BURNING ACES WINGM'aze of Bronze Zeath HP: 37 Status Effect: N/A XP: Target Accuracy: 9 Flame Length: 6 General Stamina: 6 General Agility: 6 Between Accuracy: 7 Pain Resilience: 7 Instinct: 6 Luck: 6
The call had come, as everyone had expected it to. It had been different a few Turns ago when Thread had fallen for the first time in ages. Everyone had been scrambling around, terrified, unsure, but somehow they had pulled through. Now it was the second pass of the silver thread and they were as ready as they had been in times gone by.
Zeath gave himself a little shake, testing the tightness of the harness that his rider had just done up. M'aze gave one shimmering shoulder a fond pat and one of the leather straps a tug, making sure all sat well. They had been doing this far longer than Thread had been falling, going through the motions of training and practicing, and the past two years had surely proven that it hadn't been for naught. It was time again to take to the skies to protect their home and those around them and, as usual, the pair was ready to work.
"What do you think?" M'aze asked as the instructional and motivational speech wrapped up. "Everything ready to fly?"
Yes, nice and tight. Nothing will shake loose, I'm sure, Zeath replied. As lazy as he seemed, Zeath was more than ready to answer the call to take to the air and defend their little section of Pern. It would take a lot of work from a lot of people and dragons both in the air and on the ground, but they had done it before and would see to it that it was done again.
"Wonderful. Won't be much longer now," M'aze said, running his fingers fondly over Zeath's hide as they waited for the call to mount and rise. Their wing would be in the lower altitude to being which suited them just fine.

TORNADO WINGThella of Brown Lireloth HP: 38 Status Effect: N/A XP: Target Accuracy: 6 Flame Length: 6 General Stamina: 10 General Agility: 6 Between Accuracy: 6 Pain Resilience: 6 Instinct: 7 Luck: 6
Thella was just about done strapping everything down onto Lireloth who stood shifting his weight from side to side, eager to get to work. He had recently succeeded in catching a spry little green during her first flight and he was still riding the high from that, even if it had been over a week prior. He was a vain dragon to be sure and any sort of compliment to his appearance, skill, or prowess took ages to leave him.
"Stop strutting about, you big oaf," Thella said as she gave his backside a little slap. "You'll lose yourself out there and if you go down, so do I."
The large brown heaved a sigh as he glanced backwards towards the rider, his eyes whirling between a few colors indicating his excitement.
Thella, dearest, you know I keep my wits about me during Threadfall. We haven't had anything bad happen yet, mm?
"Yeah, and I don't want that to start today," she said as she made her way forward, hands reaching up to hold the massive head between them. She pressed a kiss to Lireloth's tan nose as she did before every flight, training or otherwise, and reached up to scratch his cheek fondly.
"Come on then. Time to listen up." They were both free spirits, but even they knew that at times like this it was vital that they listened to their Wingmasters and did as they were told. Mostly. Glancing to her left, she gave G'lin and Neiveth a little grin and a wave.
"Doing all right?" she asked, noticing the rider was re-doing his straps again for what seemed like at least the third or fourth time. Sometimes dragons were particular about how they sat on their bodies. Lireloth could get like that during practice, but during a real Threadfall he'd never complained.

HURRICANE WING A'dras of Bronze Gareth HP: 45 Status Effect: If applicable. XP: (Base Stat: +6 Pts to everything; +5 to Distribute) Target Accuracy: 7 Flame Length: 6 General Stamina: 7 General Agility: 6 Between Accuracy: 7 Pain Resilience: 7 Instinct: 7 Luck: 6
There was no scrambling as the call to arms came, especially not for this pair. A'dras stood beside his large bronze as they listened to D'mon. He was for sure going to make sure that his riders were taken care of. He wasn't afraid of sending one of his wingriders back to the weyr or down to the Queen's Wing if they needed it.
Gareth, for his part, had his whirling eyes watching the sky, calculating many different things. We will need to be careful this Threadfall, A'drasmine. The man chuckled softly at his dragons thoughts, getting a reproachful look from the bronze. "Oh, don't give me that look Gareth. I only chuckled because you are just repeating exactly what D'mon is saying. If you were just listening to him."
A'dras turned to check over the straps for the harness. "Everything feels alright?" Yes. Of course A'drasmine. The bronze rumbled, pressing confidence to his bonded as he did so. Another hearty chuckle escaped A'dras, feeling the confidence and proud about what they were going into. He knew his wingriders could do this, he had great wingseconds. The Hurricane Wing were more then prepared.

TORNADO WING Al'ndru of Bronze Alucarth HP: 35 Status Effect: If applicable. XP: (Base Stat: +6 to everything; +5 to distribute) Target Accuracy: 7 Flame Length: 7 General Stamina: 6 General Agility: 6 Between Accuracy: 7 Pain Resilience: 7 Instinct: 6 Luck: 7
Hiding a yawn behind his right hand, Al'ndru leaned against Alucarth while listening to D'mon speak about this up and coming Threadfall. The man was listening, at least half way listening to what he was saying. It was all the same really, 'be careful up there, watch out for those of your wing, go back to the weyr if needed.', D'mon gave the same speech just about any time, at least to Al'ndru's ears and even though he was a wingsecond, the man just seemed bored.
An angry growl came from Alucarth as he bumped his rider making the man fall forward and stumble, almost hitting the rider on the other side of him. Al'ndru cursed under his breath, turning to look at the bronze dragon, who seemed very pleased with himself. We have a duty to work on, as well as a reputation to keep Al'ndrumine, do please pay attention.
The disdainful look that Al'ndru gave Alucarth was tired as well, showing how much he was use to dealing with his dragon's behavior and how much, at times, he was just done with it. "We aren't up in the sky yet Alucarth, and D'mon just goes on and on about some things." He went to run a hand through his hair before pausing and thinking better of it. That may be, but we are wingseconds now mine, do hold yourself to a higher standard. The man rolled his eyes at the comment before shrugging his shoulders and going back to leaning against his dragon.

Hurricane Wing J'in of Brown Irath HP:31
Status Effect: If applicable. XP:(+6 xp to all), +5 to distribute Target Accuracy: 6 Flame Length: 6 General Stamina: 6+4=10 General Agility: 6 Between Accuracy:6+1 =7 Pain Resilience: 6 Instinct: 6 Luck:6
J'in ran his fingers over Irath tack, making sure no strap pinched the brown's hide. Nothing was loose, nothing chaffed, and nothing was worn down and needing replaced. Triple checking out of nervouness. Irath was a warm relaxed thrum in his mind, and he absently brushed one of the firelizards clinging to the leathers. "Shoo."
Chai had claimed Irath head as her perch, over looking the small fair with whirling eyes. Quill joined the rest of her green sisters on Irath back, small chitters coming from them.
'Irath?'
Irath stretched, warming up and setting the flits blinking away back to their weyr. He thrummed, nudging J'in with his head, and shutting his eyes as his head knobs were scratched.

BURNING ACES WING Tyra of Blue Orodreth HP: 31 Status Effect: If applicable. XP: (Base Stat: +4 to Everything; +5 to distribute) Target Accuracy: 5 Flame Length: 5 General Stamina: 5 General Agility: 5 Between Accuracy: 4 Pain Resilience: 4 Instinct: 4 Luck: 5
Tyra and Blue Orodreth will be flying in the Second wave
This is what he was made to do, Orodreth fidgeted some on his feet, his tail flicking lightly back and forth as his eyes whirled up at the skies. Tyra was looking over the straps and his constant fidgeting had her lightly hit his side. "Calm down Orodreth, we will be up there fighting soon." The blue let a soft whine out at being lightly hit by his rider and turned a 'hurt' eye to her. Tyra wasn't phased and Orodreth quickly gave it up. Yes, I know but, I hate having to wait. Flying in the second string was not Orodreth's favorite, but it was what they had been tasked with this time around. All Tyra did was shake her head and go back to busying herself with looking over the straps for the moment. They had a while before they would be up in the air.
The blue, meanwhile turned his attention to look around the others of their wing, finding a larger blue and letting out a call to him. Krahsujunth, are you and yours going up with our wing? Are you flying the First wave or second? Tyra had already told the blue those from their wing they would be replacing and those that would be joining them, but it seemed he hadn't listened, or he just wanted an excuse to talk to the larger blue, who had seemed to mellowed a bit out more recently. Orodreth was certainly happy the blue's golden love had reciprocated his feelings.
