Once they got home they went inside to rest and warm up for a while before they make their way to the water where Dark Chocolate dips the basket in to gather the water. He insisted on doing everything she did when she gathered the water and then the berries for them to share. Once the basket is full enough she replies, “That’s enough water for both of us and if we need more you know where to find it seeing as I already knew where it was. I’m not sure why we didn’t tell you about this body of water, though, it could have slipped our minds. Either way, next is the berry bushes where we’ll also only get as much as we need because we’ll know where it is if we run out and are still hungry.” As they make their way to the berry bush she keeps reminding herself that Dark Chocolate won’t be able to talk with her until he places the basket down. Which means Adenium has to remember to talk to him instead of ask questions or say anything that he won’t be able to resist answering. If he did that he’d drop the baskets and spill the water which would upset him because helping doesn’t mean messing it up. Of course, Adenium is positive that after enough nuzzling and sweet talking she could cheer him up enough to walk him back to the water to gather some more.

By the time they get to the berry bush he wonders what could be so distracting that she stopped talking. While he lowers the basket to the ground he realizes why he wanted her to talk more which was because he enjoys listening to her speak. Before lifting his head he replies, “Adenium, now that we are here at the berry bush will you talk once more? While we were walking I knew why you didn’t want to ask questions, though, I was hoping you’d find something to talk about. Now that we are here you can tell me whatever you know about this bush or what you think about the berries.” Lifting his head he stares at the berry bush in awe as the frozen berries would have been enough to spark his interest because he’s never seen anything like them before. Then to have the light of the day hit them at the right angle to make them sparkle almost takes his breath away as he realizes that he felt this way before. It’s not nearly as strong now because he felt this way when he stared into Adenium’s eyes as they spun around. Seeing her having the time of her life he filled with so much joy that he almost felt bad when they had to let go, though, he knew that they would meet again which made it almost joyful. If he had known they wouldn’t have seen each other any time soon he never would have let her go. Dark Chocolate would have held onto her until he was sure he wouldn’t have to lose her companionship for more than a few seconds or minutes at the most.

Right after he said that he seemed to get lost in his thoughts as he stares at the frozen berries. Moving her head closer she gently nuzzles him to slowly bring him out of his thoughts before she replies, “The same reason I stopped talking was the same reason you stopped talking which is we got lost in our thoughts. I’m not sure what you were thinking about, though, I know that I was thinking about not making you drop the basket full of water. Then I started to think about how I would comfort you if that did happen and how I would walk with you back to get more.” Looking over the frozen berries she can only imagine what Dark Chocolate might have been thinking about. Seeing as if he’s always on her mind she feels like she’s also always on his mind. Before she loses herself in her thoughts she reaches up to pick the first berry and as she turns to gently place it into the water she coos, “I’ve never seen frozen berries before today so this is something we can both cherish because I wasn’t able to let it all sink in when I came here earlier. Even though I had to slowly gather them so I wouldn’t drop them I was still thinking about you because I was picking them for us. Which means I was still able to spend some of my time thinking about them and how lovely they looked with the ice surrounding them and the light shining on them. Now that I’ve seen you in a different light so to speak I haven't been able to get you off my mind, though, why would I want to?” Before he can reply she places the frozen berry in the water then turns her attention to picking another one because they will need a nice amount before they can go home.

As Dark Chocolate watches her his mind seems to spin with everything that she just told him. Before he becomes overwhelmed he begins to pick the frozen berries one by one because if Adenium doesn’t want to drop them then neither does he. While time passes it feels like it begins to stretch the longer he doesn’t respond to her so he finally place a berry into the water before looking at Adenium, “You’ve taken my breath away and for a while I had to do something before my mind spun too quickly or I would have dropped everything. Knowing you didn’t have to tell me any of that I feel the need to tell you that I’ve felt the same way about you where I can’t stop thinking about you. If I could stop thinking about you I wouldn’t because you are all I ever want to think about for a few days, months, and or one year. Seeing as by then we would have become so comfortable with each other that we could finally think about something without it leading to the other. It’s wonderful to think about someone else as much as we do, though, we would never want to turn it into any sort of obsession. Once we are comfortable enough with each other things will settle down seeing as nothing will completely be the same because we didn’t love each other before today.” Realizing that he didn’t really explain what he was thinking he blushes while she stares at him her eyes filled with love and understanding. “I was thinking about how I felt when I saw the frozen berries while the light was hitting them at a certain angle and how I felt like that before. Though, it was so much stronger because it was when I was staring into your eyes as we spun around and how wonderful it felt. I also thought that if I was holding onto you and knew that if I let you go I wouldn't see you anytime soon such as hours or even days I wouldn’t let you go. No matter what happened I would hold onto you until I knew that I wouldn’t see you for seconds or minutes at the most.”

While taking everything in Adenium continues to pick the frozen berries until they have enough to share for a few hours. Once she places the lid on the basket they make their way home to let things unwind before they tighten any further. With everything they’ve said Adenium feels like it’s beginning to emotionally drain her which must mean that the same thing is happening to Dark Chocolate. Causing her mind to go back to the day that he first came out of his box and he emotionally overwhelmed himself. Not wishing that to happen again they walk in silence all the way to their home and even once inside seeing as neither of them feels strong enough to continue to talk about such strong emotions for another minute. Now that they know so much about how they fell about each other they realize that it’s time to settle down enough to rest while the berries defrost. Before long they step onto the moss while Adenium hurries to her nest bed Dark Chocolate slowly walks after her while she turns around to watch him. Seeing as he knows that he can go as slow or fast as he wants to because the lid will keep the water and froze berries in the basket. She didn’t tell Dark Chocolate about that, though, she never really got the chance because she didn’t put the lid back on until after they picked the berries. Which means she forgot to put the lid on after he gathered the water which means she never got around to explaining that he could go as fast if he wanted to. Though, her thoughts are mostly on the fact that she wouldn’t have thought what she did if she had place the lid on so it’s not really a bad thing that she did forget.

After placing the basket down in front of Adenium’s nest bed he walks around her left side so he can lay against her right side. Having said so much in a short amount of time he understands that Adenium needs a rest from the wonderful, though, emotionally draining conversations. While laying his head down he almost wordlessly tries to tell her that he wouldn’t mind if she laid her head on his because he wants her to be as comfortable as possible. Seeing as they will need their energy for when they go out tomorrow to possibly continue what they started today at the lake. Having used up so much energy even if they do regain enough it’ll only be enough so they are better off staying right where they are unless they need more to eat or drink. Which will probably be one of few reasons that they will leave their home for the remainder of the day. Before his thoughts get too deep Adenium lowers her head while he almost coos like a bird knowing they will both be falling asleep soon. If he was the only one that was going to fall asleep he’d feel bad for Adenium because she’d have no one to talk with if she did gain enough energy to talk with someone. As his eyelids close his thoughts slowly fade into dreams of frozen berries floating and slowly defrosting in water.

When Adenium wakes up she looks to the entrance to see if it’s still the same day and when she sees it’s only just getting dark out that it’s finally night. Remembering that her head is resting on Dark Chocolate’s she realizes that she’ll probably wake him when she lifts her head. After everything Dark Chocolate has done for her she almost feels bad knowing that she’s going to wake him up. That is until she realizes that if she’s hungry and thirsty than Dark Chocolate might also be hungry and thirsty so waking him up would be a good thing. As she lifts her head the warmth goes with her which causes him to move around a bit before fully waking up to look around. When Adenium coos, “I just woke up not too long ago and wanted to get up to get something to eat and drink. When I realized that the instant I lifted my head from your head the heat coming off my head would leave and that would cause you to wake up. Now that we are both awake I want you to get your fill before I do because you already let me get my fill twice today. So I wanted the chance to offer you the chance to eat and drink first because it would only be fair if we take turns. That way we can share every responsibility that we possibly can so that we don’t accidentally hurt the others feelings. Seeing as I want the chance to help you as often as you’ve helped me.” While nuzzling Dark Chocolate she gently nudges him out of her nest bed because the sooner he realizes that she’s not leaving her bed anytime soon the sooner he’ll go eat and drink.

As Adenium gently nudges him Dark Chocolate gets up while replying, “Alright, I’m getting up seeing as the berries should be defrosted by now and by now the water should have warmed up enough. Seeing as I won’t refuse your offer I’ll eat enough of the berries and drink enough of the water because I don’t plan on staying up too much longer. After the wonderful and wonderfully emotionally day we’ve had I think it’ll be best if we sleep as much as possible in case we want to go out tomorrow.” Having placed the basket close enough to Adenium’s nest bed it only took him a few steps before he’s standing in front of the basket. As he removes the lid he looks over at Adenium to coo like she almost always does, “So much has changed and I’m still getting used to everything so it means a lot to me that you haven’t lost your temper with me. Realizing how I’m been acting I would understand if you were a bit upset with me because you want to help when you can. Which means if I keep helping you, well, you won’t be able to help me and I must confess that I enjoy being helped. So I guess I got carried away knowing how well it feels to be helped I wanted to help you more than normal. I’ll normally take the time to make sure someone wants my help while with you I supposed I caught you off guard. By the time you realized that you wanted to help me it was too late so next time I ask to help you I’ll also remember to ask you something like unless you want to help me to give you a chance to pick whether you want help or you want to help me.” Having hopefully cleared everything up he turns to get his fill of the wonderfully juicy berries while every so often drinking the crystal clear water.

While sitting up she coos, “You’re right, we should get as much sleep as we can because we didn’t get as much done as we wanted to today. There are still so many snow games for us to play and so many wonderful things to see along the path. Which reminds me that it’s been snowing a lot at night from last night to tonight, yet, it’s snowing a lot more tonight. Should we be worried about the snow pilling up too much on certain things such as tree branches? Normally if a storm is strong enough it’ll break tree branches off and then send them flying in all direction. Which means if something is strong enough it could easily break even the strongest of branches. Once enough snow piles onto a branch it could either fall off which would be dangerous if you factor where it’s falling form and how much it weighs. Then there is the possibility of the branch breaking which will either weigh as much as the snow and or more. Either way, a branch can cause a number of problems because of the way it falls and I don’t want to imagine when it’d be like to be hit by the broken end of a branch. While snow with a layer of ice can be just as dangerous as a branch if not more dangerous depending on how it hits someone.” Looking over at Dark Chocolate she blushes a bit, “I know that I don’t normally talk about such unpleasant things, though, if we are going to be safe while walking on the path we need to know what to watch out for. While knowing just how dreadful something could be should be enough to keep us alert while we are outside because anything can happen.” Once Dark Chocolate walks towards Adenium’s nest bed she walks over to the basket to eat and drink while he thinks about what she said. Tonight is turning out to be rather interesting, though, she’s more than ready to fall into a deep sleep once they are finished talking.

Turning around to face Adenium he lays down as he realizes what they could do to make sure the path is safe enough for them to walk on. While he waits for Adenium to finish eating and drinking he’s able to organize his thoughts well enough to explain what he’s come up with. So when Adenium turns to him he smiles, “We’ll just need to take the time to shake every single tree until all of the snow in on the ground which will make the trees safe to walk under. While it’ll possibly make the path safer as well because the more snow on the ground the less likely it will freeze over? Or at least I think that it won’t be able to freeze over if the snow covers it like a blanket if it rains. Seeing as the rain would freeze anything it lands on so the top of the snow would be frozen over. If the snow piles were left on the tree branches they would become rather dangerous for any creature walking under them. At least with the top layer of the snow frozen we would be able to find a safe way to break it so we could get where we need to go. Such as the location with our water supplies as well as the berry bush or should I say berry bushes because there is more than one there. Which is a good thing because if there was only that one we would run out of berries a little too quickly.”

Adenium nod her head a few times to show Dark Chocolate that she understand and that she agrees with him. By the time she gets to her nest bed she curls up to Dark Chocolate as she wonders what would happen if they ran out of berries. Seeing as there must be other berry bushes around here somewhere s it’d be a good idea to look around for more because they should always be prepared and have some sort of a backup just in case. As her thoughts deepen Dark Chocolate curls up around her while gently wiggling his head under hers causing her to giggle a bit. Brining her out of her thoughts enough to realize that there must be some reason he wants his head to be under hers. Of course, the only thing she can think of is if someone came into their home without their knowing. That way if anything where to happen he would be able to move her head out of the way in time to save her. Causing her to wonder what would happen to him for saving while she begins to fall into a deep sleep. Having that as her last thought caused her to have horrible nightmares about Dark Chocolate being badly injured if not killed.

Morning of December the 17th.
Once Dark Chocolate wakes up he waits until he’s fully awake before he gently moves Adenium’s head off of his. As he looks at her face he realizes that something is wrong so he sweetly and softly coos to her like a bird to gradually calm her before he walks away to finish the berries and water. Knowing full well that she needs to sleep in this morning so she can make up for not having a restful night’s sleep last night. Having woken much earlier than normal he smiles brightly knowing that by the time she wakes up she will be well rested so they can enjoy today to the fullest. Knowing that he doesn’t want to over help Adenium he also knows that whoever wakes up first is more than welcome to get breakfast for whoever is still asleep. While during the day they can help each other because practice makes perfect as far as he knows. Before long he’s finished his breakfast and just retuning with Adenium’s when he realizes that she’s still asleep which works out well. After placing the basket in basically the same area he carefully get back into her nest bed so that he can sleep for a while longer. Now that Adenium’s breakfast is warming up he has nothing else to do with his time. While he gradually falls asleep his thoughts go to Hiroshi Joji because he moved out last night to give them their own space which does make sense. It’ll give them time to bond with each other without anyone else around so they are able to get used to each other. Of course, Dark Chocolate is sure that Hiroshi Joji moved into Alora’s home because he doesn’t know when they might want to start a Family of their own. Having talked about so many things they have yet to bring that up which means neither of them is ready to start their Family just yet.

After a while the scent of sweet berries fills her nostrils enough to wake her up and as her eyelids flutter open she smiles as she lifts her head from Dark Chocolate’s. While he lifts his head to look into her eyes she smiles brightly, “Good morning Dark Chocolate, and thank you so much for getting breakfast for me when you woke up. It was very thoughtful of you seeing as I might never wake up before you if you wake up before there is any light outside. Being able to smell the berries means that they must have been floating in the water for a while to become warm enough for me to be able to smell them. When they are covered in ice there is no way I can smell how sweet they are or even where to find them if I had to.” Slowly getting up she stretches for a while before she walks up to the basket where she finds that he remembered to put the lid on. Realizing that the sooner he got back the sooner he could curl up against her to fall asleep once more which is something she would do if she woke up in time. After taking the lid off the smell of the berries floats all around her making her wonder how the water must taste if they scent is this strong. Feeling like she’s forgetting to say something she decides to think while she has her breakfast in the hopes of remembering what it is that she’s forgetting. By the time she finishes she remembers so when she turns to face Dark Chocolate she coos, “Thank you ever so much for letting me sleep in as long as I did because it really was sweet of you to do.”

Walking over to Adenium he nuzzles her a few times and decides that it’ll be safe enough to kiss the right side of her face because she has kissed the left side of his face not too long ago. Even though they still haven’t known each other very long it’s good to know that Adenium is now comfortable enough to kiss him and to be kissed. Seeing as after he kissed her she blushed and giggles a bit before he coos, “Good morning Adenium, and your welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed the time you spent sleeping in because you seemed to be troubled for some reason. I don’t need to know why because I want to today to go well and so far it has because you enjoyed breakfast more this morning than yesterday because the berries warmed up enough.” Turning his attention to the outside he says, “It looks nice enough out there, though, if we want to get around to playing any sort of snow games we better leave soon just in case. We never know when there might be a storm so it’ll be best if we head out as soon as possible because there are a lot of paths. If we want to clear one path than maybe we should clear other paths as well? I’m just asking because we both enjoy and or love helping others while we’ll still be able to have a fun time somehow.” Once Adenium walks over to him they walk side by side enjoying each other’s as they make their way to the start of the path that leads to all others in that area.

By the time they arrive at the first tree Adenium coos, “I have an idea of how to get the snow off the trees while making it into a sort of snow game that we can play for until we get tried. We can shake the trees, run away so the snow doesn’t hit us, and then continue until we run out of energy. Seeing as there is no way we’ll run out of trees before we run out of energy while we won’t shake every tree. Only the trees that the paths are being used so we’ll be able to walk on half of the paths because Ruby, Alora, and Hiroshi Joji can handle the rest. When we return I can talk with them about what we are doing because I am sure they will help now that they have more time. Normally they spend a while tending to the flower fields or the garden, though, with most of the flowers and garden dead they need something to do to fill that time. Even if they can fill their time fun things to do, well, everything can become boring if you work on it too long and too often.” Without waiting for Dark Chocolate she hurries to the closet tree to show him how she thinks it will work because she’s not sure. It’s always best to test something out just in case it doesn’t work how you think it will which wouldn’t be good in this situation. That way if anything can happen Dark Chocolate can rush in to help her because he’ll be able to see if she needs help as she rushes away from the tree. After she shakes the tree she hurries away as Dark Chocolate cheers because everything went well because nothing bad happened.
