Basic Solo #1 & 2: 1047 words

The punching bag swayed back a bit as it was hit repeatedly, over and over again, all while making noises telling those around it that it was currently being attacked. Good. Was what it’s attacker thought as the bag continued to sway and take the blows that it was receiving from the attacker’s fists. And all it could do was take it, unable to do any defensive attacks… which was part of the problem.

Stacey sighed as she took a step back from the bag after she had done her set of punches. As much as she just wanted to pound the darn thing in, she knew she would be unable to do so. Partially because she really couldn’t and if she could, then she would have had to pay for the damage to gym property. Even though they liked having her there, she still couldn’t go around and break the equipment, after all, she just rented some time and space here. It wasn’t a mega-gym or any of those one tends to sign up for in winter and then never uses all while paying an incredibly large fee, it was a nice small one owned by a good couple who allowed her to practice here as long as she paid their entrance fee. Which she used quite a bit considering her apartment was less than a block from the place.

Lately however she had been increasing her working out activity, not only in teaching classes, but taking self-defense and solo training. She would have never expected it, but she now had… at least some sort of purpose other than giving people some self-confidence. She had never imagined that she would become a part of all of that ‘terrorism’ stuff that the TV and news spouted all of the time. After all, she hardly believed they, the White Moon senshi, were terrorists anyway. They seemed to always come after the fact and didn’t seem to be trying to damage anything.

But it had been so much more complicated than that. Or at least, it seemed to be considering that there wasn’t just ONE faction of senshi. She herself had been lured in, pretty easily it seemed though she had a sense with Remarque that somehow he was just trying to lead her to where she needed to go… But, as a Dark Mirror senshi, she had some… well she wasn’t sure what type of goals. It seemed that they had the same ideas as White Moon but were trying to ensure the same thing in two different ways. The White Moon by saving the planet and the Dark Mirror by… well, she wasn’t too sure. All she knew was that they weren’t exactly going and killing the Negaverse. Speaking, or thinking, of which, there were the senshi that were in the Negaverse, Corrupted senshi she had been told, and it was nothing that she wanted to be a part of it seemed. The Negaverse was too crazy. Although the Dark Mirror had chaos within them and used its powers, the Negaverse literally got energy from killing people and wanted all life in the universe extinguished.

She sighed, thinking of possibly calling it a night when she heard the bell dinging and looked at the clock. He’s here… She thought as she, instead of packing up, decided to start hitting the punching bag again and acting as if she was busy. The man that she had been seeing come in regularly for the past half a year had come once again, and he had somehow managed to catch her eye. Mostly because she had been surprised at what he had come in the first time she had seen him, but apparently it was just something he always wore.

The man in the black cowboy hat had gone into the locker room and Stacey was eagerly waiting for him to come out. Apparently, he had recently joined the gym to learn some self-defense techniques. His brother had joined too, however they were on different schedules and so they couldn’t do any classes together, as much as they wanted too. The man, Tom as she had learned, had signed up for classes under her, which she had been very wary of when they first started. He was essentially a ‘level 0’ in terms of fighting ability, and it had taken quite a few fights and way too many practices for him to get on any sort of beginner level to be competent at any of it. At least he was in shape so the practices could go on for longer than she would usually have them. She eventually learned he was a soccer player on the Destiny City University team and was going there to be a doctor. Well, certainly more than she was up for, but she had been happy with her life so far, nothing to complain about other than the want of more money. But she was more comfortable than she ever had been living with her family.

Eventually though the man had gotten the hang of it, even though he was still a beginner, and they had started a good routine. However, there had been a point during the summer that he had to cancel classes with her, and she found herself worrying about him while he was not going to their classes. She didn’t really understand why she felt that way, until he had called out of the blue and had asked if he could take classes again under her at the same time as usual. After that she had found herself a little less able to concentrate on what they were doing while he was around, and had realized that she had formed, at least a little, bit of a crush on him. She had never done that before, mostly because she had wanted to stay solo for the rest of her life, and porn usually fulfilled her needs, but he was quite cute and smart and respectful of women, that it had been hard not to.

He had finally come out of the locker room, only wearing the usual gym clothes and sans hat, and before he could say one word to her, she blurted out, “would you like to get dinner sometime?”

Basic Solo #3 & #4: 1075 words

Stacey bit her lip a bit as she stared at her glass of water, periodically letting her eyes move back to the man in front of her. Tom had agreed to go on the date with her, though it had been a bit hard because of his school schedule. Apparently when one was an undergrad in medicine they still had a very busy schedule and lots of studying to do, and he hadn’t wanted to interrupt their classes to go on the date either… something she admired but was at the same time frustrated at. But he had seemed to consider the lessons very important, so she had easily given in.

But she was bothered a bit more by something else. He just seemed way to casual during this date! She knew that she was the one to initiate it, but he acted as if this was something he did every night! Though she knew that not to be the case considering his schedule and when she had joked about him getting laid every night, he had told her that it had only happened a couple of times in high school and since then he had turned every girl that had asked him out down. She had asked if he was gay, and he smiled at her, telling her that he was straight, but perhaps a bit more on the asexual side when it came to sex. After all, he barely watched or read any porn, and didn’t feel like he was missing anything.

It had made her question whether or not she had wanted to ask him out for a bit, but he had said that while he didn’t crave it, he didn’t mind it either. He would just be less likely to initiate it. Now, one could have called this a bit of sexual harassment, but she had been the one to ask after all and she had been wondering about his sexual history, so it was all information she had wanted to know. She had told him that while she had a bit more of a healthy appetite for it, she really didn’t trust men that much, and like him, had only done it a few times, but otherwise tended to take care of herself.

That had been a while ago, before she had asked him out. And finally, after two weeks of trying to schedule, they had managed to find a good day and time to go out on their date. A local pizza place had been what they agreed on, and they went on one of the quieter nights. While they could have gone on a weekend, neither of them wanted to go when it was too crowded and they may have had to wait for a table.

But at least they had both agreed that pizza was good just about any day of the week! And so finally they had gone, and were looking at the menus. Well, at least Tom was looking, Stacey was trying not to stare at him too much. Eventually though he lifted his eyes from the menu and noticed her suddenly move her eyes back to her own list of available foods. He tried to keep himself from grinning.

On Tom’s side, he hadn’t really thought of dating that much. He had gone out with a couple of friends in high school, and had gotten serious with them a couple of times, but both they had amicably stopped dating once they realized that neither of them really liked each other. And they were able to stay friends since they didn’t have those feelings for each other, and the girls he had gone out with eventually started dating within their circle again, getting much more serious, with Tom cheering them along the way.

He hadn’t really thought about dating Stacey at all, but he liked her. She was a no-nonsense girl who seemed like she could and would beat up any guy who tried to harass her. And while she could have been considered scary to anyone who was dating her, she seemed to match his personality a bit more, in that when needing to hold back on going at someone, sarcasm came out instead. And while she had perhaps gotten a bit frustrated at his clear inability to fight, give him a break he hadn’t once thrown a punch in his entire life until he was taken in by the Negaverse! She had never emotionally, psychologically, or physically abused him. She mostly just grit her teeth and continued on with the lessons, repeating herself if need be.

It had been rough at first, but he figured any trainer would be like that when their trainee seemed to make no improvement whatsoever. He couldn’t exactly train at school, and being a beginner he hadn’t tried it out in the field fighting senshi or knights in case he threw his hand out wrong and he came out permanently disabled in some way.

So, he had been quite surprised when she had asked him out suddenly. He hadn’t gone out in a while and Stacey didn’t seem like a bad woman, so he had said yes before they had continued on with their lessons, surprised that it seemed to brighten her up so much. It had been a bit frustrating trying to schedule the date considering that he was so busy with class, and what with taking starseeds out of people, that it had taken longer than she wanted to be able to finally get together. After tonight though, if it went well, Tom would ask her if she wanted to just go to his apartment instead, where he would be much more often, so that they didn’t have to do all of these crazy scheduling puzzles.

He looked over at her again and once again she seemed to duck away from his eyes, acting as though she had been looking at the menu the whole time, when he knew that wasn’t true. Eventually though, the waiter came over and asked what they had wanted. Both of them looked at each other and then said to the waitress, “half extra cheese, half supreme, but with hamburger instead of sausage.” The waitress giggled a bit and asked if that would be all. When they said yes, she went away, and the two looked at each other, blushing a bit. Seems they had more in common than they thought.

Basic Solo #5 & #6: 1026 words

Stacey grumbled to herself as she pulled her hoodie closer to her body. It was now November and it was even colder than it was in October. Not fun. Sure, there were some warm days here and there, but that had been few and far between. Why was it she had come to Destiny City and not somewhere warmer like the desert in Arizona? Hot, dry air? Yes please!

Instead though all she could do was grumble and hold her hoodie closer to herself. I really need to get some long sleeves. She thought as she hurried home to her apartment. She had just returned from Mirrorspace over the holiday weekend that she had decided to take off. If any of her clients had complained, well, they would just have to get over it.

She wasn’t too sure if she was being original with her… “space” but she had decided to model it after her own gym on Earth, but with more things and less TVs. If someone wanted entertainment, well unfortunately they weren’t getting it. She hadn’t wanted to play with trying to get satellite signals into the mirrospace, that was a bit above her head.

Unfortunately for her though, since she was a basic senshi, she didn’t get to access it whenever she wanted. It would have been so nice to have her own private training space besides her apartment. At least in the latter she had to close the windows, but was a bit paranoid that the lighting in there cast her shadow too much. Too many perverts and rapists that creeped her out to where she wouldn’t exercise in her apartment. Though she knew she could defeat them if she just powered up, but she still wasn’t sure about her reaction to something in a situation where she felt her life was in danger.

Sure, her life had been in danger when they had been battling that queen, but at that point she was already powered up and couldn’t power down if she wanted to. But in a different situation, one where she was powered down first?

The thought of it had caused her to go back to the gym even more than she had been and train even more.

Her thoughts suddenly shifted though, to ones where she felt guiltier. The guy she had been dating, Tom, had suggested they go get some food for Thanksgiving and eat it together, since neither of them had family in the area. Well, he did, and he had invited his little brother over, which is why she had been able to decline in the first place. She just told him she didn’t feel comfortable intruding just yet, and she knew that he hadn’t told, Jason, was it? That they were dating, so part of it was true, she felt like she would be intruding and barging in on their meal. Perhaps she would feel more comfortable once Tom had formally introduced the two of them. Though she had said she appreciated the offer, giving him a kiss on the cheek for it.

She still wasn’t too sure about Tom, or at least they hadn’t become ‘serious’ yet. Part of it was her nervousness, the both of them being busy, and Tom seemingly being asexual. Though she was sure he would join her if she had initiated it, but apparently the both of them were wanting to take it slowly.

She appreciated that. Even though Tom seemed busy, what with his undergraduate medical degree graduation coming up and going straight into graduate school, they had both seemed to click. Though she didn’t mind him being busy, she at least trusted him. She had laughed out loud when he had told her that he didn’t like large breasts on women, and after she had quit for a bit he smiled and explained to her that even though he wasn’t practicing medicine yet, it was amazing how awful their backs were.

It made her feel even better about hers, even if she was already happy to have them small. It was unfortunate, but it seemed that those with larger breasts seemed to be harassed more, on top of the medical problems they could create.

As if they could actually control the size of their breasts naturally. It was sick how so many guys did that. Tom had agreed with her though when she started to rant about it. He was a feminist it seemed, and didn’t feel the need to change it to something more gender-neutral so that his masculinity wouldn’t feel threatened just because it had the word ‘feminine’ in the word.

It was pretty sad that so many other men felt differently, she sometimes wondered why even went out with them. Even if she didn’t have the greatest self-esteem, she didn’t feel as though she HAD to be with someone.

So, while they had been taking it slowly, Stacey had felt quite a connection and they had at least made-out a few times. And she wasn’t feeling jealousy because of how little he looked at other women. Or at least if he did, he wasn’t attracted because he couldn’t get over the biology of why certain thing were the way they were, and she had heard enough from him to know that he definitely wasn’t even thinking of other women.

She felt slightly bad for him, he was cute, and he seemed to be missing out. Though he seemed to be okay with it, it’s not as if sex was needed for anyone to live, no matter how desperate they seemed. They could just use their hand. She thought.

Her thoughts were interrupted though when she realized that her apartment door was right in front of her, and she had almost run into it. And she had gone up three flights of stairs without even realizing! One of the great things about being in shape at least, one wasn’t panting by the time they got to the top.

She quickly got her key out and opened the door, kicking her shoes off and flopping on the couch, getting her phone out to call her ‘boyfriend’.

Basic Solo #7 & #8: 1059 words

“Hey babe, what you doing out tonight?” Stacey rolled her eyes at the question. It was yet another guy catcalling her on the street. Unfortunately, as much as she would have liked to avoid it, less revealing clothing didn’t stop it from happening, and she had to go this way to get to her apartment. Well, she didn’t have to, but she liked to change up her routine a bit, just in case anyone was following her.

She decided not to dignify the question with a response. She knew he wasn’t interested in her, he only did it to make her feel uncomfortable because it was some sick power play on his part. There was no way for him to ‘lose’ and no way for her to ‘win’ unless she somehow suddenly turned invisible and pulled his pants down, making him exposed so that the cops would be called on him.

But that just wasn’t possible, as much as she wished for it every day. Instead of a senshi with powerful punches, temporary invisibility would have been better, at least for situations like this.

She couldn’t speed up either though, she had to maintain the same pace, act as though she hadn’t even heard him. That was the only way to make the situation ‘neutral’. He would either be confused that he hadn’t gotten a rise out of her, or angry that she was ignoring him. She would still never win though. If she would respond he would call her a demeaning word, if she ignored him he would think that he had really gotten under her skin and she would think about him longer than she should. But to make it seem as though she just hadn’t heard? Then the stupid male couldn’t be sure if what he had done had actually worked.

She tried to keep the smile down as she got farther and farther away from him, glad that her plan had wor-suddenly her arm was grabbed, and she had to wheel around to face whomever had grabbed her, hopefully so she could punch their face.

It was the same man, a smirk on his face now, knowing he had her and was scaring her. Or at least that’s what he probably thought. Stacey kept a bored look on her face. “I don’t appreciate people grabbing my arm suddenly. And you’re lucky that I didn’t automatically reflex by punching you in the face.” Specifically, the nose. It would have been nice to break it.

For a second the smirk slipped from the man’s face into a look of anger. Stacey knew at this point that she would have to use self-defense now. As much as she would have liked to go the easier route of just ‘submitting’ to this “superior” male, she refused to do it. It had gotten her into quite a few fights, but she usually was able to take out the mace or knife that she continually carried in her bag with her and strike her attacker with them, and made sure to beat them into unconsciousness, or stab them a few times, only calling 911 to report that she had been attacked.

It had been so nice to then see those guys later in court, and usually she had been able to get them into jail or prison for a while. At least it would help all of those other women they would have victimized had they been allowed to stay out on the street. Apparently, some prosecutors here actually believed women. Or perhaps they just liked cases that they could win, and hers were some of the best. It was sad, but because she usually fought back, the jury tended to believe her more than they would have if she had just allowed herself to be attacked. It was sick.

However, soon enough the disgusting smirk was back on the man’s face. “I SAID Hey babe, what you doing out tonight? Pretty b!tchy of you not to have answered me. I believe you owe me an apology.” Before she knew it, Stacey was rolling her eyes. The man was back to angry again, whoops, too late to take it back. “I don’t owe a disgusting guy like you anything.” She replied, yanking her arm back.

His face became red, or at least she thought it did, the lighting here wasn’t very good.

“You f***ing b****!” He said, aiming to punch her in the face. Before he could though, Stacey had powered up and stopped his hand before it hit her face. The man’s face was one of disbelief now, though she wasn’t sure if it was from catching his fist, or from the fact that he realized that she had suddenly changed clothes in front of him, and he hadn’t even seen what happened.

It was her turn to smirk now. “Oh yes, I’m a f***ing b**** just because I wouldn’t play your little power game. Please.” She said, putting pressure on the fist she was still holding. The man cried out in pain. Mithra didn’t care. This man deserved to have his fist destroyed. Maybe he wouldn’t punch other women that way. One could dream at least. However, she was in a hurry, and quickly crushed his fist.

He screamed, something high-pitched and painful. She looked on with a bored look on her face. The guy seemed to be all bark and no bite when it actually came to fighting, or at least he was too cowardly to face people that were on his level or better than him. “Well, guess you know a bit of the pain that we women go through from men like you.” She said, before swiftly kicking him in the head. He fell onto the sidewalk, either unconscious or dead, she didn’t care at this point. Most would assume that he had ODed or gotten into a fight with someone else. And she knew she couldn’t be recognized while she was powered, especially since there were no cameras around here.

Another thing that the women had been asking the city for.

She sighed and decided to use her power to get to her apartment more quickly, just to leave the situation.

Unbeknownst to her though, she had attracted a certain General, and he had seen everything. Quickly he grabbed the unconscious man, and teleported away.

Super Solo #1: 1248 words

Stacey opened her eyes slowly, feeling too relaxed to try to get up. However, the sun shining in her face was telling her otherwise. She sighed and sat up, looking around her surroundings. They were… different? At first she didn't recognize where she was and panicked for just a second, until the warm body next to her shifted a bit, and she looked down to see her boyfriend still sleeping, though his arm was still wrapped around her. The other warm body that was on her legs moved a bit, and she realized that the cat, Bluejeans apparently, had decided that resting on her legs was a great idea.

It started to come back to her. Tom had invited her over to his apartment, now that his brother had gone back to the boarding school. They had dinner, watched a movie, and Tom said that he was going to get ready for bed afterward, and that she could stay in the guest bedroom if she wanted. However, Stacey had decided to instead seduce her boyfriend, catching him as he was changing and then… well it was obvious as to what had happened. But Stacey had been desperate for some sexual contact from him, and she realized that he wasn't going to do anything until she wanted to do something. He had mentioned a bit before that he was asexual, but that didn't mean he wouldn't do it. And so, Stacey had taken the initiative. They had lasted well into the night, though Tom had fallen asleep first, to her disappointment. Apparently, she just had more stamina than he did. But it didn't matter, it was nice to finally make their relationship serious, and she had been a bit worried that he didn't care for her. That was an error on her part as he reciprocated as well as she gave out, but it had exhausted him. She was starting to feel lonely without being with him, but now that she had moved their relationship along a bit, she felt more confident being with him.

He was out so much and they communicated so infrequently, she wondered if they were going to last more than a month. However, it just seemed that he had been preoccupied with things and had been busy with school. She hoped last night had relaxed him a bit as well as it had relaxed her.

She slowly got up, making sure that Bluejeans was now moved to one of his real owners, and the cat quickly settled in on Tom, making the man his new bed for right now, and she went to the bathroom to clean up a bit.

An hour later, Tom finally felt his body stirring awake, and opening his eyes he looked at the alarm clock. He groaned a bit. He had slept in too late for his tastes. He tried to move but realized two things. One, the woman that had made him stay up so late last night, though it was quite enjoyable, was gone, and second, Bluejeans was resting squarely on his bed cover-covered butt and would be hard to move off of him.

He used his arms to push himself off a bit, hoping that the cat would get the hint, but so far there was no movement to be had. The cat was staying. Tom sighed, flopping stomach-first onto the bed again, trying to figure out a way to get the darn cat off of him. It was annoying, but it was a good annoying to have a cat sleeping on him again. He sighed, looking at the bathroom, where there seemed to be noise coming from and blushed a bit. Last night had been, well, good. He had realized that he never had much of a sex drive, or at least the few times he had done it before hadn't been very enjoyable for him, and so he had figured himself to be asexual. He had wondered for a bit if he might be bi or gay, but he never really found himself attracted to the opposite sex. So, last night had been… surprising. He felt himself responding enthusiastically, more so than he had before, but maybe that was because Stacey was so good at it.

He sighed, wondering if they really should have gone that far. He still had guilt being in the Negaverse, though he knew that Stacey or his brother would never recognize him considering the, was it magic? Whatever it was behind disguising himself from civilians and others. Would Stacey hate him for it? He knew his brother would, and that was devastating enough, but his first serious relationship? Would it be worth it? It… it would have to be. He was doing it for the greater good. He was going to save people.

As he was contemplating about things, the door to the bathroom suddenly opened, and Stacey came out, showered and looking quite freshened up. A quick thought went through Tom's head, hoping that she hadn't been in the shower for a very long time. Instead though it looked like she had just gotten herself ready for the morning, sans clothes. She looked at him and smiled, and Tom felt himself blushing. Stacey grinned at him. "You trapped?" She asked, taking a quick look at where Bluejeans was before looking at Tom again.

He gave her a frown. "Yes. Do you know how hard it is to move cats?" He asked, semi-seriously, though he was mostly joking. Bluejeans had turned out to be a wonderful cat and didn't seem to ask for much in life other than cuddles, sleep, and food. So while Tom could have easily moved him, the cat was just too darn adorable. Stacey laughed, and Tom felt himself blushing again. She really looks good when she does that. He thought. He wondered if this was normal. As much as his parents loved each other, his father really didn't show any emotion and he had learned from various sources that they had been together for a while, and that his mother had just decided that she wanted to get pregnant with James's child and get married, and his father just didn't object to any of it. He was sure they liked each other but… it was never really shown, and neither Tom nor Jason had ever really asked their father for advice on this sort of stuff.

Stacey giggled again before going over to Tom and carefully removing the kitty from his backside. The cat protested a bit, but did not fight it, and she moved the kitty to where she had been sleeping. It was still a bit warm, and the cat decided that this was good enough, and immediately fell asleep. Tom sighed before trying to get up himself, which was easier now since he was on the right side of the bed, and got up, sans clothes himself. Stacey looked at him, appreciating the view. He gave her a look and sighed. "I'm going to shower. You can make breakfast in the kitchen with whatever is there if you want. Or we can go somewhere. It's the weekend, I don't have any classes today." He said, before going into the bathroom himself and closing the door.

Stacey couldn't help but smile as she moved towards the kitchen, intent on making something to eat. She was starving! And from the growl that Tom's stomach had made, she assumed that he was hungry too. She got to the kitchen and wondered if her breakfast food was up to snuff for him, though from what he had told her, a bowl of cereal would have been fine as long as it was soggy. She could make something better than that though, like omelets or scrambled eggs. But did either of them want to go through the trouble of cleaning it up afterward?

It was decided, they were going to an IHOP for breakfast.

Super Solo #2-4: 3,090 words

I'm going to get that a**hole now. She thought as Mithra lay in wait for her target to come out. Months ago she had realized that someone from the Negaverse seemed to have been stalking her. And she could tell that they were powerful, so as a basic Dark Mirror senshi she hadn't been willing to confront them and would have run away if need be. However, the agent never seemed to want to attack her for some reason, but they did follow her. It wasn't until after she had drained a person and had left them to wake up in a cold alleyway that the agent would stop following her. She wasn't sure what the reason was, but she suspected it was so that the agent could go and swoop in for some easy energy draining or starseed ripping since she had left them vulnerable. It left a bad taste in her mouth, like she was just collecting victims for this person.

She had to admit that there was a reason that she was draining those targets in the first place, and she didn't really care what happened to them as she did think that they needed to be punished somehow, and at first, she didn't mind the agent taking her victims and doing whatever. They didn't attack her, she didn't go back to look and see who it was, and that was that. Until… the circus façade that she had gone to.

At first, she didn't really think much of the Negaverse, thinking of them more as people who were against the White Moon like she and her fellow senshi were, but after the Circus… seeing that General practically gobble up those starseeds of his unsuspecting victims… she had been angry. How could the Negaverse do that?! Even the Dark Mirror didn't go out of it's way to create horrible atrocities like the Negaverse seemed to do! She just couldn't forgive them for that!

And it seemed that the agent had taken a break a bit before and after it too, which is why she had been able to get away with a bit of energy draining and didn't feel them following her. But last week they had followed her again, and this time she had a plan. She had felt them following her tonight and so she had taken one of the cat-calling a**holes whom she hadn't been able to beat up to the closest park and drained him there… and then acted like she was going away and had powered back into a civilian out of the line of sight from where she felt the agent from. And then she had laid in wait. If there was anything that she had learned, that if she couldn't sense the aura from civilians, then neither could the agents.

She had hidden herself behind a cluster of trees, waiting for the agent to come and do whatever they did to her victim, and soon enough they came from the other side of the park, and lazily went over to the unconscious man that was now sprawled out in the park. Stacey raised an eyebrow, wondering what the heck kind of outfit it was that the agent was wearing… it looked sort of like a plague doctor… weird. But the circus outfit that the general was wearing was weirder, and it's not like she got to choose how her outfit looked either.

However, she resisted the urge to continue to wonder about the outfit and instead kept her focus on the agent. They seemed to be heading toward the body, and that was when she went on the attack! She quickly powered up and shouted "Shrimp Super Punch!" And the agent only had the time to turn their head before she swiftly hit them in the abdomen, making them launch back about 5 feet and landing on the ground, giving an "ugh!" as they landed. It satisfied her, but not enough, and soon enough she had landed on them, and was punching them as hard as she could. The agent, which by now she could tell was a general, was only barely fending off the attacks, or wasn't putting much effort into defending himself, before he summoned his weapon, and soon enough her fist hit the bar of the weapon and she whimpered in pain. "S***!" She said, looking at what was probably going to be a bruised fist for a couple of days. She glared at him. "You b*****d!" She said. "I'm going to **** you up for what you guys did at that Circus!" She said, and right before she sent her fist down again, she heard her name, her civilian name being called out.

"Stacey, stop!"

She paused, mid-punch, utterly shocked that the general knew her civilian name. "But… how…" She couldn't think, her mind was racing. If this general knew what her civilian name was, then perhaps other agents knew who she was? And maybe those other agents would be out to get her… She sent a death-glare at the general. "I'll kill you!" She said, raising her fist to punch him again, though this time with her magic at her side, but the general quickly held up his arms.

"Stacey it's me, Tom! Please listen to me!"

She looked at him like he was crazy, but he wasn't attacking her and his eyes seemed to be telling the truth. But she still didn't trust him. "Then show me. I know that if you're an agent you should be able to turn back into a civilian whenever you want to." She hoped, prayed, even though she wasn't religious! that it wasn't him. She didn't want her boyfriend, the only real man she had ever opened up to, to be a part of all of that. "And I know you aren't him. Tom is… Tom is the nicest guy I know. He wouldn't be with those… murderers." She half-whispered the end of it, because even she knew she was guilty of probably some death. After all, she couldn't guarantee that even if she only drained her victims into unconsciousness that they weren't killed later because they were vulnerable. But she knew she didn't kill on purpose like the Negaverse did! They were the evil ones.

The general seemed to wince at the word 'murderer', for which she was proud. However, whatever confidence she had was shattered, when the agent transformed in front of her, and she found her boyfriend, pinned to the grass beneath her, giving her an 'I'm sorry' look.

Arsenopyrite really hadn't been expecting the night to go the way it had gone. At first he was just following his girlfriend around to see if she would drain someone that he could use for another one of his experiments. He had often done it, she had been a convenient source for them, as he had been running low on subjects to be able to use, and no one would really miss a catcaller, at least most of the female population wouldn't, and they had been easy to take back. And so that's what he had been doing, and of course, once she had wandered off, he was going to go and take his subject back to his lab when suddenly, he felt the aura of a somewhat-stronger Dark Mirror senshi flare to life, and he had looked in the direction of it and suddenly he was flying through the air!

He landed on his back, not his head thank goodness, even a concussion in his general form would have been awful, and he was suddenly being punched in the face. It wasn't until he was able to stop the punches a bit with his weapon that he had realized that Stacey had come back and attacked him.

He knew it was Stacey, he had seen her power down one night when she was still a basic Dark Mirror senshi, and so after that he tended to follow her a bit, usually getting a laugh when she would go and beat up anyone unfortunate enough to try and harass her.

So tonight, he hadn't been expecting to be the target of her violence! But it seemed that she had gotten annoyed with him following her, and he hadn't been surprised that she had gone straight to the punching, which is why Arseno had tried to stop her when he called out her name. Unfortunately, it seemed that he had done the wrong thing, and now realized why she was so adamant on beating the crud out of him. She had a burning hatred, it seemed, from whatever had happened at that Circus. He had only been privy to the details from talking to other agents who had been there, but it was bad. He knew she had been suffering about it in silence since she probably didn't think it was the wisest idea to go and tell her boyfriend about such a thing in the first place. **** he thought. He now knew that she really did have a reason to hate the Negaverse. I should have told her earlier. But I just… he just what? Didn't want to ruin the first real serious relationship that he had had or that… could he really be in love with someone? It was sad, but he had to admit it now. He loved her, and he didn't want her to leave, which is why he hadn't told her… but the cat was out of the bag now, and he would have to show her who he was…

He hated to be such a disappointment to her. And to see her broken face when he had powered down and she could confirm it was him… He couldn't stand it!

Mithra got off of… Tom. Could she even really call him her boyfriend at this point? She felt so betrayed! How could he! How could such a nice guy be part of such an awful, awful thing?! How could he not tell her! She turned away, starting to cry. How could he! How dare he!? She thought in-between her racing thoughts. She sobbed. She hadn't cried in such a long time, how could she now?

Suddenly though she felt a pair of arms encircle her, but she could tell it wasn't from Tom. It was from the General. She wheeled around to tell him off, but this time she could see his face. His mask was down, and he had taken off the hat. And now that she had seen him become a civilian, she could now see through the magic that kept them from being recognized between civilian and powered, and could see Tom. He looked at her and she saw… something. Something there that she wasn't sure that she wanted to recognize. She hiccupped another cry, trying not to become a blubbering mess in front of him.

She isn't running away, I suppose that's a good thing. Arseno thought to himself as he tried to think of what to do or say in this situation. He had hoped that he would be telling her in a much calmer manner but… it was too late now. "Stacey, I'm sorry. I only barely know what happened at the Circus, and I promise you that I had no idea what was going on. If I did, I never would have let you, or Cynthia, go. I wouldn't have even let my brother suggest it. I would have ripped the tickets up myself. Stacey, if possible, I would like you to believe me. I know you're upset." If there was one thing he learned, it was that commanding her to do anything while she was upset, it would mean violence and he knew it would be deserved. Not that he thought that domestic violence coming from a woman was okay, just that he knew what her backstory was and that no significant other should be commanded by the other to somehow control their feelings.

"Stacey, I don't know what you know, but they don't tell us what's going on most of the time. In fact, a lot of my fellow agents have been the targets of these Negaverse attacks. I hate that. But I was forced into all of this and while I could leave… I could never join you Stace. I can't become a senshi. I never was a senshi. I have wished so many times over that I could join you in the Dark Mirror, but I can't. I'm a… was probably a knight or related to a knight. I have no senshi in my blood." He was rambling a bit now, he supposed to try and justify why he was staying in the Negaverse even when they committed such atrocities, but he was trying to show her he was there for a reason, and that reason was one he thought would be good for this world. And she seemed to be listening at least, she had stopped crying.

"This way… this way I can be on your side, though I know the Negaverse and the Dark Mirror aren't exactly allies anymore. But if I were to become a White Moon, I would have to abandon everything, even you. And, I can't stand to lose you! I… I know I really shouldn't be saying this, as I am right now, but I'll tell you everything. I promise I will. I'm just, so sorry you had to find out this way Stace." He said, dropping his hands from her arms, feeling more defeated every second.

It was the end, he could tell that it was. Of course she would hate him now. "I hate that the Negaverse does such things as the Circus, and if you are willing, I would like you to tell me about it later. It's not right that it happened, and I hate that we are in the dark all the time as agents. If I had known anything… I'm sorry Stace. I'm so sorry." It was all he could say really, mostly because blurting out 'I love you!' now would be a terrible thing and would probably drive her away.

Through the anger that was now churning in her head, she managed to listen to what Tom had to say. And she believed him. Or at least it had confirmed something that had been nagging her inside, which was seeing that even fellow agents of that stupid Circus general had been attacked and were fighting against him. It seemed that even the agents didn't like to be tricked. And throughout their entire relationship, Tom had been quite open with her. And he didn't seem to be keeping any secrets, except for this one it seemed, from her. Her anger continually abated until it was finally gone. She believed him. Even though there had been scores of awful men who had tried to be with her or who had tried to do something to her, he had never done so. And she knew he had his reasons for keeping it a secret.

She looked at him, her eyes still red and a bit wet from crying. "How did you know who I was?"

He gave her a small smile. "I saw you drain some catcaller a while back while you were still a basic senshi. And then I saw you turn back into a civilian." He said, giving her a small, but sad, smile.

She sighed, of course that had happened, but thank goodness it was him and not someone else. She walked up to him, as he had stepped away from her, and put her arms around his neck, and he instinctively held her waist. "Tom… you need to tell me everything about this." She said, trying not to cry again. He nodded. "I just… what happened at the Circus was so awful. But if even their own agents don't know, I can't hold it against you and… I would hate to lose you too." She said, giving him a small smile. He blushed, and she decided against telling him how much the two brothers were alike. "Just… I just need to think about this and I would like to get to bed." She said, before giving him a quick peck on the lips, silently telling him that she had forgiven him.

Tom nodded, glad that she was willing to talk to him about all of this and blushed a bit more when she had kissed him. He hadn't been expecting it, nor the giggle that came from her once she saw how he was reacting. He sighed but gave her another small smile. "All right. I can take you to my apartment if you want? I know that my bed is a lot comfier than yours, at least from what you've said, and I can go and sleep on the couch if you want the room." He didn't want to push her into anything, even if that was just going to bed and doing nothing other than sleeping on the same mattress. He could tell that she was tired, and the information was resting heavily on her. He didn't want to drive her crazy by making her do anything or guilt her into doing something she didn't want to do.

She thought about it for a moment and realized that Tom probably had the best idea. As much as she just wanted to go back to her apartment and fall asleep straight onto the mattress, she knew that his was just so much nicer, that she couldn't resist his offer. And she knew that he wouldn't put his hands on her. Heck, she had to initiate every session they had, she would be wondering who the heck had invaded his body if he laid a perverted hand on her! "All right, though you don't have to sleep on the couch. We can share the bed since it's big enough for the both of us and even Blujeans." She had to take the cat into account of course.

Tom smiled, a lot wider this time. "Of course, I can't guarantee that he won't try to snuggle with you. Here, hold onto me, I can teleport us close to my apartment and then we can power down and walk from there." He said, making sure that she was ready for it, and off they went.

And of course, they completely ignored the fact that there had been an unconscious man within feet of them the whole time.

Stacey hit the punching bag, slowing down with every hit. It had been a thing with her lately. She just hadn’t been able to get into the training that she wanted. She wondered if it was her low-level of depression that was starting to rear it’s ugly head again, but she doubted it. She just… didn’t feel as if she was getting everywhere. Every day was starting to feel the same, even when she did use her powers. Sure, she certainly hadn’t liked the obelisk event that had happened, and she couldn’t stand what happened in the winter, but there was a difference between those and just not enjoying one’s life that much. Something felt like it needed to change.

She wanted to travel. She wanted to go and see the world before it was completely doomed. Unfortunately, on her salary, while it was comfortable, she didn’t make enough to just be able to take a few months off to go and hitchhike around the world. She wondered though if her boyfriend would be able to lend her some money. Or heck, even go on the trip with her! She highly doubted the latter though, as he was just now getting into medical school and even after that it would be a while until they could actually take some real time off to go travelling together. That is, if they were still together at that point… She didn’t doubt that they would be, at least if they were purely civilian, but she wondered if there might be any major changes within the Negaverse. Sure, it was quiet for now, it always seemed to be quiet in the summer when it came to the Negaverse, even Tom had commented on it that he was surprised that there were few if any events that the Negaverse started during those few precious months of heat.

Neither of them really understood it but could only assume that it was because even deranged individuals wanted to enjoy the weather. Or perhaps they were more easily able to gather starseeds than in other, colder months.

Stacey felt a shiver race down her spine. Starseeds. She really didn’t want to think about those. She knew that Arseno had been doing something with them, though from what she had been told, he only targeted certain civilians rather than just a drain, and only one at a time of those who truly deserved it. She still didn’t quite agree with it, but if it got certain, serial criminals off the streets… Though she knew that even he was trying to prevent the loss of life. She supposed that the reason she hated seeing starseeds eaten so easily was that they were souls, and that they could never be brought back. Arseno had told her however that he had wanted to change it. To see if there was a way to extract the starseed, but leave the soul within the person. She couldn’t help but agree that was a good idea, it was just unfortunate the way he had to go about testing for it. And from what she had been told, he hadn’t been successful as of yet.

She still didn’t fully trust Arseno, how could she after that circus incident? And he knew it too, which is why she knew he tried everything he could to show that he was trustworthy. But she never trusted him one-hundred present anyway. He knew that too. Her experience with men and dating in general had given her that idea, but still, she felt safe with him and felt that his heart was in the right place. He had told her at times that he wished he could purify, become the knight that he was supposed to be instead of the agent that he was, but he couldn’t do it. From what he had been told by others who had corrupted senshi and knights into agents, they lost memories. They even had to form new identities even if they only lost their powered memories. Tom often asked her if he was a coward because he couldn’t make the transition. He just didn’t want to lose the memory of his family, of his brother, or of her. Perhaps the relationship had been moving a bit quickly, but they already felt as though they couldn’t be apart from each other. Apart physically sure, they could always message or call each other, but apart emotionally. Breaking up is what they couldn’t do, and he knew that if he did purify, they could no longer be together. He would have to make a whole new identity, and she wouldn’t be able to find out his powered form.

She had listened to him ranting about it before, and had comforted him, sometimes crying with him, as they both knew it was too hard of a decision. Was it right to stay on the chaotic side? Or would it be better to go and purify, even if that meant leaving everything that they knew? Sure, she would be able to do it more easily, even if she would lose him, but she didn’t have much of a social life in the first place, and now it mostly consisted of her fellow Dark Moon senshi. Although she liked them as friends, she still wasn’t particularly close to them, which was unfortunate, but just the way it was. It would be much harder for Tom though.

There was also the nagging feeling of, even if they were to purify, would that really do anything? They both felt as though they could do more within their respective fashions than becoming part of the White Moon and… doing what? At least the Dark Mirror had a goal in mind to help everyone, and the Negaverse was already too big. They both felt as though the White Moon was just too scattered. Perhaps it was the effects of the media calling them terrorists, but they didn’t seem to do anything. They didn’t have any big events that could out agents, they didn’t particularly go about hunting them, and while they seemed to be a large force, they just… didn’t seem to be making any progress. Like they needed more on their side or some sort of leader.

There had to be leaders, right? If there were General-Kings/Queens for the Negaverse, and Princes/Princesses for the Dark Mirror, there had to be some sort of leaders for the White Moon? They hadn’t seen any as of yet though. Or at least it seemed that the leaders of the White Moon didn’t care as much about making an actual difference or doing anything. Which was another reason not to purify. If you didn’t have someone at least trying to get the senshi or Knights to do something together, whether it be an event, meeting, etc. then how were they supposed to make any difference?

They weren’t. Even the Dark Mirror, small as they were, seemed to be doing more than the White Moon. It pissed Stacey off. Sure, she didn’t feel like a total good guy, she had to use chaos for her powers after all, but at least she was doing something! Even if that was just making a gym! At least her fellow Dark Mirror could train and stay in shape when they needed to and would be ready for battles! What could the White Moon say about their side? Nothing! At least it was assumed. Of course, neither of them new the actual going-ons of the other side, but with the lack of well, anything, it was only reasonable to assume. Sure, the Dark Mirror didn’t do much either, except for that Mirrorscape thing last summer that they were forced into, but they now had the power to create worlds within the Mirrorscape to try and sustain life. What could the White Moon do? She would have to ask one the next time she encountered one of them.

She sighed, hitting the bag one more time, before taking off her gloves and throwing them to the side as she walked over to take a drink out of her water bottle. Afterwards, she stared at it a bit, wondering if she should switch to something like Powerade to renew her electrolytes instead. Did it really matter though? None of this seemed to. All she could do was train and wait for the next Negaverse event to happen. Arseno had told her that he would tell her if he knew such a thing was going to happen, but he himself was often in the dark as to the events, so the both of them would probably be surprised once again the next time the Negaverse struck. Unless it was October or December. They seemed to always strike during those months for some reason. Maybe the Negaverse just hated those holidays? Or at least liked Halloween to disguise their activities better.

Suddenly, an idea hit her. Sure, she would have to wait a few months to do it, but hopefully Tom would be willing to help her with it, and she rushed over to her phone, quickly calling him to ask him for his help.

Super Solo #8 & 9: 1,024 words

Mithra looked at her mirrorwraith with some curiosity as it continued to drain energy from the two men who had just tried to assault her. It was always funny when some idiot or idiots tried to treat her like she was some ordinary woman walking down the street. There was a reason that she no longer feared going down the darker alleys at night, she wasn’t constantly looking over her shoulder. Though she did consider herself lucky that she hadn’t been targeted as a civilian by anyone yet, considering they would know who she was if she changed in front of them. Though she was sure that Arseno had something to do with it. Or else it was the fact that the Negaverse didn’t seem to target the Dark Mirror faction. Lucky for me, means I get to beat them up more easily. She thought as she sighed, shifting a bit, trying to find a more comfortable position on the one sturdy box that she had managed to find in the alley.

But she didn’t have to worry about being attacked by civilians as a Dark Mirror senshi, and a super one at that, hopefully soon to become eternal, though she really wasn’t looking forward to the butt wings. She didn’t care if civilians saw her power up, she could easily knock them out and have them drained within a minute or two. More if she was feeling like they really deserved it, like tonight. She glared at the unconscious bodies of the two men before her. She wondered if she should be stealing from their wallets while they were knocked out but decided against it. Instead when her wraith was done, she would just take their wallets and phones out and leave them in the alley. Make it easier for anyone who actually did need the money, or just wanted the items, to get to them more easily than having to dig through the mens’ pockets.

Which is what her wraith was currently doing. She often wondered what the wraith was made out of, and why they couldn’t drain energy like the Negaverse agents could. That was one drawback of being a Dark Mirror, inability to collect and store energy themselves. Instead, the wraiths had to do it and if the wraith was attacked, well all of that draining was for nothing! And at first it had been hard dealing with the wraiths. It would have been so much easier to just grab onto the person to drain them, like the agents could. When it had come to the first few times of draining, she had actually forgotten about the shard altogether and was frustrated that nothing came out just with her thinking or saying for it to come out. Luckily none of her victims had been conscious to see her blunder, but it was still embarrassing. It would have been more embarrassing however if one of her fellow Dark Mirror had seen it.

Mithra felt a twitch of annoyance. Having an older, more powerful Dark Mirror to guider her as a basic would have been better. Sure, she could have annoyed Remarque to death about it, or tried to find out who else could have worked, but she didn’t do either of those things. She just… wish it would have happened. But she knew the reason, besides the fact that many of them were busy with their own lives, they were just too few in number. The conversation with the senshi reminded her of it, and she only hoped that she didn’t tell him that it was okay to go and attack the Dark Mirror because they were so small.

If only they could get more recruits, it would be so much easier! But the fact that they were small, and that they needed a corrupt guardian cat made it all that much harder to get people to join. Why join the Dark Mirror when instead you could go and be a senshi with super-long hair in the Negaverse? Though she believed that some might have preferred the Dark Mirror since the DM seemed to be a bit more neutral, it was just easier, and less time consuming to go ahead and be corrupted by the Negaverse. Why care about the Dark Mirror?

Her wraith had finally finished it’s meal and Mithra could tell by how opaque it looked at this point. She sighed and sent it away with her mirror shard, not allowing it to hang out just in case some overzealous White Moon person decided that they needed to fight with her tonight and that it was just oh so evil to be draining energy! She wondered if… Would they be able to get more recruits from the White Moon senshi if the Dark Mirror could explain what they really were? She could only hope but highly doubted it. Too many of the White Moon senshi had that “we’re the good guys and they’re the bad guys” black and white mentality. Could it have been from them being recruited as children? Arseno had told her, with disgust in his voice, that there were actual small children senshi on the White Moon’s side fighting in this war. She couldn’t help but feel disgusted herself. The White Moon could preach as much as they wanted to about the Negaverse and Dark Mirror being the evil bad guys, but what about them and how they subjected children to all of this? Didn’t the children deserve to have normal lives and not have PTSD at a young age? She just couldn’t understand the hypocrisy.

Kicking herself off of the box, Mithra stretched for a bit, and realizing that her bottom had gone numb from sitting on the box for so long. She grumbled about it before deciding to head home using the rooftops. It was times like this where she wished she were like Spider-Girl/Woman and could just web her way around the city. Though there really weren’t enough buildings that would work like in New York. She supposed that being able to jump from rooftop to rooftop was the next best thing.

Super Solo #10 - 12: 1,585 words

The only things Mithra could hear while she was running was her heavy breathing and the sound of her boots hitting the pavement. Her adrenaline was making her run at top speed now, and there was no way she could stop. Not until she got far enough away. There was a crash behind her, as though something had just gone through the wall that she had hopped over, but she wouldn’t allow herself to stop. She had to get into the clearing of the park, where there would be less people, and less things for her to be thrown into or at.

She continued on her run, dodging the various obstacles that littered her path and she wished that she knew some parkour. After all of this was over, she would have to sign up for some classes right away. Those types of thoughts weren’t helpful now however, as she still had to run. She could feel her throat start to tighten and hurt, telling her that she wouldn’t be able to keep this up for much longer, but she had to. Her mind was made up, that and her life was pretty much on the line at this point so if she did stop, she would be dead.

She continued to pound the pavement, her foot slipping at one point, but she managed to correct herself. Stupid heels! She thought, along with a string of other, not-so-nice words at the thought of her boots. Sure, they were boots, and they didn’t have the regular heel with the space in-between, but that didn’t make them any better for walking, or for her calves. She wouldn’t have worn anything like them otherwise.

More noises from behind. She refused to look back. It would only slow her down and she might run into something if she did. Escaping, going to a certain point, it was the only thing running through her mind right now, and she only hoped that no one would get in the way.

Suddenly, she saw it! The beginning of the park! She had finally made it! Though she still had a-ways to go if the thing tailing her had anything to say about it. She quickly got onto the grass, her foot slipping once again since it had recently rained, but she gained her footing again and continued on. She knew this park well. She didn’t hang out here to find victims, but during the day it was a great place to run and work out when it wasn’t too hot, and I the evenings too when it was nice enough and the day had been too hot.

The clearing came into view, it was right there! She quickly used the last of her leg strength to speed up and land inside of it, rolling to the ground, but righting herself and turning to the thing that had been chasing her this whole time. It was a youma, and a hungry one at that it if was going after another powered person who used chaos instead of some order senshi or knight. It was desperate it seemed, though she thought that it would have been easier to go after some civilians. Perhaps it hadn’t yet realized that she had powered up somehow? After all, it had spotted her as she had been walking down the street…

The night had started out so promising. After she was done with work, she had walked down the street back to her apartment, and no one had catcalled her! It was amazing! And she had such a great work day too! She had plenty of clients, and none of them complained about how hard the exercises had been. One of them had even suggested to Stacey that she could go back to school to learn some physical therapy. It was something to think about at least, and all of that had led to Stacey walking home with a hum coming out of her mouth. It didn’t last long. She hadn’t noticed it since she didn’t have her aura senses as a civilian, but apparently a hungry youma had been waiting in an alleyway that the druggies usually hung out in. She was just walking by when suddenly it had grabbed her and slammed her into the wall of one of the buildings. She felt her head hit the bricks hard and could tell that she was going to have a bruise there, if not a minor concussion. She only just had enough time to open her eyes and see the thing that had grabbed her.

She couldn’t tell what it was supposed to look like at first, as though it was some multi-headed alien dog monster or something, drooling from multiple mouths all at once. She only barely had enough time to look at the ground and see the bodies of several people who were no longer alive. She managed to move one of her arms and held her pen up to be able to power up right before the monster took a good bite out of her shoulder. Transforming caused it to drop her, and she felt her feet hit the ground before she was done, but eventually she became Mithra, and managed to punch one of the heads of the monster.

The hit wasn’t as accurate as she would have liked and her punch, while hitting one of the heads, managed to hit the teeth of the head and her glove ripped open scraping her skin. She had cursed out loud and the creature became enraged, which is when she had started to run. Sure, she could have tried to get away from the youma completely but knew it wouldn’t stop killing until it was finally put out of it’s misery. Or at least she assumed it was misery, Arseno had told her that youma used to be humans and other living creatures that had been mutated with chaos. Why someone would do such a thing she couldn’t understand, but that was the explanation given to her.

In the clearing she could finally face it head on and use her punching powers against it. She only hoped that she could kill it even though she used chaos herself. She had done it before, but this one seemed powerful, and she knew that she had only one shot at it with her powers, otherwise she would have to try to beat the creature using her physical abilities and hoping that would be enough to dust it.

It moved slowly towards her now, the both of them having little energy left to be able to fight, but they would have to. She really wished Arseno was here at this point, at least his weapon could do some real damage to it. The youma growled at her with all of it’s mouths, and she felt nauseated looking at it again. It really was horrifying to look at. Then, it lunged! She barely dodged to the side, but as soon as she had and looked back at the youma, it had already turned towards her and was skidding, trying to run as fast as it could to her. She cursed again. She was not ready to fight this sort of thing on her own, even if she was a Super Dark Mirror senshi.

It howled this time, and Mithra only barely stopped herself from putting her hands over her ears and staying in place. She would make sure to have her hearing checked after this fight though. It lunged again, but this time she jumped over it and touched it’s back, making her flip and turn in the right direction, and landing on her feet. It hurt though, since she landed on them in a way she wasn’t used to with boots on, but otherwise she thought she had done pretty well with that gymnastics maneuver even if she had never been to a gymnastics class.

Before the youma could turn around, Mithra was already sending her fist at it and yelled, “Shrimp Super Punch!” landing her fist squarely on the creature’s back. She continued to punch it 3 more times. If it was any other powered person, they would have been sent flying, but since this creature was so large, it had dug into the ground with it’s claws with every punch, keeping it from moving forward. She reveled in every punch, and when she finally used the last one, the creature let out a horrible wail before dusting and leaving Mithra with her fist outward, as though she had just been in the middle of something and had been interrupted.

It took a moment for it all to catch up to her, but it finally did, and she felt herself fall onto her butt, just trying to catch her breath for a moment. She never wanted to run as much as she had that night ever again. She certainly wouldn’t be volunteering for any marathons anytime soon. Eventually though, the pain from her hand caught up to her brain, and she hissed as it continued to pulse, knowing that while she could heal better in this form than as a civilian, she still needed medical treatment in case she got any infections from it. That and she needed to see if any chaos or anything had been put into her from the bite. And she knew just the person to go to for it, and quickly made her way out of the clearing and towards his apartment.
