Ever watched it quietly, intently -- but as Zeke worked, he did at least start to relax, He would have been injured immediately, if he were going to be. Instaed, his eyes slid up onto Zeke's face, watching as he worked. Ever was rarely there while Zeke was actually doing something in the infirmary. It was a new side of him, in some ways. "What's my arm gonna look like under there, hm?"

He shrugged, not looking up as he worked. Concentration clearly still on the cast and the dremel as the disc cut through the fiberglass. "That depends on how long you've had it on, if you were in the sun a lot, how well you took care of it." It was probably going to be pretty gross, based on personal experience, but it wasn't anything a good washing wouldn't solve. "Is your shower working?" he glanced up, just a brief flicker of pale eyes.

"It was working, if by that you mean pouring water out onto the bathroom floor." He shook his head, pulling a face at Zeke, and rolled one shoulder. His attention sliding back down to his arm as the dremel came to a halt, its screeching quieted in the room. Experimentally, he flexed his fingers inside of the split cast. "I managed to get it mostly off."

Zeke actually stopped what he was doing to turn a horrified look up to Ever. "That's just really unfortunate timing," he'd complain, obviously disappointed. They'd only gotten to use it once, and now it was broken. Hopefully they could get it fixed without it turning into to much of a headache. "If you need help at all." It was left as an open offer. Attention dipping back to his work, he'd set the dremel aside so he could grip the cast on both sides. "Moment of truth." A little pull, and it split apart.

As it pulled away, Ever wiggled his fingers thoughtfully, head tipped to the side -- And then made a face. His arm, inside, had been there for far too long at this point. It was pale, even paler than the rest of him, and a little bit thin, but none of that was really a big deal. The problem was how bad it smelled; the cast soaked through at least once, and then lingering against his skin. His arm felt strange, a little light and a little heavy, but that didn't really bother him. "...oh. Is that why you were asking about my shower."

To his credit, Zeke managed to school his features long enough for him to take the cast, pitch it into the garbage beside the sink, and grab some disinfectant wipes from a container on the counter. There was only a slight wrinkling of the flesh along the bridge of his nose as he returned to hand them over, and a certain betraying tightness to his jaw, but nothing overt. "Yes, that was why I was asking about your shower." He chuckled as he sat back down again. "You didn't want to keep that, right?" His tumb jerked towards the garbage.

"Why would I..?" Ever had never been sentimental in that way, not for anything except the necklace that hung around his neck -- and now, maybe, the bracelets that had rattled around his wrists every day while he was away. He took the wipes to scrub down his arm as best he could, stretching out his fingers and shaking his head a bit. "I might need a few more of these."
