Suddenly feeling even more PUMPED, America raised her bow again. Another straight shot, but not nearly a killing blow. The hunter was looking worse for the wear, even if the horseman child wasn't too pristine herself. Bracing against the counter, she stumbled back, but took it in stride. America high-fived her dad as soon as she got her balance back. HP: 16 Hunter: 12

"Yeeeeessss! HAHA!" High fiving her, Bjorn raised his weapon and struck the butt of it in the sand. A thin gold layer of Fear covered America, ready to take a blow. "DO YOU UNDERSTAND, YOU SPINELESS THIEF OF POWER?" the child guardian bellowed. "YOU WILL BE CRUSHED! MY DAUGHTER WILL SCALP YOUR HAIR AND CLEAN YOUR SKULL AS A BOWL TO EAT IN!" America has a 15/15 HP Barrier for 1 turn because of course he rolls that HP: 34 Hunter: 12

America gave a war cry as she raised her bow and... Turned to Bjorn with a lemon-face expression, "No way, dad. That's not even sanitary! You've been hanging out with Maebe too much." Of course, any amount was always too much. Even if the bimbo balloon was better, like a tiny fraction better, than some of the priestesses that tried to attach themselves to him. Another solid shot, but the young noble was definitely getting a bit antsy. She'd wanted to own this guy, even if reliably striking a target was a valuable skill or whatever. It just didn't look as cool! HP: 16 Hunter: 7

Bjorn belly laughed so hard it seemed to shatter the illusion by itself, and in a flash the grown guardian was back. "Perhaps I have," he conceded in an aside. "But it sounded cool, did it not? We are inspiring fear in the enemy like this!" Foals these days. Their terminology was always changing. He met the hunter as it charged, and in a clash of weapons Bjorn forced it back, grinning. "I CAN DO IT!" Focusing, America drew back the glowing arrow and released it, right into the hunter's chest. She could feel their little shield shatter, and her lips peeled back in a grin and... With his last bit of strength, the human grasped their pendant and said the magic words, whisking them away from the horsemen. "UGH! EVERY TIME! IT'S SO CHEAP!" She kicked the sand once, and then twice, and then turned into a young mare and dashed into the encampment to kick down everything she could and possibly s**t on everything she couldn't. HP: 10 Hunter: 0
