“You’re very astute, Nephthys. Excellent hypothesis.” Kallichore couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride over Nephthys starting to deconstruct the preconceived notions senshi might have held about themselves and their homeworld. She diligently followed the senshi of vampires, all the while marveling at the care with which the whole building seemed to be constructed. Despite the passage of time, and whoever the workmen were, this building was truly a thing of beauty. Climbing the stairs, Kallichore looked forward to uncovering what might be on the upper floors. It was with genuine curiosity and appreciation that she stopped to examine the wallpaper that peeled from the hall. Whoever lived here before had an eye for decor, and it showed with how much thought seemed to be placed in each and every design aspect. The wallpaper was faded of color, but the fact that there was still so much of it remaining despite the acute passage of time was a testament to its quality. “Nephthys, do you think that, perhaps, the Victorian age on Earth was inspired by places like this? Clearly this building is so much older than a few hundred years and yet it’s in such good condition… It’s a marvel, really.” Not that the eternal senshi knew much about architecture. She could still appreciate it. These must have been the bedrooms Nephthys had mentioned earlier. With a chuckle, Kallichore attempted a joke. “Perhaps living in mansions is your destiny, Nephthys. This place must be some kind of domicile. Luxury must be in your blood.”

"It's not hard to figure. I mean wouldn't most people go a bit mad if they were left alone? We're social - we need people....I know that would bother me - being alone." She was exceptionally social and the idea of not being around people, not having anyone to talk to, it would drive her insane...after all the sadness of course. "That would make a good form of torture...though torture doesn't get you answers - just gets babbled words. Anything you want."
"Could have...it was after here - so it is possible. Could people from Earth have come up here?" Would they have? Would people from Earth even have come up here if they could have? What would this planet have offered them? What had it looked like back then? So many questions suddenly. "If it was, or somewhere else inspired it, what about other eras and fashion trends of the past? How much of our past wasn't ours originally - I mean we got the ideas by what we saw and liked and things brought back?" Which was normal - cultural diffusion. She could remember that from school, it was what created such lovely fashion trends that went from one country to more...like fashion week!
"I don't know...I mean maybe? We don't know if the past me even lived here...right?" It wasn't a sure thing - right? She at least thought so anyway. She really wasn't sure on the past life stuff, having no knowledge on it or experience with it.
The first room was as it had been the last time, this time though she wasn't too scared by it or creeped out. She was able to move around the room and appreciate it. "I want to get down this hall...there has to be more. This house." If you wanted to call it a house. "Is larger than it seems...and Kallichore...what;s a domicile?"

It was quite possible that some of the culture had managed to make its way to Earth, though the exact mechanism was unknown. Kallichore nodded, listening as Nephthys wondered these things aloud. "It could very well have been cultural exchange. It's difficult to say where Earth was, technologically-speaking, when the planets were wiped out..." So much of the written information is unintelligible. Such a shame."It's possible you lived here, or perhaps you didn't. Do you feel a sense of familiarity about this place? Or does it feel unknown to you?" Kallichore herself had felt a familiarity about the castle, but not with any particular village home. Perhaps she spent the vast majority of her time in the castle, rather than in the villages. "A domicile is a home. Someone might have lived here. I assume so, anyway, due to the decor and bedrooms. Unless it's a hotel? It doesn't seem like a hotel, though bed-and-breakfasts are just converted homes..." She trailed off, pondering the mechanism with which this silken wallpaper was adhered to the wall. It seemed to her that this building was a home, and not a bed-and-breakfast sort of setup. "Seems larger than it looks?" she asked, wandering into the bedroom to take a look at the furnishings. Did they have oil lamps, or electricity? Thematically speaking, oil lamps seemed appropriate.

"I mean unless we know when they were wiped out...but would that be in years here or back on Earth? Even then...why are there no records on Earth saying that they were visited by people from a planet like this? If my uniform is anything to go by than the clothing would have stood out - grabbed attention and be mentioned." Right? But it seemed like there had been some exchange...but if so how far back? The look here wasn't that old on Earth - not really. It was all confusing in a way, especially when they didn't know a lot...and herself even less.
"No...I think this was a home. I just...don't know whose home but it was a home...it's bigger than it seems to be from the inside." She said shaking her head a bit, curls bouncing and swaying with the head movement.
"Yeah...it's not a small home - it's large." The senshi of vampires stated while moving about the room. It seemed candles might have been the thing, if the candle holders along the hallway wall was anything to go by. Also there were candle holders in this bedroom, something she had missed the last time she'd been here. Silver in appearance and fairly simple in design. Nubs of candlesticks remained inside the holder with the wicks broken off short, ot burned down to be so short and small.
"Remember...we didn't find an entrance to the garden. it's not here...but it is here. This house hides things..."

That was one of the mysteries Kallichore sought to unravel. Surely there must've been some cultural influence and exchange during the Silver Millennium between the stars and the people of Earth. Why else would monuments exist in space and on Earth that bore the exact same names? "It's possible that someone from Nephthys influenced designers those untold number of years ago. It's always a possibility that the design simply wasn't fashionable until much later, but the design survived. Fashion is cyclical, anyway. That is my hypothesis." This house hides things.A familiar feeling. What architecture could account for a home that was bigger on the inside than it was on the outside? Was it architecture, or was it magic? Kallichore itched to find out. "If this house hides things... Nephthys, what gives you this impression?" It wasn't at all that the senshi of madness didn't believe her companion. On the contrary, Kallichore was interested in the thought process that created Nephthys' statement in the first place. Knowing the house was hiding something might have been based on a memory or an instinct about the place. She wanted to explore that. "Hidden walls, do you think? Sliding bookcases? Rooms under the floorboards?"

"That could be...cause this had to have been before the style came in...the end of everything here." She's heard that things had fallen what was it...a thousand years ago or something like that? That didn't fit with the style showing up on Earth. But it also didn't fit with people on Earth being very civilized, not like now, so unless it was like a superior civilization lost or destroyed and humanity forgetting about it and being set back she didn't understand - though it was possible. it was an idea to toss at the other senshi but not right now - later...at home.
"Look at how it's built here...look at the size of the rooms and grandeur. But only one hallway of bedrooms...and it's not a long hallway even. It doesn't make sense - I know it. The outside is bigger while the inside seems smaller. Hidden walls or a sliding something. But there are hidden rooms - a whole part of the house that's hidden. That much I'm sure of. I don't know how I am but I am." Plus it really didn't make sense, when looking at what they'd seen so far. There had to be more really, but there was more to her reasoning as well.
"I don't know where or how though..." So it was time to start being detectives and figure it out....Lucifer Force I'm figuring either the end of the hallway on the second floor has a switch of sorts, hidden in the design of the silver candle holders on the wall, that pulls down and open the wall up to the rest of the house. With time maybe it'll stick and not open all the way so become something to squeeze into.

Sleet Tempest Snape Sorry this is kind of short, I figured the investigation could end on your post since this is Nephthys' homeworld! Kallichore nodded, wondering if this house would operate like old mansions in horror movies - pull a book and the whole shelf moves. To that end, the eternal senshi started gingerly investigating. She didn't want to disturb too much or potentially damage a lovely relic, but each candlestick and book and drawer needed testing. Every bedknob needed to be turned, every wall section examined. "You're very observant, Nephthys. You've an eye for detail." she murmured, tracing her hand across the headboard of the bed, looking for another place on the wall to test.

"That and it really is a feeling." She answered her fellow senshi. She didn't know how or why but she just sort of knew. But she was clueless on where or how to access the rest of the house. Biting down on her bottom lip as she watched Kallichore try and figure it out, because they were both in the dark here, the senshi of vampires went to try and figure it out also.
"I don't know about in a bedroom...but there isn't anything in the halls but the candle holders mounted to the walls..." A bedroom entrance meant only that person would have access unless people went running into a person's private bedroom. It seemed rather impolite and just not...normal. But how would it work in the hallway? or was it downstairs perhaps?
"Either the hall up here...or downstairs somewhere in the back of the house I'm sure. You wouldn't put the doorknob, sort to speak, in the front of the house and the door in the back with no way to see who was around to enter and see that there is a secret entrance...." Tapping her foot as she glanced about the bedroom for a moment. Stepping out of the bedroom and into the hallway. This was a mystery to her.

Sleet Tempest Snape Another short one, sorry. >n< I'm sure you'll want to have Nephthys pull the right one! Kallichore followed the senshi of vampires out into the hallway, glancing up at the candles. "A sliding wall, perhaps? It could be a larger secret entrance would be out here, rather than in a private bedroom. Unless the occupant had their own secrets..." Hard to say, but Nephthys would have to take the lead on this one. A senshi's native world was something only they had extraordinary access to.

"Maybe....I'm assuming it's for more than just one person. I could be wrong but I don't know...it's all just a feeling really." Plus the grandeur of what they'd seen so far pointed to the place being larger than the few rooms it seemed to have. There was more to the place and she knew it - was sure of it. Just how to get there...
That was what she needed to figure out. Moving along the hallway, inspecting everything, her fingers poking and proding, touchimng, every bit of each candle holder. It wasn't until the dead end at the end of the hallway that she stumbled on something., As he fingers were moving along the candle holder one of the curls of silver, a small little thing, moved - it moved. And when it did there was a sound...a sound that was far from pleasant - like hinges which needed a good oil and some care - maybe even to be replaced. They sounded rusted. The wall moved though, slow as it did, to reveal steps going down into a entrance hall. The stairs were a dark wood color and grand in appearance. They went down the one floor to where a fountain and large open tiled area was. A large candle holding chandelier overhead provided some light as did the glass domed ceiling, though not much seemed to come through from the glass above, it was something.
The fountain was much the same as the other one only this one was larger, to better fit the larger room, across the way was another set of stairs going up three floors with landings at the second and third floor. Hallways lined the second and third floor so people could stand there and look down at the entrance area. It was elaborate and while old and certainly worn and looking like it had seen far better days you could see what had once been and imagine it.

Kallichore's smile was uncharacteristic of her usually-serene appearance. She was truly surprised and thrilled by the sudden movement of the wall at the end of the hallways. Indeed, Nephthys was correct - there was a hidden walkway, a grand staircase that lead to a fountain beneath a great glass dome. Perhaps it was an outdoor entertaining area in the distant past? Following along behind Nephthys, Kallichore marveled at the architecture and design and engineering of the thing. It was both beautiful and functional. "Look... at this!" she breathed, marveling for a moment. "What beauty. Nephthys, this is incredible. Who knows what other secrets lay behind this ancient walls...?" Truly, perhaps other secrets were laying in wait for them. On the other end of the tiled area was another staircase, perhaps leading to more unexplored rooms. The fountain was solitary but not frightening. There was a strange and dark beauty about this place. "It's beautiful, Nephthys. Truly."

"It is...it's amazing..." And she was glad she was getting to see it, she was glad Kallichore was with her. She wouldn't have come, and wouldn't be here now seeing this, if the other hadn't come with her. This would take time to explore no doubt, more than just this trip, but now that they were here they could come back. They knew this was here and waited to be fully explored and, obviously, appreciated.
"I'm going to assume more bedrooms and other rooms you'd have in a normal house." Because this was not your normal average house, at least not by the standards she knew back on Earth. Maybe this was normal here? She hadn't a clue to be honest.
"I say we check out the first floor. Maybe, since this should be on the level as the gardens we saw up front, the entrance will be here somewhere?" Somewhere in this secret, hidden, part of the house that for whatever reason seemed more private and yet also more grand.
Moving down the steps, heels clicking and clacking, the senshi of vampires couldn't help but look around them. At least they had candles lit, above them, to provide some lighting so they didn't trip or fall or anything. It also gave a sort of creepy but also elegant look to the room. "I'm going to guess this part of the house was for family maybe...and only family and trusted people? Why else hide it all? It's not like panic room or a single room. This is like a second home but bigger. Grander...so proper - where they lived and enjoyed themselves."

"Yes, let's check the first floor. That seems to be the one place eluding us..." Kallichore looked up and found that candles were lighting their way. Following along behind Nephthys, heels clicking along the ground, the senshi of madness seemed happy to be here. It was an interesting place full of mysteries and secrets to uncover from hundreds of years in the past. She so loved secrets. Nephthys had a point - why have it just to hide it? It seemed as though the portion of the house that normal people might have seen was only a portion of the whole. She could only speculate, in the end. "I wonder if perhaps the front portions were for guests and entertaining, whereas the rest of the house was meant for the family? Are there any memories you're experiencing while we're walking through these halls? Sometimes they came to me on my moon, other times... not. They didn't always provide insight, either."

"No, no memories. Just impressions or feelings...like knowing something or feeling like something is off or different." Leading the way across the open tiled floor, past the fountain, she was headed towards a hallway to the right of the stairs leading to the second and third floor.
The hallway, only a few feet in, was branching to the right and going straight ahead. "Hmmm...which way?" Not knowing what they'd find either way she wasn't particular which way they headed. Either way they'd discover something, and that was the whole point to this, so she offered the other the choice - which way to go.
"I'm not getting any hints so I'm not picky. There is, no matter what, things to be seen." Shrugging the senshi of vampires stood in the hallway, right where the hall branched off to the right, looking both ways. The falling apart carpeting of the floor under her feet giving way to the dark wood underneath. The carpet was, in fact, mostly gone save for a few places.

Kallichore nodded and followed along, musing aloud. "Impressions are better than nothing... at least we're not wandering blind. Perhaps you weren't a part of this particular house, and only visited?" It was impossible to say whether the strength of a memory or impression was based on how much time a senshi had spent in a particular place in the far distant past. Kallichore herself wasn't sure if she'd spent a great deal of time in that tiny village back in her moon, and still she received an incredibly powerful vision from the temple in the center. Dusty carpeting barely clung to a beautiful hardwood floor, and the senshi noted that the carpet wasn't rotten. It was likely simply incredibly old rather than damaged by moisture - that certainly helped the smell. She would rather it be dusty than moldy any day. When the pair reached a crossroads of sorts, Kallichore tilted her head. There was no way for her to know what lay at the end of each hallway. "Nephthys, do you get the feeling we're towards the back of the house? I'd rather explore everything, if we can, as efficiently as possible. If we head towards the back, we can double-back and explore everything from side-to-side, if that makes sense."
