There it was! Mnyiri's own antennae flickered, seeing the....could it be....happy look come over him. She was starting to think that the teenager was incapable of it! Was he really that pleased to hear someone say something nice to him? The boy obviously needed new friends! And she was determined to be one of the first.
"Well let's work on that! You need something to do in your off time, to give your toughness a break and recoop for the next round of butt kicking." Not that it was working out too well for her, mind you. She had yet to actually win a battle, but she didn't need to tell him that. When she moved, nodding enthusiastically, the bells in her dreads chimed out a happy little song.
"You don't seem like the kind of person who would like painting, so I'm thinking something more physical? How about dance? Can you shake those hips at all? Or music! A friend of mine can play the flute; have you ever tried?"

Zigaran's eyes went for a moment to the girl's hair, taking in the strange, chiming decorations, finding himself a bit curious about those. He gave a shake of his head before forcing himself to focus once more. He'd ask her about that another time, right now it seemed that he was supposed to be paying attention and finding himself a hobby to do in his down time. It was a strange thing to consider picking up at his age but maybe it would be something to at least try? "Painting...? No, I don't think that would be for me." He didn't think that he had the patience for that sort of thing. It just involved far too much sitting still for his liking. At the mention of dancing and 'shaking his hips' his dark orange eyes went a bit wide, his cheeks coloring ever so slightly, "I... can't say I want to go about shaking my hips for anyone. As for music... that seems to be more something that my Matorian mother would like. I've never really tried it myself since I was far too busy with training for that sort of thing."

Sensing she was getting somewhere, at least to a point where a little light hearted teasing could be had, Mnyiri pushed further. "There isn't anyone you want to shake your hips for? Well, even if there isn't, it's a great way to get rid of stress and keep you limber." Several of the friends Mnyiri had made over the years were performers that traveled from settlement to settlement. She'd come to realize early on that by dancing, something of a rarity for her kind, she could help draw people in. Of course she wasn't particularly skilled at it, but the movement was fun and Mnyiri had always been enthusiastic in her endeavors.
"Oh! Then find something the two of you can do together. You've got training with your alkidike mom, so do something with the matori mom too. I'm sure she'd really like that." It was something she'd wished she did more of while her mothers were still alive.

Zigaran gave a shake of his head, "Nobody." The idea of doing such a thing was far too embarassing if you asked him. He didn't want to even consider the idea of doing something as foolish and weird for anyone, "I'd much prefer to keep my dignity and pride in tact if at all possible." That was something he wouldn't risk no matter what. "Hmm... perhaps." The idea of taking up a hobby with his Matorian mother might very well involve something music involved. Did he dare to even consider such a thing? He wasn't sure what his Alkidike mother might think about that though since she was raising him to be a warrior, not a singer. Would she be disappointed in him if he took up such a hobby? Would she see it as a waste of time that he could be spending training? All things to think about when it came to coming up with something to do in his down time. After a moment he released a little sigh and said to the white haired girl before him, "I... will consider your words, look around, see if I can't find myself a possible hobby."

Mnyiri made a 'psssh' noise and waved her hand through the air. "Pride goeth before the fall...or maybe that was just my sanity, who knows. I say let loose and have fun, but to each their own." In her book you only had one shot at life, unless Aisha was kind enough to give you another, so you'd best make it a good one.
"Don't stress yourself out over it. If you do it, cool, if not, then it's not big deal." She shrugged her shoulders, and slipped her hands behind her back, clasping them just above her belt. "I should really probably get going soon. The others will be wanting to get back before it starts to get dark, buuuuuut I'll come back and check on you, if that's alright? I'd kind of like to see how you're doing, if we're going to be fighting together one day. Ooh, and my name's Mnyiri, if you ever need it or want it. If you don't you can forget it, your choice."

Zigaran's dark eyes went a touch wide as the other mentioned the pride going before the fall. Not something that he wanted to think on too hard though because he really didn't want to consider it going at all. He'd do hisbest to instead keep on the path before him... provided that he didn't end up completely mixed up and messed up by the girl's advice. Here was to hoping that it turned out to be good advice and not to the sort that would get him in trouble. Giving a slow nod of his head Zigaran said, "It was nice to meet you, Mnyiri. I do hope that we meet up again." She was different, but not in a bad way. In fact it was in a way that made her easier to talk to then a lot of people out there. Giving a bit of a smile he said, "I'm not sure if I said so but my name is Zigaran." Had they missed introductions? He supposed that it was possible since they were so deep in their conversation. No matter though, they at least remembered at the end, right? Better late then never.

"I'm sure we will. We're connected by Aisha, after all." Her antennae flickered when she smiled and started to step away. She wasn't entirely sure which way Mvua took off, but he would come to her if she called. He never went that far off.
"Zigaran, huh? I'll see you around, Ziggy." Before she could judge a reaction from the nickname, she waved and completely turned to leave. He was a strange kid for sure, a tough one, but one that held Mnyiri's curiosity. This definity wouldn't be the last time they met, she would make sure of it.
