Pruu kept her jaw tight, only giving a small nod in reply. She could handle discomfort. Mostly, she was curious to see if this healing magic would actually work. She knew others had gone to be healed, but she had never been injured dire enough to require such aid. ..Well, she probably could have used it a couple times, but Pruu was stubborn. She preferred to make her body do its own healing, seeing it as a way to build her strength.

However, Nivalis had just been talking about practicing healing magic, and had yet to practice on a sister. One should not ignore such an opportunity; especially when it came to assisting the mystic.

Revealing the strange discomfort of her wound knitting with a slight wrinkle of her nose, her eyes were locked on their glowing hands. Her hand was warm and prickling sharply; an odd sensation, to be sure. She glanced up at Nivalis' focused features, smiled, and looked back down. When her hand was released, she couldn't help how her eyes widened. It.. had actually worked. Wiping at the lingering blood, she took a closer look at the redness on her palm. It.. looked like a bruise more than a puncture. Would she even have a scar after this? ...Not that being stabbed after falling on a diascia spike was a scar worth keeping.

Flexing her hand a couple times, Pruu gave Nivalis a bright smile in return to her sister's grin. "I see your training has been worthwhile. That was wonderful!" The mystic had shown some rather clear uncertainty beforehand, but this showed to Pruu that Nivalis had what it took to wield such magic.

Wonderful. Well, she was far from amazing surely, but Nivalis was hardly one to turn down praise, especially in an area that still required as much study and practice as this one did. Pruu's injury hadn't been particularly severe, nothing that couldn't have been handled without magic, but Niva was pleased just the same to see an actual result be born of her efforts. Bugs, birds, and rodents weren't specimens much suited to her time, and her opinion, but helping her sisters felt like what she was born to do.

She grinned back. "Oh! But you have to keep it a secret, okay?" She asserted softly, giving Pruu an encouraging nod. "The matron doesn't like for us to use magic on anything that doesn't require it. She thinks it'll disrupt the body's natural healing abilities, or something like that." So if she healed minor injuries too often, it would make the larger ones that couldn't rely on just magic more difficult to manage? She wasn't too sure.

The exact specifics were still lost on her.

Whatever the case, "Just this should be fine, though," Nivalis decided after a moment. "It was convenient for both of us, and better, I think, than walking back to camp for a poultice and a wrap, since it mean we can keep going now, if you'd like."

Although... Niva blinked back at her sister, quietly scrutinizing the girl. She wasn't fond of being soaking wet herself, and she couldn't imagine that she would feel inspired to continue under the current circumstances.

Pruu cocked a brow slightly. Keep it a secret? After a moment, she smirked and nodded. "Well, we are a bit of a distance from home. There was every chance the wound might have gotten infected before we got back." Winking playfully, she rinsed her hand off in the water before giving it a shake. "Besides, I do not wish to burden either of us with minor injuries. The body does need to do its own healing to grow, but I do not mind helping you to practice a little for when something more urgent does come up."

"Ah! Yes! We can indeed keep going now!" If anything, Pruu was the opposite and felt the need to press on after that embarrassing little stunt. Hiking her dress up to free up her legs while still keeping the extra weight of the soaked fabric, she tied it into place and gave Nivalis' confusing expression a smirk. "You do not have to stay if you do not wish to. I would like to wear down my body a little more before I begin working on my mind with you. Find me whenever you are ready to assist me." Smirking lightly, she spun and took off running. This time though, she stayed in the shallowest part of the water, feet splashing where she could see what was under the surface.

Niva's eyes widened marginally, and her pink lips parted into a small 'o' of confused surprise. It wouldn't be such a shock for Niva to grin and wink, but it did feel as if it was especially unexpected coming form Pruu. Her older sister seemed to be so serious; Nivalis couldn't think of a time when she'd ever winked at her, and it did momentarily catch the young mystic off guard. But besides that brief spear of surprise, she decided she liked the almost mischievous glint to Pruu's eye. Slowly, Niva's lips tugged back into her own smile.

"I appreciate your dedication to helping me improve," she replied with a coy head tilt and smirk of her own. the injury wasn't so terrible, but it was something of an experience, and one they could laugh over later at that.

Standing to her full height, Nivalis stepped from the shallows and took a moment to just watch as her sister situated herself, then set off again. Niva didn't envy Pruu's endurance with these physicals tasks. Strength such as that was something to be proud of, but there were other things to do besides training the body. That, and Nivalis hadn't been especially fond of this murky swampland to begin with. As Pruu trotted forward, the younger girl dipped her head in acknowledgement. "Until later, then."

It still didn't seem right to leave Pruu alone, particularly after the fall she'd just taken, but if her sister didn't want her to stand by, Niva wouldn't take it as a personal offense. Still, she suppose she could be near without being a noticeable presence. She scooted back toward the treeline, looking for all intents and purposes like she was planning on heading back, but stalled there. Better to wait, Niva decided, and be here in the event Pruu did need her. They would go back together, when her sister was ready.

Pruu glanced briefly over her shoulder to see what Nivalis would do. Heading off then? Even if looking a little uncertain. It warmed her heart to see her sisters growing, and even small steps like that little interaction were rewarding. She wanted to help ensure the success of the Elarians... Working both body and mind would be necessary. Now, with Nivalis' assistance, she could give more focus to growing her mind.
