(Don't see a reason why not.)
As the magical wings spread and bore the youth upward, a sense of dread filled Dramat. With a protective enchantment like that, the boy had to be under the protection of the single human mage of Nortonville and the only mortal that the creatures of night feared and perhaps respected.

Dramat growled defensively. His hackles rose slightly, and a rumble began in his chest. He stepped in front of Kaibon protectively. no one would take her from him.

Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I've been lazy lately. I'll post the next chapter soon though. Hopefully it will be better than the 1st.
onto the story...
The boy glared a them angrily. He swept down at them. Dramat dodged it, but just barely. The boy began to glow and a dagger formed in his hands. He looked ready to kill.

"Kraven!" A sharp yell broke through the dark forest and out of the shadows appeared a tall cloaked man. He stood behind the boy. "Leave them be," he said in a deep voice. "I don't believe they'll be causing any more trouble tonight." It was less of an assumption and more of a command. Dramat knew this and backed away from the cloaked figure, teeth bared in fear.

The boy sighed and stepped back, with that the two of them disappeared. Dramat glanced at his wife and thye ran off to tell the others about what had just happened. They hoped a battle wouldn't occur thanks to this.

"Kraven, my boy, what have I told you about the forest dwellers?" Silus asked in a patient voice.
"They may be mean and ugly, but they won't start a fight unless you start a fight." The young boy replied sullenly.
"And what is wandering into the forest at night doing?"
"Starting a fight," sighed Kraven in reply, knowing his curiousity about the lycanthropes and other forest dwellers would probably never be appeased if his grandfather had his way.
