Joy jumped in to help because there were so many reasons for her to do so. Mostly it was because she was secretly hoping to spot some aquatic creatures from home, but when it was just the giant squid, "You're not wanted here, Tiya Pusit," she declared, summoning her weapon and slicing down.
She immediately stepped back, giving the others a shot at the creature. But the mere fact that it was a squid and that they were at the beach, well, if the situation had just been better, it would make more sense why Joy suddenly wished they had charcoals and grills and longed for a seaside barbecue. Pucha, why did the oven have to be broken? she groaned to herself.

Wherever they sliced, any appendages would just dissolve and immediately reform into more. It seemed endless.
A shape, like water moving almost too fast, skirted underneath Bix-
- And then he was hovering in mid-air, with a flailing tentacle wrapped around his ankle, upside down, water dripping all directions. It was nearly impossible to hit the assailant without hitting him.
It began to rain heavily now, pouring, visibility even lower and rain drenching all arrivals. Something else, an army of something elses, all dark shapes, were crawling into the shoreline towards them, attracted by humans and life. They looked like tiny crustaceans, mutated shadows with one overly large pincer and one smaller one.
Like everything else, they were not friendly.

gaia_crown [ ADVANCED BOSS MECHANICS ]:
- All players take 11 damage FOR THEIR FIRST POST! The next move they take (Attack, defense, heal), double the damage taken, so 22 damage. The next after that is 44 damage, the turn after that 88.
- Small crabs have spawned! If your character misses, they must be freed by another player quoting them as they are now tethered down by frogs.
- Rain has low visibility! Characters cannot break more than 30 damage in a single attack!
- Please look at the division breakdown below, and their special abilities.
gaia_star MOON HUNTERS:
DEFENSIVE STANCE: Quote (one player for Y1/ 2 for Y2/ 3 for Y3) players in any turn/time/order. Those three players cannot take auto damage their next turn. You can only do this once. If you post all three defenses in the same post, it counts as one turn, if they are in different posts, they are 2 or 3 turns depending how many posts you take.
RUNIC MASTERY: All DEFENSIVE runic weapons have triple the effectiveness. Do not take auto damage using runics.
FEAR MASTERY: All DEFENSIVE Fear attacks heal them for the damage done.
gaia_star SUN HUNTER:
OFFENSIVE STANCE: Get rid of the dice modifier for all your rolls
RUNIC MASTERY: All OFFENSIVE runic weapons have triple the effectiveness. Do not take auto damage using runics.
FEAR MASTERY: All OFFENSIVE Fear attacks heal them for the damage done.
gaia_star DEATH HUNTER:
EVASIVE STANCE: Avoid taking auto damage every second turn you take. Ie turn 2, turn 4.
SCAN: If you miss any dice mechanic, reroll again. Do not take auto damage for your rerolls.
ARTIFACT MASTERY: All artifacts may be used a second time instead of once per battle. Do not take auto damage using artifacts.
gaia_star LIFE HUNTER:
HEALING STANCE: Pick (1 for Y1, 2 for Y2, 3 for Y3) characters. Heal them to full health at any point in time. You can only do this once. If you post all three heals in the same post, it counts as one turn, if they are in different posts, they are 2 or 3 turns depending how many posts you take.
RUNIC MASTERY: All healing runic weapons do damage on top of healing. Do not take auto damage using runics.
FEAR MASTERY: A healing Fear attacks do double the healing effectiveness on the target.
gaia_star MIST HUNTER:
PICK 1 MASTERY and ONE STANCE. Use them!
iloveyouDie Bix can still attack but he is also in the loving embrace of squid tentacle! Players must do 100 HP damage to free him, but any damage they do also hurts him.

Better late than never. Peyton hadn't seen the text initially, but once she had she'd dropped everything to make her way out to the lighthouse with only very hasty shout to Andy as she sprinted out of the dorms. She had Warrick summoned as she arrived, eyes widening as she took in the thing that was standing between them their means of getting the ******** off the island every once in a while.
"What the ******** now?" It was just one thing right after another.
She headed over to Finn, nudging the tall Moon with her elbow as she fell into place beside him. "Do we know why this is happening?" Not that that strictly mattered, but still.
Actually, Zeke wasn't as pissed as Ever thought he might be. Not happy, certainly, but not pissed. If that thing managed to get past the hunters that were fighting it, if it destroyed the lighthouse, or the dorms, or headquarters there was going to be an even bigger mess for them to deal with, and frankly, Zeke didn't have the ******** energy for it.
It was better to deal with it now.
The real question being, how?
He had Lagertha summoned an resting over a shoulder as joined the rest of them. "Can't catch a ******** break." He sounded incredibly annoyed by that.
Gretchen had also turned up, ready to lend a hand however humanly possible. Be it attacking, defending, or providing a heal(if her weapon felt like cooperating...)
