Jesse Randall ~ The Grizzly Cat Stories :: Bookstore ~ "It's so easily done," Jesse would nod before her eyes widened as Fidel said she could keep the book as a 'gift' in regards to it being the Festival, "You really mean it?" her ears were upright and perked and she would watch as he disappeared, clutching the book close to her chest as she waited curiously for him to return,
"It's beautiful," she would take the scarf as it was handed over, taking a moment to wrap it around her neck - allowing the ends to trail down her front to keep her chest warm before zipping up her coat, "I'll be sure to bring it back, along with my patronage!" she would giggle when he mentioned about not wanting to see her become an Ice Sculpture, "You never know, I might have won the contest at that rate though," She would extend an arm, embracing Fidel in a 'half-hug' as she was so grateful for what he'd done for her,
She would pick up her bag and keep the book held close before pausing as she turned to leave, "Oh," Setting her items down carefully, she would take a moment to rummage through the bag before straightening back up and extending a hand, "Think of it as a gift from me - from the Festival of course," the item would be hidden inside a little pouch, but for the Shifter's generosity, she hoped it would make him smile,
"I'd better get going," she would smile sweetly back at him before picking up her things and turning for the door, she wouldn't hesitate for long, but couldn't help but brace herself as she finally touched the handle. The cold air rushed in and she shut her eyes slightly before glancing over her shoulder and giving the male a grin and a wave, "Thanks again, Fidel, and Happy Solstice!" After that, she would step out into the evening air, her sights set on the Academy.

It was nice to see the girl so happy. Fidal smiled as she put on the scarf, making sure it would keep her warm. While she could win as an ice fox, he wanted her to come visit again. Her hug caught him off guard though. Quickly, before she let go, he wrapped his arms around her in a light hug.
He didn't even expect the small gift she gave to him. "Thank you, Jesse. Happy Solstice and have a good night." He would watch as se walked down the street and out of view from the store. With a shiver, he closed the door.
The pouch she gave to him was soon opened in a controlled excitement to reveal a small metal fox charm. The gift seemed more than appropriate and he fastened the charm behing the heart tag that dangled from his collar. After a minute of admiring it, he went to finish his chores before sitting by the fireplace and drifting off to sleep.

The morning was peaceful and gorgeous. The cold painted an intricate lattice of frost on the windows of the store. The inside was quiet, except for the occasional creak of the building. Fidal, after coming up from the basement where he slept, took a moment to take in the atmosphere of the store.
When fully awake and satisfied that the day will go well He hurried upstares to his appartment to finish getting ready. Quickly washing up and getting dressed, he threw on his top hat, grabbed his gloves and a packaged tart, and returned downstairs. He would gather a decent selection of books, requested for delivery and some he chose, and rushed out the door.

Jesse Randall ~ The Marketplace - heading for The Grizzly Cat Stories :: Bookstore ~ Jesse couldn't wait to see if Leo had managed to complete her request, she could just imagine the pair of them wearing both coats together, it excited her to see what Tay thought of her Solstice Gift - even if it was a little later than intended.
The Marketplace was rather quiet that morning, but Jesse didn't mind - it meant fewer people to weave between and more chance to enjoy leaving her mark in the freshly fallen snow as she walked. The Fennec Child didn't exactly hate the snow, but often wished it could perhaps be a little warmer - like sand! Although, you can't really build too much out of sand, without water anyways.
Spotting the sign to Leo's Tailor shop, Jesse quickened her pace, taking care to kick the snow from her footwear before reaching out for the handle. "Oh? Strange..." taking a step back, the Fennec Child took a glance up towards the chimney which was usually breathing out large white plumes of smoke if the Tailor was in. This morning, it seemed to have run out of snuff and Jesse could only presume the female was either still in bed - a lot of people seemed to be quite sick lately - or otherwise out perhaps enjoying the weather?
Undeterred, Jesse smiled and shrugged, maybe she would come back later then? Humming a happy tune, the female would turn, adjusting her hood before setting her sights on a new target.
It felt as though it had been a while since she had dropped by Fidel's for a visit - and seeing as though she was already a fair ways through her book, and also in the marketplace, Jesse figured it wouldn't hurt to pop in for a visit.
Walking swiftly once again - starting to feel the cold a little more now she was outside, Jesse would make her way through the market until her eyes located the sign that was 'The Grizzly Cat Stories' Bookstore. Advancing, she would once again kick off the snow from her boots before reaching up to test the handle. If the door opened, she would beam and call inside, "Hello, Fidel, Are you open this morning?" she of course would step inside and close the door behind her,
If the door however remained shut, the Fennec Child would pause in some confusion, wondering why two of her favourite stores were closed and perhaps where everyone was that morning.

Fidal was up half the night, with his usual powernaps, looking for information on fae. He couldn't find much. There were sightings from around the world, as well as some details on fae that he wasn't sure if they were true or false. He put some books aside to take to Elijah later, after closing.
The following morning had him in his natural routine of breathing in the store atmosphere and going upstairs to ready himself. Returning downstairs, he began a morning cleaning, to make everything look as fresh as possible.
He was pleased when he heard the door open and his favorite little Fennec walked through. He bowed to her. "Miss Jesse, always an honor." True, it was her second time at the store, but Fidal didn't think that meant that his statement was untrue.
"Thank you for asking. I am well. I managed to just finish the cleaning. How are you? Staying warm?" He wpuld go over to her and inspect her quickly, brushing off some snow. It reminded him of taking care of his younger sister.

{Where: Bun Bun's bookstore } {With: Jesse and Fidal } {Wardrobe: Wintery. Cloak} {Song: Leo's playlist } { Profile: XXX } Leo had entered the shop as she removed her hood from her head. She looked around. Soon her eyes landed on the small fennec fox. Leo squealed as she ran over and hugged the small shifter. "It is so good I ran into you here. I am so happy. I am able to kill two birds with one stone." She released the small fox as she began to dig through her bag. She pulled out a bundle of fabric like it was gift wrapped. She held it out. "I finished it for you. No pay. I feel so much joy having been able to make this for your close friend." She stopped as she noticed she may have interrupted something. She stood to her feet as she lowered her head to the bunny shifter.
"I am so sorry. Do forgive me. I didn't mean to intrude. But could you point me to a Fidal? I need to find a way to change a tattoo to something different. I need a scroll or a written parchment with it or something." She placed her hands in front of her small frame. She was getting dizzy but she had so much she needed to do. She needed to get things done before she could relax. She was fine. Her cold will need to wait its turn. She rubbed Jesse's head as she smiled brightly.

Jesse Randall ~ The Marketplace - The Grizzly Cat Stories :: Bookstore ~ Jesse was overjoyed to see her rabbit friend and as the door was closed behind her, she removed her hood and unzipped her coat, "This place looks amazing," she beamed, knowing the male kept good house - although the store was old, it was always far from dusty, "It's not as cold as the other day, but it's still a little chilly," she would loosen the scarf he had given her, "So I might keep this a little longer...Oh!" It was as she lifted her gaze that she spotted the little metal charm she had given him upon her last visit - the tiny fox hung beside the heart on his collar and it made her so very happy to see him wearing it, "You're wearing my charm!"
She was about to say how honoured it made her to see him wearing it, when a squeal reached her ears and she turned, "Leo!" she was equally as excited to see the Shifter female and hugged her just as tight, "I had thought you might be sick, I saw no smoke from your chimney and was a little worried," it clearly showed on her face, yet she tilted her head to one side as Leo mentioned about killing two birds with one stone; it didn't take long for her grin to return though as the shifter pulled out the bundle and offered it to her, "You finished it?!" She was surprised, but this was certainly a day of delights and the Fennec Child rushed in for another hug "Thank you soo much! I'm sure Tay will be soo happy with it!" she had considered un-bundling it to see, but as it had been folded so neatly, she didn't want to spoil how it looked.
She was just as surprised to hear that Leo expected no charge for it, so many people were soo very nice around Eoana, but Jesse would once again make sure to find some way to return her gratitude - even though none may have been expected.
Her head already tilted, Jesse would now tilt it to the other side as Leo realised she might just have intruded perhaps? She couldn't help but reignite her smile when her fellow Shifter asked where she might just find Fidal, "Oh, he's not too far away," she would beam, glancing towards Fidel before giggling as the female rubbed her head.

The fox girl flattered him. His store wasnt anything too special. Still, he appreciated the compliment. "Well, we'll have to keep you nice and warm. Let it not be said that Fidal Taguel, the Bunny Butler Spade, let a cute fox freeze," he said jokingly. He playfully went to tighten the scarf back up. Chuckling, he pet her head gently. "Of course I am wearing it. I love it, thank you."
Before their conversation could continue, though, a rather striking black cat walked into the store. She seemed to know Jesse, which, now that Fidal thought about it, quite a few people did. Like Sylrenya. Apparently the cat was as kind as she was beautiful as well, seeking to wave the fee for service. Fidal joked to himself that it must be because the fox was so adorable.
He wasn't offended that they were interrupted, either. The Lady seemed excited to see Jesse and Fidal wouldn't turn his nose up to that. When she revealed that she was looking for the rabbit, Fidal pet Jesse again as she giggled and gave a little bow. "How may I be of service, milady?"

{Where: Bun Bun's bookstore } {With: Jesse and Fidal } {Wardrobe: Wintery. Cloak} {Song: Leo's playlist } { Profile: XXX } Her smile had widened when she had been hugged back by Jesse. She couldn't wait to have children someday. They were so precious. The small shifter thought she had gotten sick. She wasn't far from being wrong. Leo was feeling under the weather having overworked herself the other night. "A simple cold would never keep me from accomplishing my tasks on hand Jesse. Do let me know what she thinks of it." The small girl was so sweet. She bent down and placed a hand on Jesse's cheek as she heard he wasn't too far. She stood up and looked around. She tilted her head as she was soon greeted by the bunny. A smile brightened as she had always loved bunnies. She hugged him as she played with his ears. Leon's scent was all over her. She gasped as she totally spoke to fast earlier. Maybe she had thought she had told him. She does that sometimes.
Stripping off her cloak as she peeled off the bandage over the tattoo. She turned and revealed it. "Well you see I need to get this covered up. I need to find information on how I can do it. I can't wear this mark and need it changed." She took his hands hoping he would help her. She hoped she wasn't too much of a bother. She honestly needed it gone and erased from her back all together. She squeezed his hands a little as she felt very warm to the touch especially since she had just come from the cold. She looked back at Jesse as she didn't want to stay in their hair too long. She had so much she needed to do today. She couldn't let herself relax too long.
"I won't keep you two too long. I am needing to get back to my shop to open it." She rubbed her arm once she released Fidal's hands. She soon looked around the shop as she squealed again. She never took time to notice how nice the store looked. It seems to have beat hers. Floating Lotus seemed so drab compared to the bookstore. This gave her an idea. She looked toward the bunny shifter as she grinned. Her tail swayed behind her. She will have to invite him to the shop and get his measurements. She wanted to make him an outfit to wear. "Sir Fidal I know this may sound forward but I would love for you to stop by Floating Lotus one day so I can make you an outfit. Jesse you too. I have an idea for a cute dress for you." She clapped her hands together as she looked at them. She was so sweet. She had learned from her mother how to be kind to those around you. Hear ears twitched as she looked around once more.

Jesse Randall ~ The Marketplace - The Grizzly Cat Stories :: Bookstore ~ Once again, Jesse was overjoyed to hear that Fidel loved her gift to him, the fox charm had been something she'd seen during the Solstice Festival and knew it would make the perfect gift for one of her friends - it just so happened she'd made a new friend that day and to see him wearing it now made her soo happy. She seemed to be getting lots of pets today and she grinned, listening as Leo reassured her that she wouldn't let a simple cold get her down. "Oh, you'll be the first to know," she grinned, "Just make sure you take care of yourself, I'd hate you to get really ill,"
She would watch as Leo pulled away her cloak, moving around to inspect the tattoo as the black leopard removed the bandage that was hiding it from view, "It looks pretty," she would lift her gaze, curious as to why her friend would want it covered up, but could see it upset her and decided to hold her tongue instead, the last thing she wanted to do was make Leo feel any worse,
As the Leopard Shifter mentioned about staying only briefly as she needed to open her store, Jesse smiled once again, having planned to head that way after finding a book...but then again, if Leo had already brought with her what she was going to collect, then would that not mean she had saved her a journey...? Jesse would take a moment to mull that over before perking up as Leo mentioned about her idea for a cute dress, "Oh? I would love to see what you have in mind," she grinned - having not thought to bring anything all that pretty with her when she left for the Academy, Jesse was growing tired of having to patch up her older clothes when they started to wear out - She of course had money to buy new ones, but had never really thought about it when she already had what was comfortable and only needed washing when she'd worn it... Realising that sounded bad in her head, the Fennec Child lifted her gaze with a smile,
"I'm hoping to head your way after I find myself a new book, I'm nearly at the end of the one you gave me," she looked to Fidel as she started to speak of the book, "It's a wonderful tale and I'd love to see if there were any more that followed? If you don't mind, I'll go take a quick look," Not wanting to drag the male away, Jesse would use this as an excuse to slip away, leaving the two to talk for a moment as she wandered over to check out the shelf of fantasy stories Fidel had pointed out to her upon her last visit.

Fidal listened closely to Leonora. Whatever her reason for her to change ger tattoo, it was important enpugh for her to risk her cold getting worse. She could not wear the mark anymore? Fidal found the whole situation peculiar.
As Jesse, the excited little fox, went off to search for the next book she would lose herself to, Fidal addressed Leo's concerns."I have good news and bad news for you. I'll start with the bad as it is not terrible. There is no book or scroll that can help you. The art of the Tattooist is a delicate one that requires proper attention to teach. Usually it is something only taught by one with experience." He paused to gauge her reaction before continuing. He was curious how important this was to her.
"The good news is that a very good friend of mine has a raiment that may be able to help you." Asking for a minute, he left her to go into the back room. Fetching a piece of paper and a quill, he wrote her a note to give to Elijah explaining how Leo found out about him.
"Please take this. Elijah works at the Academy as their Librarian. I would go tomorrow, though, if I were you. He was busy yesterday researching something, and I would assume that he received little to no sleep." He would continue to say he appreciated her offer on making him an outfit. Since moving to Eoana, he had no time to freshen his wardrobe.

Jesse Randall ~ The Marketplace - The Grizzly Cat Stories :: Bookstore ~ Jesse's large ears could still pick up the conversation from across the room, however she had learnt to 'tune out' what she was hearing and instead focused her attention on perusing the titles. As before, her fingertips traced the spines, delicately making their way across the lettering before something of a familiar style caught her eye.
Sliding the book from the shelf, Jesse would examine the title, then flip the tome around to read the Blurb. It was book Three! - She was delighted, but didn't want to spoil anything and so, whilst cradling the book in her arms, she glanced across the tomes for the second. It would take her a moment or two - Fidal always took great care in organizing his books - but eventually her search would come to an unfruitful end... "Darn," presuming someone must have already purchased the second book, Jesse turned, making her way back towards the pair who were still discussing Leo's tattoo.
When she heard mention of Elijah, Jesse would nod quietly to herself - the male always seemed to be working so very hard to ensure the Grand Library reflected its title and that often meant he was lacking sleep - she was currently unaware of anything else that might have passed between their last meeting, but hoped the Librarian would eventually find time to himself to recover.
Jesse would wait until the pair's conversation had come to a close before turning to Fidel, she was smiling, but one of her ears quirked outward slightly, showing she was a little disappointed... When asked, she would hold up book three and explain that she'd had no luck finding the second... "I'd still like to buy this one, if that's okay?" she knew there was a chance that it might not be there when she returned and wanted to ensure she could continue reading, "But I was wondering when you might have book two in next?" she would tilt her head, her large ears following the motion as she smiled,

Fidal, having animal ears himself, could notice the emotions showing in Jesse's. She seemed disappointed. It was a confirmed observation when she asked about the second book. Fidal pet her head. "Worry not, young, adorable one. I'll let you borrow mine so you dont fall behind. However, a copy is coming in a week if you still want it."
He had glanced at the book she was holding to confirm he had the set stashed away behind the counter. He liked stories where someone who never had aspirations of being a hero were suddenly forced into action. They showed more emotion than the stories of aspiring heroes. Unless the story was of an aspiring hero facing great odds and struggling at every turn... Really, Fidal just liked stories of heroes in general.

Jesse Randall ~ The Marketplace - The Grizzly Cat Stories :: Bookstore ~ Jesse's eyes widened as Fidal offered the loan of his own copy until her book was expected to arrive, but she just smiled and shook her head, "Oh, I'm very grateful, but that's no problem at all, I'm happy to wait," her ears perking up, she shot him a grin, "I still have a few chapters before the end, I just like to get the next tomes in before I finish so I can just carry on straight away," She didn't mind having to wait a while, having already made a start on Silme's Coat, Jesse could see it as an opportunity to perhaps carry on and maybe even finish it.
"So maybe if I come back sometime towards the end of next week?" she tilted her head, still clutching the third tome before reaching around for the pouch where she kept her money, "I'll have a little more coin too," she grinned, having only planned to buy one book that day anyway, "How much do I owe you today?"
She would count out the coin into Fidel's hand when the amount was requested, then lift her gaze towards Leo, smiling before turning to face her with a light bow, "I had better get this book back before I put it down somewhere and lose it," It wasn't often that Jesse forgot things, but she knew that with the array of fascinating clothing that Leo had in her store, she might just set the book aside and leave without it when the day came to an end, "I'll be sure to drop by when I get the chance though, I'd love to see what you have in mind!" the smile never left her lips and as she made her preparations to leave, she would look back to Fidel and bow again,
"Thank you for your help Fidel, I'll hopefully see you next week?" casting another smile towards Leo, the Fennec Child would bundle herself up again, pulling up her hood before taking her leave of the store.

After time to rest, Philia took time to ask around for some kind of bookstore... To which some people pointed her in the direction of "The Grizzly Cat." She wasn't quite in the mood yet to explore their contents, but felt a need to familiarize herself with the place so she may return with ease. "Perhaps I could take a look... Then again..."
