"This a mirror twin or a come at the same time twin?" she asked, cocking her head. If there were two guys like this roaming around.. a little rough around the edges, but that wasn't a bad thing~ "Ain't no time like the present ta make a new understandin' friend," she purred with a smile. Faamy's brow knit the slightest bit, but for once decided to let the inquiry drop. She wanted desperately to ask what it was that had happened in his past and took a deep breath to stop herself. She got the feeling that this wasn't the time to push. "Depends what I'm lookin' fer, I s'ppose," she said, tilting her head back to follow the man's gaze. "I grew up raisin' sail scales, and I got me Fermata here," she rubbed her cheek against the little perzi's head, "so animals are good on me. People.. people give ya conversation. They got stories an' tales, skills ta talk about an' trades ta see." Glancing to the oud in her hands, still spinning the lively tune, her smile brightened. "I guess I more like anyone who likes music. Both animals an' people respond ta sounds, the vibrations an' tones, so I like 'em all."

"A twin at the same time, we look quite a bit different actually." Chandra looked very much the part of his job class he thought to himself idly. Very much the mage. Giving a smile he said, "I don't mind trying to make new friends so long as they can deal with my other friends." "Ahhh, sailscales? Those are interesting little guys. I haven't really had a chance to go to Sauti or Zena yet to look for any new beasts but I did hear word of one I'm interested in. Have you heard anything about chiavi in your travels? I'm waiting for a friend to get back from Oba before I go to try to catch one of them. I was thinking of inviting him along to try to catch one too since he has almost as many beasts as I do." Chatting about beasts, that was something that Aysun seemed to excel at. As she mentioned the up sides to people he gave a slow nod, "I have to admit people are far better at conversation... but beasts will answer in their own ways. A shame it's not as clear as with people most days."

His other friends? Her brow cocked slightly and she leaned to peer over at Maw. "Ya mean friends like that big guy?" she asked with a little smirk. She probably would not share their company long enough to earn such an animal's trust. Such was the life of a traveling bard though. "They're okay, I s'ppose," she said with a shrug. Of course, she had been made to watch the creatures, which wasn't quite the recipe for a close bond. "Chiavi?" Faamy cocked her head again, lips pressing slightly. "I think I heard some talk, but no idea what 'r where they'd be." After a pause, Faamy laughed lightly. "Heck, half the time, people ain't so easy ta understand, either!"

"Maw and my Sunshine both. The other of which is way up there." He pointed up toward the sky at the orange kinfa that was overhead, likely watching them from her high vantage point. He looked back to Faamy once more and gave her a smile, "Only okay? They always seemed like they would be fun to play with since they can glide around. I haven't really had to chance to see one up close though." A shame that. His eyes went for a moment to the perzi that the girl had with her, finding a lot of interest in the little beast as it was cute little thing. After a thoughtful moment he lifted a hand, holding in front of the little beast, "This one is a cutie. Are they fun to raise?" he asked before her mention of hearing talk about the Chiavi but didn't know the whats or wheres about them. He nodded his head and said, "All I know of them thus far is that they are found in Zena and are good sized avians. Other then that I don't know much myself." Giving a nod at her comment he said, "Yeah, they definitely aren't easy to read. A shame too or else maybe I'd find them easy to spend time with." At least this woman was kind and easy to deal with. Far easier to deal with then a lot of those that Aysun had crossed paths with.

Looking up at the indicated kinfa again, Faamy had to smile. Such a sweet name for an avian. "The both o' 'em have such fittin' names," she approved. Brow rising slightly, she chuckled and shrugged. "Eh, might be I just got used ta being 'round 'em, so they ain't much ta me. ..Besides, it was a farm. Can't let yerself get too close ta a farm critter." That had certainly been a downside that she had taken too long to get used to as a youngling. Peeking to the perzi, she smiled again and nodded. "This here's Fermata. So far, he's been a good'un ta raise. A bit persnickety maybe. My first one though, so dunno if he's normal 'r not." Fermata peered at the extended hand and gave it a sniff. After a short consideration, he grumbled and turned his face away. Faamy snorted. "Don't take it personal. Like I said; persnickety bugger. Gotta be bribed with food, most times."

"Ahhh, I see." Aysun said, giving the slightest wince at the idea of the sailscales being 'farm animals' since he could guess what that would mean. Likely that they were either being raised for meat or their skins, either way it wasn't something he wanted to think of in detail. Brushing the thoughts aside he turned his attention back to the bard instead, finding her far, far more interesting what his mind had been spiraling around for a moment there. "Fermata? Cute." As the feline gave him a sniff before turning away Aysun actually laughed, unable to help it, "He's like a lot of people I've met before... a lot of beasts too." Digging into the pouch at his side he got out a treat, holding it up for Faamy to see first, "If it's alright with you? It's made of dried aldabuk meat. I give it to all of mine during their training and just when they are being cute." The moment the treat came into view it had Maw stepping closer to Aysun, bumping into him to show he wanted one of them too. Aysun got a second treat out, giving it over to Maw, before turning back to the bard and feline once more.

Spotting the wince, Faamy gave Aysun a sympathetic smile. She probably could have left out the part about what kind of stock it was she had helped raise. Hopefully, it wouldn't deter his companionship... Which it didn't seem to, thankfully! "Ah, go righ' ahead!" She paused her tune long enough to raise a hand and scratch at Fermata's head. "Hey, the nice man has a treat fer ya." The scritch got the perzi's head to turn, but it was seeing maw get a snack that got his attention. His ears perked and head lifted to sniff the air. When the man turned back with the treat held out, Fermata hesitated for just a moment before shifting to brace his front paws on his owner's chest, stretching his neck out to sniff for the treat. "Ye're such a little glutton," Faamy snorted, letting her hands fall back to playing the music.

Aysun held the piece of dried meat closer to the perzi that seemed to be quite interested in it. It was something that made him chuckle a bit since the kitty had gone from snubbing him to being quite interested. Such was the power of food he supposed. After the kitty took the treat from his hand he moved to get another treat, giving it over to Maw who was nudging against his shoulder with his head. "Here you go you big baby." He said, scratching Maw under the chin in a gentle manner, "I will need to give some to Sunshine too. Once we cross the border into Tale I will call her down. You can meet her then if you'd like, Faamy." After that offer he fell quiet, walking next to her, with Maw on his other side, head bobbing along with the music that she was making. After a time he said, "You really are quite talented." Music was something he could enjoy but not something he really understood himself.

Once he had the treat, Fermata smacking happily on his little snack, making Faamy peer over with an exasperated look. "Must ye chew tha' right next ta my ear?" Looking up at the graceful kinfa again, she smiled brightly. "I'd be delighted ta meet yer feathery friend up there." Comfortable with the quiet that had grown, rather happy to see her music being enjoyed. The compliment was a delight to hear though, and her smile brightened. "Thank ya much!" Glancing to her instrument, she smiled with affection. "Took me long 'nough ta decide ta do this official. Now.. can't see anythin' but an instrument in my hands." Looking back at the hybrid and his critters, she smiled lightly. "When didja know animals were yer life?"

Aysun gave a smile and a nod, "I will call her down when we get away from the twisted trees. Now that she's figured out how to fly she actually likes to be up in the air. You wouldn't believe how she was when she was younger though." Something that had him laughing just thinking about it. As she told him that her choice was one that took a while to pick he gave a smile, "It seems like it was a good choice for you then." That she couldn't imagine anything else but an instrument in her hand was telling, that she was meant for such a path. When she asked him he gave a laugh, "I knew I wanted to work with animals since I was a little kid and my father bought me a menk. I found it so fascinating and ended up with several more pets after that... and then even more after that." He gave a thoughtful sound before he said, "Now picking up a spear, deciding on a class, that took me forever to figure out. I definitely didn't take up the path most though I might."

Glancing up, Faamy gave a warm smile. "I'm sure it was a bit scary ta the li'le dear," she mused. "Scary, an' frustra'in'. Startin' out is scary, but ye know ya gotta be up there." She looked back to the man and chuckled lightly. "Always love them life-long dream tales. Ye just know in yer heart what ya need." She cocked her head slightly. "What path was they expectin'?" Meanwhile, Fermata had finished his little snack and was licking his chops happily. With a light purr, the small feline crossed Faamy's shoulders and hopped over onto Aysun's, and then pressed a paw to Aysun's cheek. At first, Faamy just gawked. Then, she laughed. "Tha' musta been some treat ya had. He's never climbed anyone b'fore. Fermy, don't be such a little bugger."

Aysun nodded his head, "Part that and part... confusion on her part? She grew up alongside another beast of mine called Pembe who is a flightless bird called a scorra. I think she thought she was the same sort of bird as he was so she was happy just walking around. It was so cute." He spoke in a fond manner, obviously loving his 'baby' bird so much. Giving a smile he said, "Some people thought I'd follow the path of a beast master but... I ended up preferring the idea of becoming a rider though. Getting to travel with the beasts i have and meeting new ones, it really appealed to me." As he said that the kitty jumped onto shoulder, something that made him smile, "Hey there, kitten. Looking for more treats? That is totally up to your owner." He didn't want to go against the desires of the perzi's owner after all. "I will take it as a compliment for your little friend since I make the treats myself." He said as he lifted a hand up to pet the perzi in an affectionate manner.

Faamy chuckled lightly at the thought. "I can see tha' bein' a bit confusin' ta the little one." Babies grew from watching the example of their elders, after all. She grinned and gave a short string of victorious sounding chords. "If it be whatchya love, ain't nothin' strange about the choice," she mused while her eyes narrowed at her perzi. "Weeell... ain't often he's friendly like this. I'll let it go this time. Ye can give 'im however much ya want." Fermata's ears perked as the hand came close, and he sniffed at it curiously in search of the treat; even giving the fingertips a firm but harmless n** to show what he wanted.

"She was really good at bumming rides when she got tired too, pretty funny seeing a little Kinfa riding around on a janarim's back." Something that made him chuckle just thinking about it. She rarely did so anymore since she was so big and Maw wasn't as prone to letting her hitch a ride these days. Reaching into his pocket Aysun got out another of the treats, tearing it into pieces so that he could hand it to the perzi piece by piece so that it would appear as though he was getting more then he actually was. Giving a smile he said, "He's a cutie. Knows what he wants too." And nipped to make sure that he got what he wanted he thought to himself giving a bit of a chuckle. Looking over at Faamy he gave a smile and said, "I should try to get one of these guys myself. They're so cute!" Even after the n** he couldn't help but to love the little kitty. Not only did he get to play with the perzi he also had his owner to chat with as well. It was a pretty lucky day if you asked him.

Fermata began to purr as each bite was fed, indeed taking in the illusion that he was getting more than just one extra treat. His tongue flicked out to get every taste from the fingers spoiling him, paws kneading lightly at the shoulder he stood on. Imagining a young orange kinfa on the back of the janarim beast earned a delighted laugh from Faamy. "Wish I'da been 'round ta see that!" she mused. Watching Fermata with amusement, she chuckled and nodded in agreement. "I sure like havin' him around. A present from a dear friend, he was. I ain't met many, but they seem ta be good ta those who strike their fancy."
