She couldn't even deny it. It was true, and she wished it wasn't. For her sake, and for his. If she could have just lied to him about her feelings for him all this time.. Ah well. "That last one sounds about right. I bet Dorothy's a work of the Horsemen. Thing is, she's clearly tech. And last I recall, the Horsemen aren't real great with tech. Which begs the question, if the bad guys are doing this, then who's-" She bit down on both of her lips, and put the paper down. Then she took his hand, and gave him a very fake smile. "Let's go back to my place, okay? For more privacy." She tried to make that sound sexy.. but he would always know the difference.

He forced the frown away by trying to do a suggestive waggle of his brows. Luckily, this motion looked fluid on Bjorn's handsome face. "Just couldn't wait, huh?" he said, trying to help with the act. Humans, horsemen, the reaction was the same when a couple got sappy or romantic: the techs made faces and turned away. Dawson took the time to fold up the survey and stick it in his pocket. He was reminded, of all things, about a conversation they had had over Twitter a long time ago, and added, "You gotta make sure these papers are properly filed, right?"

She wanted to make fun of those waggling eyebrows, except damnit, this ******** horseman was really good looking, and he only managed to make her flush. She pursed her lips and brushed it off, chuckling at his reminder of their little game of euphemisms. "I'm not a patient girl, but I make sure the job gets done right. You know that." She hopped off from where she was sitting and held her arms up. "Carry me back to our room?" She asked, sweet enough to rot a tooth. Yes, by this time the technicians had given them a wide berth. Just the way she liked it.

"Of course." He picked her up like a gentleman, allowing himself the pleasure of for once being the one who wasn't blushing like a high schooler at prom, and grinned. "A place for everything, and everything in its place." Okay, so good looks could only take him so far...Nonetheless, Dawson appeared doting until they were out of the white room (well, maybe it wasn't just for appearances), after which he let out the rest of his breath in a sigh of relief. "Does it weird you out?" he had to ask now that they were in the clear. "Bein' all bones n' bandages? Feel any different?"

"I'm getting used to it." She coo'd out, having lounged on him so thoroughly since she weighed next to nothing that she felt like she was his blanket. "It's strange, I know there's nothing there but there is something. It feels like, you know when you get attacked and it hits your barrier instead of you? But you still feel the pressure, like there's something there? It feels like I'm full of nothing but that, and it holds me firm like a balloon. Look." She, of course, had to use her breasts to make an example of this, poking and prodding them to watch them respond exactly the way a balloon would. "So I feel like I'm here, just.. lighter. And I don't really feel anything inside, so it's not so different. How about you? How do you feel being ripped as fuuuuck?" She cackled, her hand now poking at his abdomen over and over. And feeling it up. She's only human.

Dawson was a gentleman: the moment Maebe started fondling her chest, he immediately looked up and away and coughed a few laughs. "Uh, yeah, yeah I bet that's...ahah...balloon tits..." So much for not getting flustered. It didn't help that she was tickling him with every brush up his abs. "Me, uh...I guess everthin' feels easier?" Holding Maebe or America wasn't exactly the best example, though, so Dawson decided to show off just a teensy bit. In the narrow corridor, he suddenly jumped and pushed a foot off the wall, bouncing between both sides with seemingly little effort, until he finally finished at the end with a thud. "Well, uh, I guess hunters can do that too," he admitted, "but I couldn't've, so. S'weird, like, I feel like a model n' someone's gonna shout orders at me for poses any minute."

Despite not actually being surprised that Dawson had the ability to do something that impressive in this body, she still clung to him tight and sucked in a sharp breath when he bounced from one side to the other. When he landed, she stared up at him with wide eyes. "That's a neat trick." She murmured, her mind already remembering the 'neat tricks' she could do in this body, and immediately pushing them away. She wasn't going to show Dawson how she could crawl like a crab. That was disgusting, and not sexy like what he'd done. "I wonder how far you can jump? Or how - actually, no, wait, I can already feel myself getting distracted thinking about all the things you can do. Let's get back to the room so I can tell you what's on my mind."

He almost said something to the effect of wait isn't going to the bedroom a bad idea if you just said, but then decided shut up, self, don't point it out was good enough. Man, his mind was abuzz today. He blamed his dream body for being a stupid distraction. "Yes'm." Back to the room they went."You puttin' pieces together?" he asked as he closed the door behind him with his foot. Dawson felt more like he was in an ocean with an inner tube.

"I don't know if I am, but I have a theory, I guess?" She was hesitant to let him go, or even get out of his arms. God, it still felt so good in them, no matter what body he held her in. "I realized that they've got to be using some kind of help. Like, techie help. And I don't know anybody more techie and more bad guy than those ******** who keep trying to attack Lucky. Remember them? They attacked Deus a while back, too. With their helicopter and s**t." And they almost killed her, twice, but hey, details. "It's O." She muttered, her voice dripping with venom. "It's got to be."

Dawson frowned in thought and decided it was best if he sat down. The bed creaked. "Okay. I don't think I was there for that," he said levelly. "O is like...Uh, gimme a refresher just in case."

"I wish I could tell you everything but I'm not really clued in on the exact reason why there's an organization like this, but. Basically, they seem like anti-hunters. Like sometimes I feel like they used to be Hunters, because of the way they dress and the way they fight? But I don't have any proof. It's just wild speculation at this point. They're vicious, though. And cruel. They do things.. things that will ******** with your mind." She could still see Otto's fist. Punching her face in, over, and over, and over- And then there was nothing to see. For a good, long time. "First time I ever had any experience with them was a while back, with Lucky. I just thought it was some weird rogue group trying to pull some s**t. But sometimes, it feels a lot more organized. I don't have any proof that they're behind a bunch of the stuff we go through around here, but that doesn't make my spidey senses tingle any less." She frowned, rubbing her cheek with one hand. "I'm sorry. I wish I could be more helpful. Maybe it would get us out of this."

"No, no," Dawson told her. "You're good, honey. I don't even know what I should 'bout them, or anythin'. Sometimes I feel like I got my head in the dirt and I'm not even trying." Maybe speculation would help, get the words out of their heads. It usually helped him anyway to talk. "'Cept, if it's anti hunters who used t'be hunters, why would they helped our enemies? They hate us that much?"

"That's the thing. They've tried to get us to kill ourselves before. I don't know what their deal is, but yes. I think they're exactly desperate enough to turn to our mutual enemy to try and ******** us over. Which, by the way, just sounds like the typical plot to a movie where the sub-villain eventually gets dicked over by their overlord, am I right? Personally, I don't think they've thought this through." She hesitated, and gave him a guilty look. "If it even is them. And not some weird, ancient power that I can't wrap my mind around, which forces me to end up blaming us humans just to try and give a name to my enemy." She pulled a strand of hair into her mouth, and chewed. A new nervous habit. "I don't know, Dawson. I feel lost, and I hate when someone else has a hold on the reins of my life like this."

"Mm..." His arms curled about her tighter, as if that somehow staved off those unknown forces. And then he immediately loosened when he felt Maebe's body deflate under the pressure. "Those Ancient things," Dawson said thoughtfully, "they gotta be powered by us, though, right? Those memories are ours. Even the alt us ones." He lost his train of thought when something else occurred to him. "Wait, the big crystal. I remember the techs said it used to be green before it turned red. So, Creation n' Destruction, right? Is anyone affiliated with those?"

"It does all seem to be tied up to memories again.Of all the things in this world I could have expected to be turned into fuel, I can honestly say - memories was the last thing I would ever have expected." She wished she had any more ideas. For a second, she'd felt a little smart for thinking of something, anything. Now she was just back to square one. "You've got me. I have no idea what the deal is with Creation and Destruction and all that jazz." Her eyes fluttered guiltily for a second, before she shrugged, trying to act like her own ignorance wasn't getting to her. "Sorry."
