species: Dire Gender: Male Size: ✦✦✦ Orientation: Gay Status: Eventual mated pair with Cardinal (DHS) Color: deepskyblue
The strong eat the weak. This was the testament all pups grew up with in Cobalt's pack. With an iron-fisted father and an overall gender-divided society, he was quickly molded to be the "strong, masculine heir" that was expected of him. No vulnerable emotions, absolute confidence, and reliance on nothing other than himself. He was good at it; he hated it.
And soon, that anger broiled into a deeply cutting sarcasm that tended to ruin anything if he so much as opened his mouth.
The real problem wasn't so much that Cobalt was gay than it was that he was no good with any of the available (read: well bred) females, be it personality issues or straight up fights breaking out. In and of itself that was a trial, but then he started to scamper out of the borders more and more with his friend Cardinal, and then the rumors--the scandalous rumors--began. The kind that said this would-be warrior prince would rather cry over a bird's song than eat it whole. That he held fear. Cobalt was reprimanded publicly and privately removed from his position; his younger brother would take it.
The problem was, power is never given. It must be taken.
Faced with his impending death, Cobalt could do nothing but flee, and hate, and cry. Perhaps he truly is weak. But with Cardinal there, maybe that's not such a bad thing.
Alone in the wilds, he's learning about himself. That the glass is half-empty and also probably poison. That social norms hold no bearing if you leave it, but also that old habits die hard. He doesn't mean to be sexist, just....give him some time. That he's eager to sour smiles and make witty retorts, but that he never really means harm--well, unless you've earned it. That he holds grudges longer than the river is old. That maybe, just maybe, it's not so bad to be sensitive.

Name: Maple Owlsong Wolf Species: Dire Gender: Female Size: ✦✦✦✦✦ Father: ??? Mother: Cedar Owlsong Siblings: Arru Owlsong & Ruu Owlsong Orientation: Bi with a lean towards girls Status: Single and incredibly flighty Color: sandybrown
When your mother is a stern old fart, you learn to be the opposite: a sweet je ne sais quoi. At the same time, growing up under that stern old fart while also knowing that your grandfather tried to kill you and your family, well...it certainly makes one more willing to sugarcoat even the worst offenses your kin make.
Maple is an odd mix of that sugar and spice, the mother's daughter and the rebellious teenager who absolutely knows what she's doing, thanks. Most days she's at the mercy of her whims, following songbirds and gossipy squirrels just to listen, or nipping at her brother's tails to incite a playfight, or nestling against her mother after a long day and whining about how fast stupid hummingbirds are. They've all lived a hard life; she feels it's her duty to make them remember it's not all that bad. Her youngest brother gets the most coddling, especially since Cedar's heart has more or less shut itself off.
Innocent and vixen, devious yet divine - this is how Maple sees herself. And as long as you let her do as she will, she'll be a strong friend to any wolf that wants it. But woe to anyone who tries to pin her down: her family's history, along with a contrarian streak, makes even pinning a date in for the next day seem like too much of a commitment. Why stay with one when there might be better opportunities elsewhere?
Not that this makes her fickle. On the contrary, Maple is a fierce defender for family and friends, more than willing to bite the tip off an ear off to show it. Outside of that circle, however, love and affection and attention are just...complicated. And Maple does not want or need more of that in her life.
