"Yes they are just young like all of us." She smiled at the young boy. "We plan to become raiders, rulers of the sky. An aerial battle unit. If we can find you a kinfa, would you care to join us perhaps?"
They would need others after all. The world could not be ruled with only two. She grasped Tsallin's hand tightly.

Tsallin's eyes smiled at Ruulu. She was such a plotty little warrioress, off recruiting for her purpose at every likely opportunity. "I got my kinfa as an egg." He wouldn't go so far as to say he had found it in his Mother's purse. The little lad need not know that.
"They do come up on the markets once in a while, but are precious expensive due to their rarity and the danger held in aquiring one."

"Well I would like some time to think about it, I do want a kinfa of course but to choose my life path quite yet is a bit fast for my liking." His father a rather ponderous sort had advised against rash decisions..

He was shockingly patient for someone so young. When she had been that young she had been a veritable ball of impatience. It was very wise of this young boy to wait and weigh his options. "Well I am sure it would be good to have a ground crew as well. Maybe a Beast Charmer, a Theif or someone who can use magic. But for the immediate future we are in need of winged soldiers."

Tsallin too was impressed and his eyes sparkled with delight. He was just what they needed a stahlwart thinker to help balance out his own neutrility and Ruulu's fast forward approach to tactics. "Take all the time you need, we are not about to force anyone into it ever."

Rydan nodded and encouraged Onlias to return to his Master. The leafling accepted the bird back with a smile. Rydan wondered why these two were together, friends for sure but with a faint echo of the admiration that his parents shared with each other. "Very well then I will think on it."

Ruulu wondered why Tsallin had neglected to correct Rydan on his heritage. "My name is Ruulu and this is Tsallin, may we have the pleasure of your name young one?" She inquired politely. It wouldn't do to have no name to add to the potential list in the roster.

Tsallin coughed discretely to hide his smile and he accepted Onlias back onto his arm as Salukis flew back to her mistress with a gift of fish in her beak. "Guess she figured out how to fish then." Onlias promptly flew onto Ruulu's other shoulder and started to beg shamelessly for the food.

"Well he sure figured out the system hasn't he?" Watching the kinfa was so fascinating as well as the deep bond they shared with their future riders. He wanted one so bad now. But he didn't think his parents would think it wise to go traipsing off in the wild, joining what amounted to a gang all for the possible affection of a legendary kinfa.

Ruulu was now quite in the middle of a kinfa food squabble. She could feel Tsa laughing at her predicament beside her. She snorted and yelled, "Enough!"
The kinfa subsided, "You will go hunt for your own food and you will stop teasing him with that fish!" She said clearly and firmly, shrugging her left shoulder sending Onlias off into the air. It was clear who the alpha was at the moment.

Tsa widened his eyes innocently at her thunderous face. It was her mercurial and stormy temper which kept him intrinsiquly interested, along with the rest of her charm of course. She was so beautiful, and he knew he had a huge crush on her. But that couldn't be helped.

Rydan watched the pair with no little amusement, definitely twitterpated. Such was the cycle of life. "Well my new friends, I must be off home. Much thinking I will have to do. Stay in the area so I may find you to tell you my decision when I make it." He paused, "My name is Rydandaroch."

She waved a hand nonchalantly at Tsa. Ruulu then blinked at the awkwardly long name. "Rydan for short then. Well Rydan we look forward to your answer. We plan to stay in Matori for a while and investigate the disappearances that have occurred here."

"Yes this is the plan." He fed Onlias a tidbit from his carry bag. "Now it seems we must go shopping or we will go hungry tonight. I am in the mood for fruit and hot meat. Car to point us in the direction of the nearest market?"

Rydan nodded and pointed out the way. "Just over there thought the palm trees. Ask for Deveran, she carries the best well everything. Now I'm off home, I'm not supposed to be out after dark." He accepted the coin Ruulu flicked at him with a smile. She said ti was payment for scaring his critters away. It was mighty thoughtful. Hybrids seemed awfully kind, he was happy to be one.
