Toki, initially startled, calms down quickly enough once she realizes there's absolutely nothing shiny in the nearby vicinity. She finally notices the student with the decidedly non-reflective weapon.

"Not even a coin...not even any gold...but hello, friend! It's such a relief to see a fellow student!"

Not waiting for any kind of reply, she brandishes her camera.

"Let us take some photos! Now, don't worry - we will not run out of film, this is not that kind of camera - let's see some different expressions, hmm?"



The camera spits out 6 (...6?) polaroids, and Toki quickly slips 3 (are those...copies?) into her sleeve before cheerfully handing the others over.

"Such optimism! I should follow your example. Indeed, we will not die! At most, we will be terribly injured, dissipate, and reform again at a later time!" Toki exclaims, not helping one bit.

"When we return to the school, you must come visit me..."

"...Or I can come visit you! No, no, do not worry. I will find out where you stay. Even if you are asleep...there is always the window. Or the vents. Or a hole in the floor."

She pats his wing/hand in what she thinks is a reassuring manner. It is neither a pat (please let go) nor reassuring (it is probably time to buy new locks).

Seren turned, startled, at the new voice. She found herself staring, then trying NOT to stare, at her first Ever Real Live Halloween Resident. She found herself, unexpectedly, wanting to hug the odd looking but adorable being she was confronted with. "Ah. Yeeeeees, students. Yes." She chose to go with that, because she had NO desire to risk angering this adorable little girl-thing. She had no idea WHAT the Halloween'r was, but she was cute. So cute.

She blinked a little at the question about dorms, and chose her words with care. "Sadly, no, we have lost the route to the school. A photo would be lovely, though." She wondered if Rhys would object, but she hoped not. She pondered the comment about 'shiny', then dug in her pocket, pulling out some crystal star beads she'd found and strung together, before offering them to the other girl. "It might not be shiny here, but have some shiny stars?" There was about 6 of them on the strand, 3 in clear crystal and 3 in blue crystal.

She almost wanted to ask if she could have a photo to take home of Toki, too, but that seemed like a bad idea, which made her sad.

"Such generous patro--students!" Toki exclaims, resisting the urge to immediately wear everything (this place looks a little dangerous) and instead keeping them safely inside her sleeve.

"So kind. You must be third year students. If I do well, someday I might acquire such wondrous and sparkly weapons as yours!" (no.)

"Come, smile for the camera! It is so nice to have student photographs. Perhaps there will be a yearbook."

Was this one of the monsters he'd been warned about? She didn't seem all that dangerous...

Oh, wait.

"Frien-wha?" Henry backpedaled a few steps, completely taken aback by the rabid approach and unexpected behavior. She wasn't growling at him, not being threatening really in any way, but instead, seemed to be brandishing a camera at him? He blinked at it stupidly for a moment before looking up at her again. "Uh, sure?" Though he didn't sound completely certain.
