Titanite leaned back on her heels, pulling herself up to her full height and practically giggling in amusement as his voice rose in surprise. "Perhaps you should wallop a nether or two and then get back to me on your progress." her lips quirked with humor, her calloused hands going to her hips as she considered the male. "I am glad that I leave an impression," Shahar mused after a moment, "it would be terrible to be boring and forgotten." her arms lifted over her head and she stretched her spine, enjoying the cracking sound it made and then relaxing, letting herself drop to a more comfortable position. "I believe you said you were working on a prat fall routine, Walloper of Nethers? Do you require aid?"

"Well a smart act never turns down pointers... " He managed, warily, though he wasn't sure there was a smart version of continuing this conversation. "Unfortunately I can't exactly invite you to watch me get clocked by the heavy bag again so you're going to have to leave that fiasco to your imagination. But man lady you definitely leave an impression."

"I was thinking I would push you over like a schoolyard bully until you landed correctly, but if you wish to get clocked by a heavy bag, I suppose...." Titanite cheerfully moved in, bumping her hip at him, trying to push him off balance without hands. "Would this not be more fun, though? Personal contact and all that, Walloper of Nethers?" Man Lady. Shahar paused, considering the English briefly to make sure she had the translation correct. "Was that more of a slang meaning, or are you actually comparing to a man? Either way, I appreciate being told I leave an impression." Eyes batted at him, and her smile was like a shark.

"...Slang. It's Slang." He assured, catching himself a step after the hip bump. "I mean I'm all for personal contact. Personal contact can be tons of fun... under the right circumstances." He was not entirely sure this was the right circumstances though. But then he wasn't sure there was a 'no' option on this. Not when he knew they could get you from the front or the back. At least from the front you had a chance to go down swinging. Ugh that was not a fun chain of thought. But he'd pencil in a nice soothing panic attack for later. Maybe with an nice pint of expensive ice cream and some treats for Bodi. "OK. Ok uh. Fine. Fine let's do this." If she was serious about helping (Weirder things had happened) then fine, maybe he wouldn't end up hanging off the side of a building covered in black and blue. If she wasn't... well he could flail wildly around with his stick and his fists and then demonstrate his minute mile technique.

Well, at least he was not genuinely considering her of the ManBearPig sort. Titanite felt much better about herself with that small revelation. "I am sure there are many kinds of circumstances in which a man could be useful," she told him, hoping she sounded reassuring, "Do not give up hope." or maybe she was trying to troll him, in her way. To be determined.
Let's Do This. Titanite felt the shark-smile spread across her tanned face, amused. "I tell you that I plan to bully you, and this convinces you that sparring is a good idea?" Of all the things she could have said, she would never have expected that honesty would do much of anything. "I will not take up much of your time, Wallop. You will fall. You will get back up. I will push you again."
Not actual pushing, as some kicking or punching may also be involved, but the point was hopefully clear.
"Have you done any type of training before? Had anyone show you?"

"Eh, bullies are bullies. Bullies I'm used to." He admitted. Murderers... well that was a whole different level, but he'd been shoved into enough lockers and trash cans he was pretty sure he had dual citizenship with them. Granted mostly he had been the 'harass and run' type, but he was kind of hoping that would give him an edge on dodging once he warmed up a little. "I've got a guy. It's just down to a change of tactics. I mean the s**t that works in certain situations doesn't work out here." There weren't any lockers for a start, and no one was probably shoving him into a trash bin, or at least not alive. Almost a shame really he'd gotten really good at getting out.

She considered him for a moment, considered his admission and his apparent lack of shame in it. That was a good thing. Not being proud or over-confident may make him a better listener, if she had to correct him. There was a sometimes fine line between being stubborn and being flat out unwilling to change. Titanite liked him, for all that he happened to be a man. But people couldn't be completely perfect, could they? She would let him keep his flaws.
He had taken his position, however, and she had given him enough warning. She moved in slowly, testing him, long leg sweeping out for his ankles, hoping he would keep his balance, or dodge her slow attack. Once she tripped him up, she would know her good starting point for her later assault. but it would do no good to knock him off his feet immediately- killing his confidence was not her goal. Teaching him was.
It was fun. He might be the enemy, technically, but she didn't care much about all that- which was good for most the people she had met.

OK. OK he could do this. This wasn't so bad. He had a brief flash to those 'skip it' balls that he remembered seeing on the playground, rattling loudly and counting badly with their ineffective jump counters. He did kind of wonder if she was going to follow up with a Bruce Lee Rounhouse and knock him clean out of the air... but hey, if she did he'd at least look cool for about five seconds, even if it was more the way you yelled and winced when the designated punchable goon in a kung fu movie got the stuffing whomped out of them.

She did not try and trick him. She took each movement carefully, deliberately, telegraphing her intentions to see if he could pick up on them, testing him. When he did well, she rewarded him with a smile- when he did poorly, she tried to land him on his a**. Titanite took her time, for this was only a first session.
He did not have to learn all in one quick event. She was not alarmed by the idea of another meeting. This Walloper was a unique fellow. Teaching him well was more paramount than teaching him quickly, she supposed; better slow but correct than fast and dead.
Falling was easy, and she showed him by doing it herself, when it was called for. How to make contact with the ground- how to try not to. Whether he threw himself down to dodge a hand in the chest- or was thrown down by someone else.
By the end of her little lesson, Titanite was pretty satisfied he wouldn't fall over and die on his way home, at least. She had worked him until the heat would have drawn a sweat, until her muscles tingled with the pleasant tingle of warmup. She may have to make a stop by the gym tonight, work off some of this extra energy with a punching bag.
"I pronounce you alive," she informed him sagely, "At least until someone meaner than I shows up."

"That's... debatable." Wallop challenged. One of these days he was going to make it through a work out without feeling like he'd just been put through some kind of old fashioned laundry wringer, and he was pretty sure he'd have some nice Rorschach like bruises (and wondered what people would think they looked like.) He was definitely sweating more than she was, but that was... understandable. She was in fine shape, he was a lanky well smoked noodle. But he was pretty sure, even to his own surprise, that he'd -learned- something. Which was way different than he'd been expecting from this encounter. He wasn't going to be willing any MMA competitions, but it was... ...it was encouraging. "But hey, I always liked Night of the Living Dead." He joked. "I mean... damn. Thanks." Confusing, very confusing woman, but... he kinda liked her, and was aware that was probably not his best response, but... he kinda liked her. "Let's uh, do this again some time?" He suggested, tentatively, buoyed up on tentative successes.

Her lips quirked with humor. "There is no debate. I am the teacher here. You may not like the state of your body, but you will survive it." her hand reached out, to poke at his middle. "That will be sore. Drink lots of water tonight. Do not wallop any nethers."
Night of the Living Dead? That... was a movie, if she recalled correctly. Zombies- the living dead. "There is no need to thank me." her eyes softened. "I got to beat you up, for free. It was an excellent workout."
She winked. "I am always- down? up? available? for a next time. Also next time, shirts can be optional."
The Captain couldn't stop her laugh as she waggled her fingers goodbye. "See you next time. Remember what I told you!"
And then she was gone.
