"Ahhh, you're helping out with all the gardening, are you? My nephew has been quite earnest about the work, spending all his spare time planning things out as well as planting what plants we've been able to get for him thus far." It was good to know that Callistos had found something like that to call his own instead of only following in his mother's footsteps. Giving a little chuckle he said, "It must be something that he got from his father's side since my sister wouldn't even think to get her hands dirty in such a way."

Giving the girl a pat on the head he said, "I would suggest finding a possible guide to Tale if your... ahh... skills as a cartographer aren't on point." To the point of ending up in Zena instead of Tale, poor girl. "I'd say head home first though, to show your parents that you're alright despite the Dretch menace."

As she mentioned something being 'pretty' he asked in a curious manner, "What is? Oh! The runes? I was told they were a pretty flashy pair. It's a tad bit lost on me but at the same time I like fancy things too, even if I can't appreciate them to their full extent." Something that caused him to chuckle a bit, never really brought down by his lack of sight. On occasion it could be annoying because it could limit some things but overall he couldn't really bothered by it since he'd been like this since birth.

"I'm glad to hear that. I am sure that they will be glad to see you as well. Given everything that's happened I am sure that word of the Dretch must have reached every corner of the world by now." Makani said then added, "At least I really hope that it has. They are too big a threat not to let everyone know, even those that we might butt heads with."

"Hrm? Well, someone might as well get to because I sure can't." He said with a little chuckle. He'd been told that the runes he had were some really interesting looking ones, several colors and they were able to glow. All lost on Makani but others might as well get to enjoy the design of them. He just enjoyed them for the fact that they channeled his magic so well. Holding out a hand to call all the runes back to him he then held them out to Lilif.

"Just no trying to cast any spells through them. They are a fairly advanced weapon and you're powers feel too new. I would hate for a spell to go awry and cause a big mess for our hosts." Best that he gave her a little warning, just in case she was planning anything that might not end well.

"I would rather our respective families aren't hurt either. I hope that we are able to get back to them very soon." Makani wasn't normally one to worry so much, instead the sort that liked to make light of things, even serious things, but the Dretch wasn't such a thing. He wanted to get back home, to warn his sister and the others at the inn, to see to it that they were all kept safe... so to speak. Lifting a hand to set to fiddling with the decorative cloth he had wrapped around his waist. He'd already lost someone important to him to a war, he didn't want that to happen again, he wanted to protect others.

Giving a smile he said, "Thank you. I don't mind helping you with your spellcasting when we are back at the inn and once things are confirmed to be safe. For now though it's best that we save our magic just in case it's needed." It was worst case scenario that he hoped they didn't have to deal with.

"Where? Hmmm..." He thought on it a moment and said, "From a merchant in Dernd if I recall right, he sold what he said were 'specialized' magical items... but I can't say for sure. I will have to take your word on it that they are amazing. I do know that they are quite useful though, especially when it comes to purifying water and healing those that need it."
