Hexxis was about to answer the question when Ame blurted out about how she had heard everything, her body language shrinking slightly as she stared downward. //...why did you tell him that...//
Her frown deepened and shook her head. "Yes, the me of now. Its not the same as before. But I still feel trepidation for what things should be.... And they are not." She was still struggling with explaining. "...he is gone. I feel maybe I am at fault why you will not seek him out.' she sighed. "He belongs here....more than I do..."

Tri sighed softly and relaxed, laying down so his cheek was on the bed and he was looking at her from that position. Silently he reached out to brush her hair and sighed 'No... it is much more complicated then that. I don't know where he is...if I did I would take you with me or leave you somewhere safe...which unfortunately is not here. " he explained.
"At the same time..he is in danger is he stays here. The way he is now is useless for them unless used for experimentation and the way he was before was dangerous.." he trailed off looking past her. "I took you both because I did not want to lose either of you after they threaten to part us. It was a bad call on my part.... one that hurt you both" he said quietly, pain on his face as he lowered his guard a little. " I care for both of you.... it is not your fault how things have played" //just mine. //

//I thought it was clear that I did not mean physical. I can identify most physical ailments. This... I cannot identify it. It hurts.. a hot aching like my body is a much higher temperature than it really is. And the thought of Ree being gone is causing it.//
Hexxis sighed, not eased by his words. "Do you want to find him? We could look for him. If we can retrieve him before SIU can recover him... then he can be placed in a safe place." she frowned. I don't want to be alone. "I will stay with you, wherever you go." she added softly.
"Then fix him. Dr. Kae spoke of miracles... a highly improbable or extraordinary event, development, or accomplishment that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency and results in very welcome consequences....... Can this phenomenon be used to fix him?" Her mind seemed very set on finding and helping Ree. She shook her head, "I am not hurt. I am made to be durable. I was a super soldier project and still carry attributes to complete tasks within that field of work." she assured. There was a moment of silence at his last statement. She frowned and looked down again. She still felt it was her fault even if she couldn't entirely justify it mentally with rational thought.

Tri looked tired as she spoke, lower his hand as he watched her with a flicker of sadness. " You can't follow me, you are still recovering. Not just from what happened but starvation and your metal heart makes you vulnerable if it malfunctions, more tests are needed and resting "he sighs softly. "I have no idea where Silence would take him but I am not desperate to settled or waste my time on improbable things when I don't even know where he is. It isn't as if it is something new" he said quietly.
Ame mentally frowned.

His words only ended up hurting her even if they were meant reaffirm why they shouldn't leave. //...why do I feel worse in my incapability to help my brother when I feel I am the one responsible for his state... The more he speaks to say there is no chance, the more I feel I have to keep moving. I... I want to go... can't I just become stronger and go get him?// She felt...useless.
"But if I go... I can ask they tell us where ree is... And you can ask them to fix him. We are two entities, are we not?" she paused, improbable things, it was obvious that statement hurt more deeply then it should have. "You waste your time on me...when my very existence is improbable... Is that really any different? You know little about his circumstances... and you know little about mine even if I am right in front of you." she spoke softly before sighing, and laying her head down in deep thought.

Tri frowned "...That is not the same, you likely have a possible answer when it is known or even some meta's ability which to some could be seen as miraculous " he just shook his head. "In a way it is ...but I rather not get myself into any more debt if possible and going from that letter things will turn for the worse. It is safer to search on my own and the ties I know while you get stronger in a safe place"

Hexxis sighed softly. She hated this. It felt like being stuck and nothing would move at all. //I don't feel like he is..// she muttered, just laying there. Hexxis simply nodded in compliance if she didn't understand or want to understand what he said. The answer was no. It didn't matter anymore.
A safe place...
"...which isn't here..." she responded softly, closed her eyes and seemed to just go to sleep. She didn't want to discuss it anymore. Maybe she was mad, but at this point it was hard to tell with her.

Ame just sighed softly as Hexxis turned away, getting the feeling she didn't want to talk about this more. It angered him to but there wasn't much he could do either other than to have faith that Ashral or Silence did not mean him harm.
Tri frowned as she closed her eyes and just stopped talking about it. He might have been wrong on a few things but keeping her in a safe was high on that list.... yet safe place. No this wasn't a safe place for her.. but Mara was here and therefore he wanted to stay. Balancing the their need with his own...
With a sigh he tighten the shield and placed his wing over here, thinking over what was said and hoping he didn't wake up to see her gone again. It was hard not to think of the parallels between now and the Renegade attack. Closing his eyes he tried to doze even if it was fitfully.

It was hours before Tri would notice a lacking in the bed with him. And not just a difference in weight like she was awake, by the time he could wake, she was gone. A peculiar happenstance as the shield was left undisturbed and it just seemed like he might have been alone the whole time. The letter he was given had moved to now lay in the other empty bed in the room. Everything, otherwise, seemed perfectly fine.

When Tri woke it was in the in between state of blissful sleep and forgetting. It only lasted for a few seconds as everything that happened surge to the forefront and he took a tired breath. Moving his shoulder carefully he checked for any stiffness before looking down for Hexxis. She wasn't there...
Fear surge through him as he glanced at the next bed and didn't see her there but his shield was perfectly in tack..she couldn't have gotten out without waking him. His eyes landed on the and narrowed.
Slowly he got up and dropped his shield, looking around once more before dressing. Grabbing the letter he left the room looking for Kae.

Kae was honestly not far away, only two room down and in the hallway even, talking with Melody before even she left. It seemed they had been talking about Alice when Melody left to do something. Kae ran a hand through her hair and sighed, turning and jolting at the sudden appearance of Tri in the hallway. "...Tri, what are you doing? You should be in bed..." she spoke tiredly. She glanced down at the letter in his hand and frowned. "Second thoughts?"

"No. I am going to Sanctuary" he said harshly, having found their address last night quite easily with the name. "Hexxis is missing unless you somehow took her out of my shield. " he glared a her, not really expecting it but there was Zira...even so he would have felt her manipulations of shadows so close to him. His range wasn't as vast as it used to be.. not when he been running around so much.
"Then snuck in and dropped the letter right back onto the bed" he said wings bristling slightly.

Kae stared at him for more than a few moments then frowned. "Tri.... The elders aren't in the business of taking your kid. She probably wandered off somewhere like she usually does." she sighed, exhausted with everything. How did Mara do all this, anyway? "Honestly, save you a trip, I have Nova's number.... I can give her and call and she can confirm whether Hexxis is there or not." she offered sincerely. She was concerned as well, but running off to sanctuary without thinking it through first would be ridiculous especially if Hexxis turned up and Tri was gone. She went ahead and radioed security anyway. "Hey, so the little purple one is MIA, if you see Hexxis around, please let me know so we can get her back to where she needs to be. Thanks."

Tri's glare was burning silver as he said nothing as Kae made her own assumptions and radio it in. "She was under my shield and you took the letter with you when you left" he said quietly under control. "She disappears and it reappears....without Breaking.My.Shield" he said slowly. "No. I am going for a face to face meeting" he lifted the letter. "You said nothing will happen, you said they are only giving a chance. This looks more like blackmail to me" he said lowering his head and moving toward Mara's room to grab his pack and leave.

Kae frowned, looked even more concerned. "Tri... I gave you back the letter then left. Shoot, anyone could have looked at it and moved it, even her." she sighed. "I'm disappointed that you would think I'd lie to you....but I understand your concern... I wish you luck and please stay in touch. I'll do some sleuthing of my own and let you know if I find anything..." she offered before watching him walk off. Yeaaaaah, she was going to call Nova. If this really was them, she had quite a few choice words to have with them.
