Dris'rynne clucked her tongue with a little grin. "They would have gotten away long ago, if it hadn't been for the cobbler's son." Honestly, some times she couldn't tell which one actually liked him, if either truly did, and which simply wanted to steal him away to hold him over the other. As sweet as the twins presented themselves, in the right light they could be absolute devils. They were never fond of the Oban sands, but now that they were in Jauhar Dris'rynne was sure they would be visited often. "We could certainly try. He knows more people in this village than I do." She wasn't sure how many would attend if it were left to her. A handful, maybe; not enough to have a proper wedding, but maybe enough for a small ceremony.
"Her father is getting married. If Malila doesn't see that as something worth busting Lori out for a few weeks then there's no helping her. Surely her instructors could send some school work with her, if need be?" IT didn't make much sense to Dris'rynne, keeping the poor girl in a school she didn't want to be anywhere near, but that was Malila's choice as a mother.
"We'll have a party, one way or the other, and it'll be the best damn wedding that Jauhar's ever seen." Dris'rynne leaned up against Tes' chest, balancing her bare feet on the boards behind him to help retain her balance. Her little bump pressed against his stomach. "Are you ready to be a married man, Tes? A married man and father of four?"

'The cobbler's son.' Teslaron didn't know if that was some kind of euphemism or if it sounded like what it was, but his interest was immediately piqued, hopeful for the former. Dris wasn't liable to spread any foul rumors about her sisters, but in the moment, Tes couldn't help but wish for an opportunity to gossip like he had when he'd lived in a place whose population rivaled the full rest of the mainland. For a moment, he did consider prying, but he likely had no business inquiring about the lives of two girls so much younger than him (family or not), and there were more pressing matters to tend to, besides.
Like whether he could convince his- What was Malila to him, exactly?- daughter's mother to let him see his child. "It's not Lila I'm worried about helping," Tes retorted, tone rising an octave such that it was almost a whine. "I want her to be here. You want her to be here. She should be here, even if it was something she didn't want..."
Not for the first time, he wished that he had just a fraction more of a pull in his offspring's life... But no, Lila made all the rules. Malila decided where she could go, and who she could see, and how long she could be gone. Teslaron had thought he'd be fine with the arrangement, since a child with Malila hadn't necessarily been intended, and the woman had carried her for all that while well he continued to stay with Dris'rynne, but that didn't make it any less impossible to deal with now. "It's just an unnecessary pain to ahev to fight this hard, when she's half mine, too."
He let the conversation shift, and his mood with it. "You're concerned for my capabilities, are you," he huffed teasingly. "I don't imagine," The hand at her hip curved and dipped to the swell of her bum, 'steadying' her, in whatever way Dris might need. "It will be much different from anything we've done yet. Maybe even more natural. We've already lived together for this long."

Dris'rynne patted his upper back with a soothing hand, patting it in a genuinely sympathetic fashion. "I know, I know, but we can't just kidnap her." She frowned, scrunching her little nose in the act, "I wish she wouldn't be so strict about it, though. Lori's your daughter too." There may have been an almost whine in Tes' voice, but there was audible pout in Dris'. She knew nothing of long-distance co-parenting, however, and as it Talori wasn't actually her kid she tried to stay out of it, but honestly-!
What bothered this man bothered her as well. There had been a few days, when her girls had been bothered by the 'loss' of their sister, that she'd debated going to Oba herself to bring the girl to them. There had to be some kind of balance; they just needed to be smart enough about this to find it.
Or stubborn enough, as the case may be.
"That is a lot to care for." She mused, "What will you do when the little one learns how to move faster through these trees than you? How will you discipline what you can't catch?"

"We could." The words were off his tongue before he could stop them, and he lifted a finger to tap lightly against Dris' nose. "I'm. Not. Above it," he purred to her in an airy, sing-song tone, giving a tap at each syllable.
"I've got to discipline him?" Tes snorted, eyes snapping wide and grin cracking broadly at the thought. "For what? What could he possibly do that could require discipline? Rucking up all the girls' skirts? Or do you suspect it'll be a girl, getting into other girls' panties?" He supposed there were other options. He had nothing against boys laying with other boys and would surely commend any son of his on his versatility. But the fourth option, some strange man putting hands on his daughter- No, no, that was still far off into the future, if ever...
"I'm sure they'll all be faster than me, regardless. And if not faster, certainly more capable." His gaze wandered to the darkness around them, the thick branches, the constantly falling leaves, and the sheer height. Jauhar didn't suit him, and Tes wasn't often thrilled over the idea of stepping out of his house and into the unknown at all. "I will stay at home, I think... And leave it to you to catch them if they wander."
"And," He slunk his arms around her. "I know I'll be able to catch you."

Dris'rynne couldn't help but to snort, following that up with a nervous, wary chuckle. She wouldn't put it past him to try, though she preferred a more direct, honest approach.
"The time will come where you'll have to, yes." Dris pulled one of her legs back, tightening it around his waist so that she could lean back against the hand at her backside. "Girl or boy, I hope they have a little more tact than to ruck up skirts." Even as the words left her mouth the shifter knew it was in vain. The child was going to be Teslaron's by blood; all bets were off.
She certainly wouldn't tolerate it. It would be one thing for her child to talk to others, maybe even date a few, but to be an open, unchecked pervert-
"You'll just have to outsmart them." Now it was her turn to tap his nose with the tip of her index finger. He had managed with the girls, and while Jauhar may not sit well with him he could learn.
"You've already caught me. Heart and soul."
With a new baby on the way the concept of marriage hadn't been far from Dris'rynne's mind. She'd always wanted it; dreamed of it, even, ever since she was a little girl. While life hadn't played out according to the dreams of her seven year old self, presently she was as giddy as could be. Within the new couple of months she was going to be a married woman, tied in matrimony to a wonderful man, and shortly after she would have another little one in her arms.
In the mean time all she wanted to do was smile and hold Tes as close to her heart as possible.
