Asi looked rather troubled, it seemed the oddly speaking male had gained some type of maturity through fatherhood, where as ol' rusty had not. "Amari, I do no think I be a goo' father either, bu' me firs' chilluns survived an' I be pre'y sure tha' my second lil'uns be survivin'. An' Iffin I can be a pop so can yeh." He nodded slowly, watching his friend.
Asi's ears flicked back a little, and he smirked. "Well a'leas' yeh a'ready know wha' yer kid shoul' no be doin'." He stated, indicating that no, the little golded ball of fure shouldn't be chatting up grandmother-aged females. " 'sides, I though' yeh wan'ed doll-face more 'en annee female yeh e'er me'?" This was just a guess, really. But Amari was really bent up over it, and Asi knew that Amari had liked her for a long time, even longer than he'd liked Ari.

His ears lowered and he shifted his great paws to recline slowly onto the ground. Did he really hate to admit that his old friend was probably right. The fact was that he did still love Maawio but he couldn't do anything about it now.
"How I feel about her doesn't matter. I can't go back, I've already told some of the others that I'm not returning. It'll make things easier in the end if I don't see her every day. The rest of the pride'll take care of her now." It hurt him to say it but he couldn't help but think it the truth. "I'm going to continue wandering until I find a new place I can call home."
He shook his head in frustration, wishing that the irritating flies would leave him alone and got to his paws restlessly. Then taking a few steps back he drew in a deep, rumbling breath.
"I can't go back Asi, it would be a mistake and it wouldn't be fair to Maawio."

How Asi wanted to bop Amari in the head and get the lion to start making sense! Or well, thinking well again. His right ear flicked and he did not reply to anything the other said for a long moment. "Yeh can stay 'ere, till yeh feel like yeh needa' go searchin' fer 'ome again." He said slowly, carefully. Actually the thoughts were more along the lines of.. Amari could stay here until he realized his homw WAS the pridelands, WAS with Maawio, WAS with his kid.
"Annee'ow, wanna go fer a dip?" He said, nonchallantly. With out waiting for an answer he rose and stretched, moving away and heading in a bee-line for the Kusini's largest watering hole, it'd be a good walk. He glanced behind him, seeing if Amari was coming. "Be goo' ter ge' the flies away, fer a bi'."

"Maybe I'll stay for a bit." He replied with a slight nod, "give me time to catch up with yah and meet these new kiddos of yours." He grinned, it'd be good to take his mind off of things for a while and cubs had a tendency to do that.
At Asi's suggestion he bristled a little but nodded again, "uhh yeah okay but I think I might just stay on dry land. It...takes ages to get my mane dry." If he thought he hid his fear of water well he was sadly mistaken. He wasn't a very good liar even though he believed himself to be, just as he thought himself quite a ladies lion - which he wasn't.
"Just lead the way buddy." He continued in a more light-hearted way, trotting after his friend.
