"Honestly, it came out of nowhere. We weren't aware it was there until it was right on top of us. However, it eventually backed off towards the caverns. At best bet I would say that is a point of interest, however, we don't know what's in there. I can't advise going in there. There's only three of us. We couldn't handle the dragon before, what makes you think we could handle it now??" Fangite said, glancing towards the caverns. "This is your dumbass mission. It's you, who makes the calls here. I don't know why you're asking my opinion."

Amazonite nodded, turning towards the caverns. "Well!" She said. "Before, you weren't expecting it. Now, we're going in knowing what we're fighting. It's a dragon, right? So let's be dragonslayers." She let go of his arm, finally, and unholstered one of her weapons, twirling it around a finger. "We have the advantage of surprise, this time, and we know that it's just a big youma. I mean, it'd be better if we had more people, but...we've got us. And Airi. It's fine!"
She jogged towards the caverns, weapon already at the ready. "We can find it and flank it, and go for wherever there seems to be a soft bit. And we fight together. We don't split up. We don't run away. We take it down."

Fangite snorted. They knew of at least one thing in the caverns but not all. "You want to flank a massive dragon..." Fangite deadpanned. Oh goodie. He couldn't wait to see how this ended up. "We fought together last time. Do you think me incompetent Amazonite??? I'm telling you, this won't work but you do what you think will work. I'm going reserve the right to say I told you so. Let's just get this s**t over with." Fangite drew his blades and trailed behind.

Amazonite advanced through the caverns, frowning the entire way. They were deep and dark, and it seemed easy to get lost.
And then she heard it. A low, deep rumbling, like the breathing of a great, dark creature. "We're close," she said lowly, sneaking forward.
She stepped aorund a tunnel and into an opening -- and there it was.
A great and terrible and sleeping dragon.
And further back in the room, a crystal, human sized - and when she squinted, she could see a body inside.
"s**t," she breathed. "That thing is huge."

"I told you so." Fangite hissed, taking a stance. "So fearless leader..." He sneered. "Now what's your plan of action? He said glancing from her to the dragon. Behind him, he could here Airitech growling and snarling. "Easy..." He murmured, sweeping a hand out and into the Youma's fur. "I know... I know..." The youma hissed, snapping it's jaws, leaning his weight against Airi. "We need to do something, sooner rather then later, and preferably before it wakes up Mimsy."

"I...yes," Amazonite said. She frowned, considering. "I'm going to climb on its back. There might be some sort of break in the armor there. Fangite, I want you to go in for its face. See if you can take out the eyes, render it blind so it can't fight us. Airi, go for the throat - if its underbelly is soft, get in there and rip it apart."
This was not the soft Squire Fangite had met. It wasn't even the battle-hardened Knight of a terrible, dark future.
Amazonite was a Captain of the Negaverse, and she was ready for blood.
She ran for the dragon and bounced onto its back, moving forward to the back of the neck and looking for weak points in its scales.

Airitech didn't need to be told twice. The youma bled itself into the shadows before reemerging near the creatures throat, only this time his form had shifted. His fingers twitched and his ears swiveled as he readied a strike.
Fangite on the other hand didn't move from his position just yet. Choosing instead to watch the two of them get into position before moving himself. He listened as the dragon rumbled, Airi's own snarls and hisses, drowned out by the thunderous noise. He moved infront of the things large nose before climbing on it, maneuvering his way to one of it's eyes. "Hello beastie..." He muttered. "Remember me?" He sunk his blade into the dragon's eye.

Amazonite grinned. Her plan, so far, seemed to be working - and she thought she saw what might be a gap, at the juncture between the neck and the head, it was just not....quite positioned for her to get to it with the way the dragon was sleeping.
And thne, when Fangite's blade stabbed into its eye, it bellowed and shot up, exposing its throat and also exposing the vulnerability.
"Yes!" Amazonite whooped, throwing herself forward dagger-first and sinking it into the gap. "The other eye! Get it!"
"How dare you?!" The dragon roared, shaking its head in an attempt to dislodge the two captains. "You are worms, and I will destroy you for this indignity!"
"Good luck," Amazonite hissed, driving the other knife in and dragging it sideways.

"How dare I? How dare I" Fangite hissed, twisting the blade in the dragon's eye. "How dare you. It's you who has made my life a living hell. It's you who thought it wise to attack a General and a Captain. It was you who has cost me sleepless nights. It was you who brought us here to day and it is you who will get what you deserve." Fangite growled out. He punctuated each sentence with another stab to the eye until his hand was coated in fluids he would rather not think about. With one final stab, Fangite moved to the other eye and readied himself to repeat the process. "Airitech." He ordered. "Go for it's throat. Tear it to pieces."
On the command, Airi lunged, sinking both teeth and claws into the dragon's throat. He jerked his head back, trying to tear at the skin.

Amazonite whooped as a strange, black, bloodlike substance splattered onto her face when she pulled one knife back. "******** you, you giant goddamn monster, you're going down," she declared, and then she brought a knife up and around, hooking it under one armor plate and pulling. The dragon howled in pain, thrashing harder, but the howl choked when Airi's fangs sank into its throat.
It struggled, whipping and flailing, tossing its head to and fro in desperation.
As the dragon faltered and weakened, torn apart by three relentless attacks, the crystal it had created weakened too, and the chaos energy from it leeched into the prisoner it held.
Finally, it shattered, the dragon no longer having anything close to the energy to maintain it, not when it was fighting off a three-pronged assault.
for the first time in years, General Natron opened his eyes.
He felt full to bursting of chaotic power -- leeched energy from the beast that had held him. And he also felt full of rage.
He recognized two of the figures struggling with the beast - that was Fangite, and Airitech, and whoever was with them, it was clearly a friend.
He charged forward, sliding under the dragon's tail and bringing both blades of his kusarigama up to rip its weak, unarmored underbelly open from one end to the other. When he slid out from underneath it, he was covered in its strange black blood, and he was grinning like a madman.
"Die," he snarled, and he leapt at it again, hooking a kusarigama in its exposed throat to leverage himself off the ground.

Fangite began repeating the process of stabbing out the Dragon's other eye, oblivious to the cracking and shattering crystal farther off. His balance was lost though, as the dragon's head jerked wildly, sending the Captain flying.
Airitech's ears twitched before his attention was torn from the dragon's throat and landed on Fangite's body as it sailed across in open air. "Fangite!" He yelled, releasing his hold on the dragon and using it to launch himself into the air to catch his Captain.
The pair hit the ground with a hard thud, Airitech's body wrapped around Fangite's"

Amazonite, too, went tumbling when the dragon shook its head, but she kept her grip on her weapons, and they kept their hooked grip in what she'd dug them into, so she yanked off a chunk of the dragon's armor plating as she fell from its neck to its back, ending up splayed out and breathing ********," she gasped, staring up at the thing, badly injured and snarling in agony. "Fangite! You okay?" She shouted, and she prayed for a response in the affirmative.Natron let out a furious snarl as soon as Fangite went flying.
"No!" He shouted, and he yanked out his kusarigama, teleporting up to the spot on the dragon's back the unfamiliar Captain had vacated.
"Get off this thing," he snapped in her direction, and she snapped to, bouncing off its back. The dragon let out a furious roar, and Natron chuckled darkly.
"This is for crystallizing me and hurting my boyfriend, you reptilian son of a b***h," he said, and then he dug both kusarigama into one end of the dragon's neck and leapt off the other side, letting his own weight and gravity do all the effort of pulling him down and through its neck.
His boots hit the ground of the cavern at the same time as the dragon's head, landing in a crouch, and once he was well and assured it was dead, he stood and ran over to Fangite, kneeling down next to him.
"Starshine, please, look at me," he pleaded. He could already feel the strange boost of energy draining out of him, and he wasn't sure how much longer he could stay conscious -- but even covered in blood, exhausted, bleeding a little himself and bubbling over with chaos and rage, at his core all he wanted was to make sure Fangite was safe.

Airitech whined for a moment, laying on the ground before sitting up and dragging Fangite with him. He growled for a brief moment as unfamiliar hands entered his field of vision, reaching for Fangite. His fur stood on end and he bared his fangs, snapping at the limbs in front of him until a noise from Fangite distracted him.
"Ow..." The Captain muttered, slowly opening his eyes. "Next time she can gouge the eye out." Her weapons were better suited for it anyway. Fangite didn't even want to begin thinking about what his hands were now coated in. He scowled as Airitech suddenly crowded him, the youma's growls ringing in his ears. Fangite shoved at his muzzle, trying to push him away. "What is your iss- you...." He trailed, staring at the form before him.
Oh.

Amazonite dragged herself over, giving a slightly longing look back at the dragon's corpse as it dissolved into dust. It would have been wonderful to be able to bring back some piece of it as a specimen, but. Alas. The Rift did not seem to feel like providing.
"Wow," she said, once she got a good look at Natron - blood-covered and wild-looking, but still clearly alive. "You're actually not dead. I figured it was about a 50-50 shot, but hell. Nice."
And then she sat down and decided that she would move if and when she had to, and no sooner.Natron sat back on his heels, flinching away automatically from the very large youma teeth snapping at him. He wiped some of the youma's blood off with a sleeve, and then frowned and shed his entire jacket - it would reform next time he powered up anyway, and it was so bloody that it served better as something to get rid of remaining damage.
And he took a good, long look at Airi, and frowned. This was not the youma he'd known - he was familiar enough, but different in some subtle way.
And he could no longer feel their bond.
"Airi, it's me." He extended a hand towards him like he would to a large dog, but mostly his focus was on Fangite.
"Hey," he said, "you look like you're seeing a ghost." He frowned, briefly. "How long has it been?"

Airi continued to growl and hiss, snapping his jaws until a hand in his fur brought him down to quiet snarls. The youma dragged his gaze from the person before him to the Captain in his arms. "He... He doesn't recognize you, in a way." Fangite mumbled, combing his fingers through Airi's fur. "Airi's... a bit protective. Been through quite a bit all things considered." Airi was acting now, just as he had in those dreams of another time... right down to the faded scars left on his arm. "His bond... It's with me now." The Captain sighed quietly as the large wolf nosed at him, brushing his muzzle against his face with a huff. "He's changed a little bit because of it."
"Can you blame me?" Fangite said quietly before he lunged, throwing himself at Natron. "You promised!" He yelled, clinging to the smaller man. "You promised everything was gonna be okay! It wasn't! It wasn't okay and... and you left me! You dragged me into this hell and then you left me! You said you wouldn't do that" He sobbed. Fangite wanted to beat his fists into the other mans chest, but he couldn't bring himself to let go. "I... I thought you were dead. I didn't come looking because I didn't wanna see it." His body shook as he buried his face in to whatever part of Natron he could reach. "I was afraid to see it. I let you rot in here because I got scared." He should have gone back, but he didn't. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
