It was barely an hour at the most when Uzumati returned. While the iceling seemed devoid of life the wildman knew better. In fact he even toed him in the side, a bit gently but still enough to cause some pain, to make certain he would wake up. Sticks with speared fish were in his hands and a fire was blazing. As he jabbed the meat into the ground so that it hovered over the dancing flames he glanced back towards the iceling, “Food.” [8/10]

Tryston let out a groan of pain as something nudged him, “You…” He frowned before rising up and shaking off the burden of sleep. It seemed that he hadn’t been quite so deserted after all. Instead a meal was being prepared for him. Well, as much as you could call smoked fish a meal. Still it was better than nothing. As Uzumati handed him the fish the iceling offered a small smile, “Thanks again.” Seemed he owed this wildman a lot. [9/10]

Uzumati simply nodded his head at the thanks before settling back down to eat his own fish, “Eat and recover then fight.” He commented after a few swallows. What was wrong with that plan? The man could fix things then. Just like when Uzumati left the forest for a while the witu had come in but he had always managed to chase them back out. Even though admittedly it wasn’t easy and he had to do a lot of tracking and earn a few scars the man had done it. So why couldn’t this stranger do something similar? The ‘husband’ was just like a nasty witu who needed chased off. Amusement flickered across his gaze at the thought before he bit and tore into another fish. [9/10]

“You’re determined for me to try.” Tryston observed with some amusement of his own, “I suppose...I may have to.” If he went back and saw Constynce in danger then he would be willing to fight. He just had to be careful with his actions and make certain that things were as he believed them to be. It had to be for just reasons and not because Tryston was wanting to feel the woman’s lips against his own again. His gaze lowered at the recognition of his own stirring feelings, “I will fight.” The words escaped his lips. If she decided to stay with the man then fine, but the fight was indeed far from over. He would find out the truth and win back the brotherhood and more. Tryston nodded at the thought before finally pushing himself up onto his feet. A bit wobbly, but far more able to move now Tryston smiled towards Uzumati. “Thank you, stranger.” [10/10]

Uzumati grinned. Good. It seemed that the other earthling was getting some spark back into his spirit. A good one, not simply one of rage. That was refreshing to see. At the thanks the wildman shrugged his shoulders, “Uzumati.” He finally offered with amusement, “Good that I helped.” But he patted the ground next to him, “Still, rest. Too soon to move.” [10/10]

Sheepishly Tryston sunk back to the ground, “I agree, Uzumati.” The iceling smiled towards the other earthling, “Tryston. I’m Tryston.” He bit into another fish and felt contentment for the first time in days. Things would work out. He would make certain of it. Even if he had to drag his broken body across the country he would find a way.
