The portals were down so she didn't know what else she really expected. "Sure. Cafeteria." she said, being careful not to sound disappointed because she honestly wasn't really. "Soda would be just fine with me." Fancy actual food could come later.
"I'd be fine with that, I like interior design type things. I'm quite picky. With everything except potential roommates I guess."

"Eh? With you, I'd think you'd be picky about that too..." Sodas were a luxury too, after a fashion, and he locked up his room and stooped by a powered down machine in the hall to pry at the back paneling.
"But, thanks. I'm glad it's okay with you. I'd like anything you would put up. A lot of my collectibles are ruined, anyway."
After some prying and tinkering, the machine fizzed briefly to life, the lights flickering on eerily as Barty went to put a friendly, experimental coin in the machine.
He ordered what he knew was Sara's favorite, and the soda dropped with a satisfying plunk.
