“You'd give up your prissy little hat just to keep a fellow Mauvian out on the street?”
Bob appeared genuinely surprised by this decision, having assumed the vain little jerk would have been far too protective of his own appearance to give up such a precious, matching accessory.
He blinked, now presented with a few different options. He could always snub him, ignore the cat and continue to try to check out the mansion...but that also meant dealing with the other Mauvian jumping on his case for doing so. He could toss the hat back as a truce and return to his garbage diving...but the little furball
deserved to be punished for
attacking him in the first place.
Pft. Overthinking was too much effort.
Furry shoulders shrugged as he turned his back to the smaller cat, hat still dangling from his fangs.
“Shame it's too small for my head. Guess I'll just have to stretch it out until it does, eh?”
If he thought the black cat would leave him be, he might have even tried putting it on his head, right then and there. Unfortunately, he didn't trust Theodore not to try any more stunts, so he simply kept it in his mouth as he made his way out the driveway, black top hat still in tow.
“Hit me up when you're feeling more friendly and I might be feeling more generous by then!” He called out over his shoulder, the humor in his voice hard to miss.
