Saraf gave a bit of a grin as he said, "Why is it that I almost believe you when you claim that to be your life long dream?" Due to the fact that it was Arima made him want to take her words at face value. As such he might just have to keep an eye on her to keep her from getting into a brawl that might cause her to end up over her head. A small tussle, maybe, but a big, full bar brawl, definitely not. Giving her a smile he said, "If such a thing crops up I will help back you up so you're not the first to fall. Alright?"

"I can't say that I've ever been in a tavern where people were arguing about attire... though I suppose that if you get enough people drinking in one place that it's bound to happen at least once." Especially if it were a more fancy crowd that was in said bar. The Outcast Unit and Saraf himself might not care about such things as fancy dress but he was certain that some soldiers out there might.

Blinking a couple times he focused his one good eye on Arima as she mentioned them going to find a pretty girl, "Eh? Eh?" That was... one way to start a fight he supposed? After a moment he shook his head and said, "You're more then enough woman for me, Arima. I don't think seeking out another would do my heart any good." Besides, he was far happier with it just being the two of them on his romp.

Their walked continued, with him taking in the streets they were on, and he said, "Not much longer now, about two blocks and we will be at the tavern. We will see about getting a seat in the back so that we are bound to attract less attention to ourselves." If such a thing were possible given that he was an armed soldier and she was a very special looking Matorian. Perhaps they'd get lucky and nobody would look twice their way.

Arima flushed at the teasing, "Really?" She replied with a pout, "I have more in mind than that...though I guess I'm pretty close to my dream right now." After all that dreaming and reading about romances...well...here she was. She smiled at him playfully as they headed down the street, "Sounds like a plan, I'll watch your back if you watch mine."

"Then you are most fortunate. It's really tiresome when you watch ladies bantering the day away. I thankfully always carried books with me and would perch in some corner where I wouldn't be bothered during those occasions." She frowned at the memories before shaking her head, "Not that I go to those anymore, thankfully." At least for now though she wondered if her mother started feeling better if that would include more professional gatherings? That was until she left and rejoined the Outcast Unit...

Arima laughed at Saraf's reaction, "That's good then." She quipped lightly, "I would hope so~ I don't think you could survive two of me for all the trouble I make." As they continued walking she was certain to keep an eye on the street around them. It seemed like this was the first time she had ever been in this part of the city. At least that she could remember and so Arima was trying to memorize everything as they passed.

"Less attention? Doesn't that mean we have to behave?" She teased lightly as she glanced back up towards Saraf, "But I suppose that would make the most sense wouldn't it?" Though she had the feeling that the pair of them would be hard to miss indeed.

Saraf turned to look over at Arima he gave her a curious look before he found himself asking, "You're pretty close? Anything that I can do to help you get closer to it?" He found himself curious what her big dream might actually be. Was it something akin to her job? Was it something to do with the two of them? The latter one sounded a bit arrogant though, didn't it? Still, he found himself wondering what he might be able to do to help her reach her goals. Not something that he'd of even though about when he was younger having been so caught up in his own goals at the time.

Turning to glance Arima's way as she mentioned him being unable to survive two of her he gave a shake of his head, "I feel that would be quite a difficult challenge..." A bit like trying to herd perzi he thought to himself.

"Well... when you put it that way it doesn't really sound like much, huh?" If they were going to behave completely then they might as well just go back and have more tea. Giving a smile he said, "We don't have to behave completely I suppose... but we will have to behave to a degree. We just don't want to draw too much attention to ourselves since we can have more fun that way."

He stopped in front of the door to the bar that was their goal, looking back and forth for a moment before he opened the door for Arima so she could head in.

Feel free to start trouble whenever <3 or I can if you want. >3>

Arima's cheeks couldn't have gotten any warmer, "Ah....well you have helped a lot already." She glanced away sheepishly, "But it's okay. I'll tell you eventually...maybe....we'll see." The Matori smiled up at him bashfully. It was rather embarrassing to admit to after all. Yet at the same time it was nice to know that she had finally found someone...that she could feel at ease with and be with. The thoughts made her even more flustered and so the healer continued walking on. Even if she had dreamed of romances it didn't make her feel any less flustered talking about it!

Arima laughed, "I suppose I can agree with that. So no big fires, perhaps just a smaller brawl, and only a few broken bones...got it." She winked teasingly at him as they continued on. Truly though she didn't know what to expect once they got there, but she would find out soon enough.

As he opened the door the healer thanked him and continued instead. Her gaze was alert and Arima made certain to stay next to Saraf's side as they wandered in. It was similar to the last time she had been to a tavern, but this time at least the Matori had Saraf to walk next to so that no one got the wrong impression. So far so good....right? Though obviously a few gazes had already traveled over the woman due to her strange appearance. "So do we sit and simply order food to start off?" She asked as she kept glancing around.

I'm good either way. And the trouble can be caused by really anything. I offered a few ideas in my post for a reason. <3

Giving a smile Saraf said, "Alright, I'll be here any time you want to divulge that secret to me." Not only because it meant that she trusted him enough to share such information but because it had him rather curious. The former being the far more important of the two things.

"A smaller brawl sounds fair... and you can always use that magic of yours to patch people up once it's all said and done with if you wanted to." Not that he encourage her to heal just anyone. There were definitely those out there that didn't deserve any sort of special treatment from the Matorian woman. He supposed that he'd leave it up to her discretion provided that they actually did end up in in such a brawl.

After stepping inside Saraf gave a glance around the place, taking in how many people were present, as well as the general mood of the place. Once he'd gotten a feel for it he moved to lead the way to a place near to the back. He wanted them to find a seat where they could see everyone in the tavern as well as the door, that way he could be on guard and Arima could enjoy her time in the place. As they went he had to admit it was a bit nicer then the Janarim's Skull. That wasn't saying a lot but still, it was something.

Of course even as he thought that he could tell that there were some people that seemed a bit restless. There could be any number of reasons though. Be it the two of them looking a bit strange together, Arima being a Matorian, or Saraf being a member of the Outcast Unit. There were a number of reasons for the stares but unless it became more then just stares he saw no reason to react. Just to be careful though he shrugged out of the strap that tied his sword to his back, leaning it against the seat he took.

It was an obvious warning to anyone that might approach as he turned his attention to Arima, "We can order drinks but most of these places rarely have real food. Sometimes they serve appetizers though. Tends to be salty treats meant to make people more thirsty so they order more drinks." Best to warn her before they ordered anything.

"I feel like we're at some restaurant deciding on which meal to order." Teased Arima lightly, "I'll take a small brawl with a bit of table destruction on the side." She jested as they walked through the crowd to sit at a more private table. At the stares the woman just raised her head proudly. Let them try! Though on the inside her heart was racing a mile a minute. Would everything truly be okay? Subconsciously the Matori was already inching closer and closer to Saraf and breathed a sigh of relief when they sat at the table.

"Oooh that's smart." Arima blinked at the insight, "Still it wouldn't be an experience without trying some of the appetizers, right?" She waved down a server, something she had seen others do, and placed an order for a few of the appetizers - whatever the tavern served the best of - and gestured towards Saraf, "Also whatever he wishes to drink and I'll try some." She smiled shyly before the server prepared to leave. So far so good...it didn't see so rowdy....

And then came some raised voices. Arima's cheeks flushed as she nearly jumped at the sound of breaking glass as some mugs got tossed to the tavern floor and a few men began to stand. Well...that didn't take long now did it? What she didn't notice was how some of the men had kept an eye on her and the ruckus was an easier way for the crowd to swallow the tavern and cause chaos...

Saraf gave a bit of a chuckle as she mentioned ordering a 'small brawl' with some table destruction on the side. A good joke so long as no member of the Outcast Unit heard her and got ideas. That would end up a mess that the unit would end having to pay for... though they tended to act like it was totally worth it in the long run. They were into that sort of fun, especially when drinking.

"Feel free to order anything you'd like. I just figured I'd warn you." He murmured, giving a smile. He really didn't mind when paying for anything that Arima might want because it was Arima. She was the sort he wanted to do things for and get things for. Not something that he had much experience with people that weren't family but he would do his best to figure out this whole dating thing. Even if he was rather old to be learning such lessons now.

Just as it turned his turn to order, with him order a different sort of snack food and a beer he heard the first smash of breaking glass. He gave a shake of his head, looking to Arima and said, "I will never understand why bar tenders don't get less breakable mugs." It seemed like a way to save a lot of money in his mind. Presently he wasn't giving the fight much of his attention since it sounded like a smaller one, likely someone cheating at cards or saying something ill of another man's girlfriend. That tended to be the normal fare when it came to such fights.

Arima was imaging what the food would be like when the echoes of the glass sounded about the tavern, "But what would be the fun in that?" She quipped back at Saraf though his comment had caused the woman to laugh quietly. Now sturdier mugs would make too much sense wouldn't they? It did seem to be a smaller brawl as even their server returned with some of the appetizers.

As Arima lifted a piece of bread to her lips the woman barely got to enjoy the taste before another thud caught her attention, "Oh....are you...okay?" She found herself asking as a man was thrown towards their table and then dragged back by another. Then an obvious drunk was wandering over to their table, "Oiy buddeh, I dun thunk yer at the right place. Yer supposed to buy the ladies at the red lantern....unless this one wanted ore since she seems 'special 'n all." He motioned towards Arima with a rather lewd grin and the Matori found herself reaching out with her staff to push him away.

"I am not that type of lady." She protested before standing, "Well...seems like we have our brawl after all..." Though really what could have started this mess? "Did someone cheat at cards or something?" She asked before reaching down for a snack and dodging a flying mug. Well, okay then....Arima glanced over towards Saraf as if to ask - what now?

Saraf gave a little grunt as someone was thrown toward their table, turning toward the ones that seemed to be in a tussle. It seemed there was really no reason to step in though because as soon as one man was thrown there way he was promptly dragged back so that the fight could continue. He was about to turn back to Arima when someone else spoke up, someone who seemed to have imbued himself with a heaping helping of liquid courage.

Turning slowly toward the man he affixed him with his good eye and said, "Not everyone has to buy their woman, friend." He said, doing his best not to let his usual temper flare. He wanted to look good in front of Arima instead of acting like... well, like his younger self. Maybe the drunk would go away given the chance? Giving the man the best smile that he could muster he said, "How about you go on your way? I'm sure you have better things to do with your time then bother people while they on a date?" Or so Saraf hoped.

Giving a smile he looked back to Arima and said, "Tends to happen. It's even worse at night when the place is more crowded and people are deeper in their cups."

As the drunk grumbled and wandered on another man had sneaked up behind Arima, "I'd like to buy a woman though~" Arima let out a surprised gasp as a hand reached around her waist and tugged her backwards, "What do you say? Nothin' like a pretty lady to take home to some important people." The Oban grinned as Arima tried to push away towards Saraf.

"Shame, that a fight is startin' around us. Hard to do much bargaining or savin' in a chaotic place, right?" The Oban whistled and pointed towards Saraf, "This here's the one who said the ale was piss and that the cards you played were false, Zire! 5 gold for anyone who can fight him and show him that we don't cheat at no cards!" His words basically opened a floodgate as men swarmed around them and the fighting exploded into a full fledged brawl.

Arima stood in disbelief as she lost sight of Saraf in the chaos, "Saraf!" The healer tried to speak before a hand was placed over her mouth. Frowning, Arima found herself actually biting at the man's fingers, "Over...here!" But more men were swarming around them as chaos ensued with insults being flung here and there...along with a fists and some other objects that could be tossed easily.

Saraf was glad to see the drunk going on his way, half hoping that he might get swept up in the brawl for what he'd said to Arima. He found himself relaxing... but only for a moment as contestant number two stepped up, spouting the same sort of nonsense. He opened his mouth, about to tell the guy to also take a hike... when instead he was grabbing Arima up out of her seat. His eyes went wide, the pupil of his good eye going to almost a point for a moment, "What in the name of Nerad's beard do you think you're..." And then the guy was just wandering off.

Jerking to his feet he tossed some coin onto the table, grabbed up his sword, and stalked after the man. Just as he did that the man called out, putting a bounty on his head for anyone that would try to stop him. He lunged forward, finding himself knocked around for a moment by those that wanted that money. He struggled for a moment, tossed a couple punches... then decided to go about it different. Reaching into his pocket he took out a fist full of gold coins and threw them into the air. It became an instant mob scene, something that had him thinking that he and Arima were going to likely be banned, before he started to fight his way toward the door with those that still wanted a piece of him instead of the cash.

Hearing his name being called out he have a hiss, "Arima! Just... Just set all those bastards on fire!" He yelled after her, turning to kick a guy in the chest that had grabbed him. A few more kicks and punches later and he was again starting forward toward Arima again.

Arima was in so much disbelief at the chaos going on around them that the girl for a moment allowed the Oban to drag her along. They were here for a dinner...and to see some action...but this was a bit - well unexpected. Arima's daze, however, ended whenever she heard Saraf yelling her name. Fire? Setting....ooooh. Blinking her eyes the Matori finally dug her heels into the ground and shoved an elbow strongly into the man's gut, "Let go!"

As he grunted and let out a few curses Arima found herself casting whatever spell came to mind and immediately the air around them grew heavy with humidity as water just erupted all around. Suddenly men were slipping and throwing their punches to the air as they fell forward and sideways on the wet flooring. Flailing, Arima tried to move her way towards Saraf though it was hard with all the moving bodies.

"Saraf!" So perhaps it wasn't fire, but in a way it was effective? Arima's cheeks flushed as she threw a shoe at a man trying to stab Saraf from behind. Even though she effectively distracted him from Saraf the momentum she had lost allowed the Oban to catch back up with her and grab her again with a curse.

"Stay still woman."

"How about no you ---" Even though his hand came back up over her mouth to stiffle the string of curses she had picked up from the outcast unit the girl's gaze said plenty about her opinion of the rogue. Ugh, why hadn't she brought her staff! It was easy to wack someone with that than having to keep shoving her elbows and feet into guts and lower regions! Though she did take the moment to stamp her one shoed foot strongly on the man's boot. And as he let out another string of curses Arima attempted to wiggle away and through the crowd towards Saraf once more...

Saraf watched as there was a sudden eruption of water, knocking people around, making it a bit easier for him to move forward. He even went as far as to step on and over one of them men to get passed the tangle of people that Arima had been able to knock over. It wasn't the fire that he'd suggested but maybe fire was a bit too over the top and violent? He supposed that her choice in spell was probably for the best, it kept them from being seen as the aggressors later... even if he felt the one that grabbed her should have been flash fried.

He started to close the gap between Arima and himself when the man grabbed her again, something that caused his temper to flare even more. Drawing his sword from its sheathe he continued forward, letting said sheathe fall to the floor for the moment. It was time to deal with this guy, to show him what happened to those that not only broke the laws when it came to stealing Matorians but what happened to those that messed with Arima specifically.

It was as Arima struggled again, stomping on the man's foot, before breaking away from him again. It was as he started to reach out toward her that final time that his sword arched forward toward the would be kidnapper. There was a flash of silver, a splash of red, and then a lot of screaming from the man whose hand he'd separated from the rest of him. Shifting his stance he leveled his weapon at the man with one hand, motioning him forward with the other, "Come on... let's see what else you have, thief. I don't mind parting you from other pieces of yourself before delivering you to the army for crimes against Lady Arima who is a member of said army. I'm sure they will love to have a nice, long chat with you."

As crimson crossed her vision Arima found herself being thrown forward towards Saraf. As she found herself slipping beneath his arm the woman wrapped her arms around his waist in exhaustion. Even though everything had seemed to go by lightning fast it had taken a bit out of her. If she didn't close her eyes now the room itself even seemed to be spinning.

"I'm sure they will." She added in towards the stunned man who was holding his wrist. Though it did seem a bit extreme...the woman wrinkled her nose before reaching down to grab said hand and place it against the stump, "I shouldn't so that you can never use that again to touch a lady, but...it seems a bit unsightly for us to hand you over like this..." As she made a face the healer did a quick work of the glaring man's injuries, thought she didn't do the best work considering. Still at least it looked attached enough by the time the guard had come in along with another healer to look after those injured during the brawl.

As she leaned against Saraf, Arima glanced up towards him with a forced smile. "I think I've experienced enough tavern excitement for one day. Perhaps we should retire for the night." Had it really been that exciting that she felt so drained? Surely a bit of water and some healing shouldn't completely wear her down....but she did tug at Saraf's arm, "Can we just leave? I think the situation has been explained well enough..." That and everything was rather wet with the amount of water she had pulled from the air...rather hard to get comfortable when surrounded by a bunch of booze and muck.

Though as she tried to get them out the door a rather petite woman, the one who had been helping to heal some injuries glanced towards Arima. "Miss, are you alright?"

IN confusion Arima tilted her head so that she could study the other healer, "I believe so...you don't need to worry."

"Tsk, still. You truly shouldn't be out in this sort of place in your condition, miss."

Arima frowned at the comment, "I'm sorry?"

"Your condition....surely you know?"

In confusion Arima glanced up towards Saraf. Did he know what the lady was referring1 too? Perhaps it was about her strange coloration? Was that it?

Saraf couldn't help but to think that Arima was being a little to easy going as far as the man had been. Still, it would show him that his own people could be a lot less forgiving then Arima was, meaning that he should really think twice when it came to hassling people. It might very well end up coming as a surprise who it was that wouldn't be forgiving when it came to such foolishness. Someone like Saraf knew what jerks some Obans could be, he was that jerk in his youth. It meant that he better understood what some might think and do, those that didn't quite understand the new laws that had been laid out for the Obans to follow during peace times.

Looking down at Arima as she came to lean against him he said, "Yeah... I think that we've had more then enough tavern time for now. Let's give it a few months before we go for another of these romps." Unless of course they went with the rest of the Outcast Unit, then nobody would mess with Arima because she'd be surrounded by those like Saraf. Giving a nod of his head he said, "I think it should be alright, there are more guards coming it seems, and the mess will be cleaned up by those that started it as opposed to us 'innocent' members of the army who were just enjoying some down time." He gave her a smile as he claimed to be innocent before starting toward the door with her.

A moment later though Arima was having an exchange that had Saraf first starring, then just going a bit agape looking like a fish out of water. Her... condition? It took him only a moment to really understand and he looked to her for confirmation. Only it didn't seem as though it clicked for Arima. Looking to the other healer he gave a nod of his head and said, "We know, I think my Arima is just a little shaken up by everything that happened. Not everyone is ready for their first brawl. My thanks and you won't see us here again for some time, if ever." If what the woman said was true then it would be the last place Arima wanted to be.

"Shall we go outside and talk, Arima?"
