Seren watched the other woman, a deep frown on her face, worried about her. Clearly something was bothering her, and Seren didn't know what, or how to help. "You... ok? Seriously, you look kinda grey and that's not... a healthy skin tone, hun..." Her eyes darted about, taking in the details of the young woman she was trying to become friends with.

"And yeah, whenever you want. I'll bring you the shirt later..."

At the question about liking this place, Seren shrugged a little. "I mean it's better then the basement or being out on the street, so that's a bonus. And I don't have to work all the ******** time just to get fed, so that's nice too. Plus, I met Joy and Rhys, who are good friends, plus Terry and you seem to be pretty cool too. Melvin seems nice too. So a lot of good. On the other hand, I'm suddenly a warrior maiden or some such, some of the people here seem a whole new level of insane... to the point where I'm not sure who'd even be trustable if, say, I wanted something more'n friends with... and there's a self entitled Rich b***h running around who makes me want to strangle him but I also want to feed him now because he seems so ******** helpless about food and THAT is annoying. I only normally feed people I really like..." She sighed, then remembered her cookie bag, and offered one to Kim while nomming. "Though if I have food, and some one's there, I share too..."

Seren looked at the other girl, still really concerned. "Are you sure?" She was quite sure the panicky sort of behaviour had begun shortly after she had arrived and started talking. "Cause I mean... It seems like timing says I at least said something. I don't want you to be upset over something I said... If you have any questions about anything...? Seriously, please ask." Her eyes were sad that the other girl felt the need to bury it.

She smiled a little. "Joy is fantastic. She was there when I woke up, so I feel like I owe her a lot for making it an easier transition for me." She watched the other girl, and smiled warmly, nibbling a cookie herself. She didn't eat all that much of them, though. "I'm glad you like it... I don't bake too often, so please enjoy. I made a big batch to bring to Rhys, cause he got hurt. These were the ones that wouldn't fit on the plate, so I have spare. Have as many as you like."

Seren watched the other girl break down and lurches forwards, leaving the bag of cookies behind. Nothing else mattered then the fact that this woman was crying. Seren's arms went around Kim, not caring if the other woman shoved her away or even punched her. Kim needed a hug, needed a friend... And Seren was all she had right now, in this moment. They barely knew each other, but there wasn't a chance in ******** hell that Kim would be left to cry alone.

She held the girl, listening and shaking her head, furious at the world for making so many people so self hating... Not at all seeing the irony in this, because frankly she was pretty much the same way, and Diwata was trying to point that out, but Seren ignored her because Kim needed a friend.

"Kim... You deserve Terry. I don't know your past, I don't know your story, I don't even really know you but you seem like a ******** nice girl who deserves a good guy who cares about her. Don't you dare tell yourself you don't deserve Terry." She leaned in the hug to make sure she could see Kim's face, gazing down at the smaller woman. "You are a beautiful woman, if you were single I'd probably try to make a move on you myself. That said... I can't truly answer about what happened to and with Terry. When I last saw him at Dares, he was off on his own."

She took a deep breath, then said "I got really distracted by this homophobic a*****e who punched Nash for kissing him, when Nash was being NICE and not doing the full dare some one had given him. I got into a verbal argument with HomophobicDICKBAG. When it got calmed down, I noticed some stuff going on between Melvin and RichBitch. I tried to give Melvin a dare that would make things more fun for him, and instead he ended up assaulted by HDB. I pretty much had a meltdown, cause I felt like I'd just ******** it ALL up... Kai and Rhys helped me come down from that." She sighed. "So I really can't tell you anything, but what I DID see seemed to involve him being on his own, mostly watching and occasionally daring some one."

She refocused on the not wanting part. "Now then. Back to that other issue. He wants you. He cares about you. He was talking to me about you pretty quickly when I met him. I'm absolutely sure you matter to him so very much. Don't you listen to that ugly voice in your head saying otherwise."

Seren didn't let the other woman go, and wouldn't unless, and until, she pushed Seren away... Though she would at that, now, when she wouldn't before because it seemed the main crying was over. Still, it seemed this other girl needed a friend, needed comforting. "I suspect most of us here have a ******** up past, yes. RichBitch might be an exception but ******** him." She gently rubbed Kim's back and settled in sort of next to and behind her, cuddling the smaller woman in a comforting manner.

"I suspect even his story isn't the best... But Kim." She tilted her head so she was gazing into the other girl's blue eyes with her own. "I don't believe you ruin everything. I bet most of it isn't your fault at all no matter what people have told you or has happened." She remembered a talk like this with her own Terri, and Mical, and felt a deeply pained twinge, one that might, despite her very good skill at masking her emotions, actually show on her face for a moment. "Life likes to ******** up the good things you get, and then make you feel it's your fault." She sighed, and shook her head. "I can't deny that stealing the artifact and losing it was your fault. I can deny that you ******** up everything. I don't know you well and I already like you as a person. Stop listening to those damn voices in your head."

She paused and added "I know how hard that is, though. I have them too."

Seren just calmly held the other woman, letting her relax against her. She wasn't used to cuddling, much, honestly, other then the kind she'd had with her partners, and had been discovering lately that... she liked being held, or holding others, platonically. She sighed, softly, in a calm sort of way.

"I know that feeling. Ye gods and little fishes do I know that feeling. You get used to hearing them, and they become almost comforting, because at least they're there, unlike other people." Oh there was definitely bitterness in that statement, and she rested her head back against the wall.

Kim's comment startled a laugh out of Seren. "I mean eventually I'll need to like.. pee, or something, but until then, or until your boyfriend wants you back, we can do this all you like." There was an equal lack of anything to her words that indicated this was more then friendly comforting.

"Ahhhhh yeah Rich b***h. His name's Lysander Astoria. He's tall as ********. Pretty, but so goddamn entitled. I've seen posts from him on Twitter, and we ended up in a... serious discussion that had me so pissed off. He's one of those Rich Idiots who thinks being poor is a choice, as if being forced into a situation at 16 where you have to work three jobs to feed yourself is a choice." Again, bitterness. "Also I'm pretty sure his assistant, who is here too by the way? Yeah the man brought his PERSONAL ASSISTANT with him, got the poor guy to sign up... Anyways I'm pretty sure Roswell is seriously gone on him, and I'm equally sure RichBitch wants him too but also wont indulge himself, thus torturing the ******** out of poor ******** Roswell."

She paused, then added in a curious tone, "And Roswell's brother is here too, it's interesting." She shook her head. "Anyways, the man comes across as useless to me, and possibly stupid in a very real way. He's still convinced he can ESCAPE this place. Utterly ridiculous."

"Frankly, I think he can turn his back on anything. He seems to have the commitment skills of a five year old. And... like I said. I think Roswell is gone on him. To the point where I, sadly, think he'd sacrifice his happiness forever for ******** RichBitch. Which is a pity, he's pretty, if short for my standards. I wish I could help him. Also I think they selected both because... Well Ros's brother showed up yesterday? The day before? Somewhere in there. So that whole bloodlines thing."

She closed her eyes, a soft sigh slipping out of her at the words Kim was telling her about some of what she'd gone through. "It sucks when the few people, or person, you can trust and care for leave on you. So ******** hard."

Seren tilted her head so she could watch Kim working over her shoulder, fascinated. Some one walking in might think she was resting her chin on Kim's shoulder, but there wasn't actual contact going on, just curiosity.
