Sajah stirred as Nyko readjusted, watching his hair rise and fall like a blue curtain tousled by unpredictable breezes. He had done it to himself, he could admit that. He shut his eyes, though, shivering at the press of chilled digits, first because they were chilled—and then because Nyko’s leg was entangled with his, toes tickling his calves.
He grunted, adjusting himself against the mattress with every attempt at being inconspicuous and peering one eye back open at Nyko in the process. Now that his friend knew—did he know? Or was he still truly oblivious to the full details.
Perhaps it simply didn’t occur to him that, as a boy in the company of a boy who appreciated the company of boys he was in the perfect place to be appreciated in ways he might not appreciate if he continued to squirm about and dangle his limbs all over him-
But Sajah didn’t suppose he was complaining.
Nyko was a familiar scent, a pleasant nearness, and a welcome presence on the whole. He was tired, and if he focused on that it was easier to ignore any portion of him bent on doing anything other than sleep. «Quit squirming. Before I do something that might make your girlfriend jealous.»

[9/10]
It never once occurred to Nyko that his actions could be misconstrued. To him Sajahka's sexuality meant little more than a difference in people they would date. It changed little for Nyko; he still saw the other as the same Sajah he'd grown up with, and didn't feel the need to act any different around him. He still planned on messing with him in much the same way he always had, and being ignorant to how Sajahka may feel about it, Nyko kept his toes right where they were.
"She's not my girlfriend," Nyko groused. Still, when he adjusted his pillow his cheeks were puffed and flushed. "So you could do whatever you wanted and she wouldn't get jealous because she doesn't care." He huffed, flopping down onto the now fluffed pillow with a great harumph. At least he was still now, even if the full magnitude of what Sajah signed had slipped past the radar.
"....How do you know you like someone? Like, enough to date them?"

…you could do whatever you wanted…
Sajahka grunted, almost amused by the innocence of the remark—but then, it wasn’t as though Nyko actually had anything to be concerned about. Even with a deeper awareness of the nature of his wants, Sajah had no intention of making any advancements on his friend which he had any reason to believe would be unwelcome. Nyko’s comfort was more important than anything else, and he didn’t need more than what he had at this moment.
Enough to date?
His gaze flicked to Nyko, studying him in the dark. Eventually, he shrugged. «I think I would ‘date’ them and find out, if the possibility arose and the subject of my interest agreed.» If it had been his intent to discourage Nyko from relationships that he personally was bound to be silently unfond of, perhaps it wouldn’t have been the advice he’d have chosen to give. But, Sajah felt the truth was more appropriate, and since he hadn’t exactly made any offers himself, it didn’t feel proper to begrudge Nyko any chances he got to pursue whoever interested.
That wasn’t to say his feelings weren’t at risk of shifting to sulking regret upon encountering the girl, but that was another matter for another time. At the moment, he had Nyko in bed, and she wasn’t even jealous. So far, it seemed to be working out for everyone.

Thessia meant a great deal to him, but Nyko didn't know where the line was. His sleep fogged mind tried to piece it all together, but all he knew for certain was that he wanted to be closer to her. He liked hearing her voice, and the way her hair crinkled in the heat. He just...wasn't so sure that she felt the same way about him. She was quick to push him away when he was too annoying, and just as quick to tell him why. It should have been off putting, but as strange as it was, Nyko liked that about her.
"Later....I'll go talk to her later...." He murmured on a yawn, finally closing his eyes again. Right now he was warm, with his best friend safe at his side. There was so much that needed doing, but Nyko found himself pushing it all to the wayside in favor just relishing this moment. Here he knew that Sajah was safe, he could dream that Thessia wanted to see him too, and life looked so much brighter from the safety of his cot.

Later.
Later was something Sajahka could work with, particularly under the circumstances. So, as Nyko yawned and drifted, Sajah, too, shut his eyes, managing a passive nod. He had no reason yet to concern himself with a girl that wasn’t here now, and hadn’t the energy to concern himself even if it would have been useful. There were pleasanter things immediately afoot and it was all too easy to let everything else wait for the time, and let himself be pulled off to sleep as well.
Tomorrow would be another day.
