He was definitely the "learn from your mistakes" mentality kind of guy, so he nodded in agreement when she said that. "I'll probably ask to do a follow-up mission to go and kill the thing," he admitted, still a little salty that he'd gotten knocked out at all. Also, he knew that leaving things in that state would just mean a continue influx of fear creatures in the area so he was essentially just finishing what he started.
The brunette nodded along as she answered his question, eyes falling to the various other bandages on his body, particularly the one on his arm. It was still pretty clean now but he imagined it would need to be changed soon.
"Alright, well. I guess that's good to know. It's kinda hard to get a lot of sleep 'cause people keep coming to change these or give me painkillers. The painkillers are good, the changing the bandages really sucks." And he made a face at that.
"Any way you can tell how much longer I'll be in here?"

Luka looked pensive.
Considering the man on the infirmary bed she nodded. "Take help this time maybe?" She had yet to go on a proper mission so she wasn't entirely sure what to expect (but something told her that she wouldn't be able to expect anything even with experience).
The stuff she was doing now was pretty basic first aid things that were easy to teach if the person paid attention.
The fighting stuff, that was something she wasn't as confident in but she didn't let that deter her.
"Prolly can be discharged at the end of the week if you keep healing right. And stop refusing bandage changes. They'll only keep giving you pills for so long."

The "take help" advice was met with a smirk and a little nod. Of course he knew to take help, and in a way it was kind of funny that that was the only advice someone could give him. It made him think that maybe she had yet to get sent out on a mission, maybe because she was still so new or because her name just hadn't been drawn for one yet (or however hunters were chosen for those).
At mention of being discharged by the end of the week he gave her a rather hopeful look, which soured somewhat when the caveats came up. They made sense, to his irritation, so he scowled.
"Fine...I guess. s**t hurts though, what can I say."

Luka always thought that her youth showed in her face, but maybe her glasses hid that. It didn't matter she was too focused on her task to really let her patient know how new of a trainee she was.
She'd be ready though, she was certain, when she was called to her first mission. (Hopefully with her sister at her side.)
Luka offered Rhys a tentative smile only to sigh when he scowled. "S'not my fault, you took a nasty beating. Gotta make sure you heal right." She took a step back, clipboard pressed against her chest. "Need anything before I go?"

He still curled his lip at the idea of being stuck there for a lot longer than he hoped, but he did understand and gave a slight nod.
"Fine, fine. And no, I think I'm good for now. But maybe..." and he eyed her carefully, wondering if she would be more lenient about it this time since he let her change his bandages like he promised he would in exchange for the painkillers.
"Some extra pills? So I don't bug the next nurse that comes by?"

Luka nodded, jotting something down on the sheet on her clipboard when her head lifted sharply and her eyes narrowed slightly.
"No. You can't take any more for about six hours. I suggest sleeping more." While the pain was dulled enough that he couldn't notice it. "Too many pills too soon is a bad idea." But she thought that was a given. Still, nurse hat was on and she wasn't going to let it slide.
"Get some rest, okay? We gotta make sure you're in top shape when you go finish the job." With that, she smiled softly and turned to leave.

He frowned at how efficiently she shut down his request but left it alone. Her expression and very deadpan tone told him that he probably wouldn't be able to change her mind so it would probably just be a waste of energy.
"Fine," he grumbled while scooting down until his head was properly on the pillow again. He couldn't even disagree that he wanted to heal up nicely, so once she was gone he pulled his blanket back up and closed his eyes, though he doubted he'd be able to get back to sleep after having just napped not too long ago.
He was out like a light in less than five minutes.
