K Sue looks excitedly at the choice of canteens and picks the black one with pretty rainbow colors. Happy with her choice, K sue pulls the strap over her shoulder so she wont lose or drop it. Spoting Coco, K Sue skips over to wait with her for Aben to find them. "Hi hi Coco. Look which canteen I picked?" K Sue loved her choice and couldn't help but show her new friend how pretty is looked.

Mornings came too early. Vega had been so excited that it was hard to sleep last night. If it hasn't been for his familiar, Nova, constantly running over his face this morning, he may have gone right back to bed. He finally sat up with a yawn, scratching at his scraggly hair. Ok. First thing's first. He grabbed his brush to fix his morning hair. When he finished doing that, he felt a little more alive and got out of bed to get dressed. "Leto... come on." He decided to make sure his new friend was also getting up. He didn't know who else was in the room. As he puttered around, he saw another junior and a freshling were in the room as well. He gave them both sleepy waves before grabbing breakfast. He made sure his bag had everything he'd need. A light, some extra batteries, the rations they'd been given, a little stash of food for Nova, and a bunch of snacks just in case. He made sure to pack his travel hair brush too, because one never knew when you would need it. Ok! He hoped he was ready as he grabbed his canteen. "Leto, you want to sit with me on the bus? You should take the aisle seat so you can spread your wings a little more." He smiled, trying to be considerate. He wondered if the others in their lodge were sitting close enough to talk to?

"I see," Suhail said, not bothering to inquire further as to whether that meant she slept poorly or well. He assumed poorly, but he didn't want to press the matter. Last he checked, he didn't snore too loud, but perhaps that had changed. "I take it you're excited to see the ruins? I think it'll be a nice change of pace." This whole trip was a change of pace, really. Suhail had never gone into this kind of climate before, and the novelty was probably going to wear off soon. He tilted his head towards the bus. "Shall we get on? I think your familiar beat us to it."

Anu's eyes lit up at the mention of the ruins "It's the main reason I wanted to come on this trip. Being a chaperone though might make it a little... harder for me to explore as I would like to but it's better than nothing!" Gently helping a few Freshlings get on the bus, as the sleep hadn't left their legs yet, she did a double-take at the last thing Su had said. "Wait, Saiya..? Graaaaaaaah!" Swinging up and inside in one fluid motion, she began looking under the seats, knowing that's where her familiar would hide if they didn't want to be found.

Sure enough, there they were, looking only slightly guilty but very uncomfortable in the far back. Biting back a cascade of verbal reprimands on the Spectrefox, she knelt down and tried to tug Saiya out. The best she was able to do was to get Saiya from under the seat while the familiar refused to get off the bus. Nope. Their place was by Anu's side, orders be damned. Looking around for the Other Grimm, Saiya was ready to give him the dirtiest look possible. It was all their fault. Couldn't keep his trap shut, could he?

Vanna suffice to say was not a morning person. In fact normally if he didn't get up to meet with business associates, or deal with unpleasant things he often found himself going to bed really early in the morning and then refusing to get up until 11. So he had stayed up readinging past when his roommates had gone to sleep. He had set himself an alarm knowing they would be needing to get up early. However pulling oneself out of sleep and greeting the day before the sun even rose was another thing entirely, especially when he had quickly shut the alarm off. He probably could have even fallen asleep again.

Luckily though his cherub room partner moving around had started to pull him into more awareness so when Nicholae did grab his shoulder, the chimera didn't do something silly like attack them, since that would be awkward to explain. He did however jerk sharply before his brain caught up.

"I'm up. Thank you for the wake up." he yawned after pushing the covers off and getting up. Huh...where cherubs always that small? He didn't remember hisOh well he should probably start getting ready for the morning. Medication to take, energy drinks to probably woof down. Oh and academy students to watch after.

Quartz returned the smile, her throat vibrating with a short and mostly silent laugh. "Same for me. I only thought I recognized you because of your wings. I have a good memory for colors and patterns," she added, hoping Annie didn't take the remark the wrong way. She knew several people whose coloring seemed to consist of limited shades of the same color, and some could get touchy over being perceived as "plain". Not that Quartz thought such people were plain, but there was no telling what people were apt to take offense for in their own minds.

Annie's name did sound familiar to her, but in that vague kind of way that wasn't connected to a specific memory; she'd quite forgotten his name as he had hers.

"I'm Quartz. And this," she turned to indicate the snoozing fluff ball next to her, "is my little sister, Amber. My mom's actually along as well, as one of the chaperones. You might have seen her, she was standing outside the bus." Quartz smiled again and shrugged her shoulders slightly, careful not to move Amber too much. "is my little sister, Amber. Quartz gave Annie a curious look, but was a bit too shy to ask what brought him along on the trip. It was probably an innocent question, but she didn't want to pry.
