Ozzrick scrubbed the side of his neck and shook his head. “No, I, ah…was just surprised, is all. You didn’t look to me like the sort they’d send out into dingy territory.” As to the other part of the comment, he cleared his throat. “And I wouldn’t say frequent, no. I don’t think it’s where I came from this time…”

But under the circumstances he unfortunately couldn’t be sure. He set that aside for later.

“Still suppose I owe you thanks, aye? Even if it does end on this…” He gestured vaguely to the site of his ‘repayment,’ “…scent.”

Oz grunted, but nodded, and then shot Tacrith a grin of his own.

“Not under these circumstances, anyway. It was nice meeting you. Maybe even worth the headache to wake up to a pretty nurse.” Then, with a wink, he started into the room for the aforementioned cleaning supplies. It wasn’t perhaps the most grandiose of places to depart at, but the young doctor had been an interesting Yaelian among those he’d met so far.

Probably well worth it, in the grand scheme of things, given all the other ways the evening could have gone.
