Remarque seemed thoughtful with the answer but replied, “If someone who could hurt you or use your identity against you figured out who you were, your magic would protect you. But it’s a punishment as much as it is protection from them. You’d lose who you were, in a way. You’d get a magic that would conceal your civilian identity—permanently. You’d keep your memories, but no one would recognize you. You’d need a new name, a new identity. It’s like if you purified. So, keep your identity safe, if you can. But if, for whatever reason, something happens…you let me know, I’ll make sure you’re taken care of.”
He followed Kiuchi’s gaze first, and then followed him into the room.
“A crystal?” he questioned, only just catching the gleam. He wasn’t quite sure what it was from the angle he’d spotted it as, so he couldn’t tell what exactly the younger Senshi had found. He peered over the male’s shoulder to see what kind of crystal he had located. “What have you found?”

Nodding his head, glad for the information, he smiled at the other. "I'll keep it in mind - thank you." It meant a lot to him, knowing he was cared for, that people were looking out for him. He wasn't alone in this, or anything anymore, and he treasured it. He would do his best, or so he hoped, as a dark mirror senshi. He owed this court a lot, even though it had only been a short time he'd been a member, important things in his life had changed and in a positive way.
"This..." Whispering as he looked up at the other, at the same time his hand closed around the crystal and he pulled it out from under the debris it had been almost entirely hidden by. It was cool to the touch and pale in color.
As he brought it up higher he opened his hand so Remarque could see.
"Like the ones from that night...when everything was breaking. Does anyone know what they do? Others got them that night...different colors even. I don't know much on mirror space, not like you and others, but I assume these are strange things and not something we've seen before...Has anyone tried to figure them out - or can we?"

Remarque found himself unable to truly answer any of Kiuchi’s questions. “We haven’t figured out what they do. Yet. There were a few other colors I saw, but,” he shrugged and eyed Kiuchi’s as he held it up for Remarque to examine. “We’re working on trying to figure out what they do but to my knowledge, no one’s had any luck. I’ve done everything I can think of, shy of breaking mine, but nothing’s happened. I’ve heard of people finding them, but I haven’t seen any more, myself. You should hold onto that.”
He nodded his head towards the crystal. “And see if you can find out anything about it. I don’t think Mirrorspace started shooting these out at us for no reason, but that doesn’t always mean there’s a good reason why it happened. It would be a good idea to stay safe and be careful, too.”

Nodding as he stood up, he had forgotten Remarque had one himself. "I don't know much...but I doubt these are simply colored stones. I just hope they aren't something bad." Something useful would be nice, he'd appreciate that. But he didn't want to hope too much, that could backfire.
Hearing the other's words, which mirrored his own softly spoken ones he smiled. "I'll try...maybe something will trigger it...whatever it is." Maybe a fight...or some feeling or a need? "Have you tried anything with yours? We could make a checklist of sorts...expose them to different things and see if anything happens." So long as they didn't break them they should be fine to test them, right? Breaking them would be bad but testing them in various ways shouldn't harm them....though maybe, since they really didn't know what they were or what they did.

Remarque reached to rub the back of his neck as he made a mental list of everything he’d done. “Oh, I’ve tried a few things,” he admitted. Some of which were probably not as wise as he’d have liked to admit.
“I’ll get a list ready and give it to you when I see you at the shop.”
That was the easiest thing to do, he figured, and was probably more effective than making a list and hoping he could remember it.
“Do you want to keep looking or,” he eyed the crystal once more. “…Do you want to call it a night?”

Nodding his head, smiling up at the other. "That'll work. I'll see if I can't add to the list." Standing up, dusting off his pants as best he could, he clutched at both stone and plusie as he glanced around the room. "I wonder if if this room will clean itself up...it is a bit of a mess..." Or was it supposed to be this way? That was a possibility as well, at least he thought so.
"Mmm, we can explore some more if you want..." He didn't mind staying up a bit more, this sort almost a bit like a real life video game, as much as he liked to sleep and wouldn't mind going to sleep this wasn't bad at all. This was interesting and feeling the stone in his hand...that was worth it. It felt cool and nice, pleasant, this mirrorspace was interesting to him.

Truthfully, Remarque didn’t care if the room would repair itself. Mirrorspace was always changing, so if it didn’t fix itself he had no doubt that this room would just be lost in the void with all the other broken rooms he’d seen.
He seemed like he was fine with Kiuchi’s choice; he collected himself and moved back to the hallway they had come from. “Well, the night is young. We’ve got plenty left to do, then. Let’s see what else we can find.”

Moving to follow the other, out into the hallway, he tilted his head a bit. "Ok...lead the way." Since the other knew mirrorspace far better than he did. Hopefully the other could lead the way to something - anything really.
