"I suppose I can't fault you for almost being late if you were being responsible then." He nudged Arlen gently as they made it to the top of the stairs. "It does seem like the sort of place you could forget everything else though." The whole island seemed to radiate a sense of peace and he was looking forward to seeing if that continued. He paused at the top of the stairs to look around, trying not to roll his eyes at hsi cousin. "I'm sure we could be slower if we tried."

"It's not all fun and games on Mag Mell," he teased lightly before looking up to the Senshi of Vengeance. "We're heading left. Right loops back down to the other side of the docks. I promise we'll turn you loose the moment we're through the tunnels." The Cosmos Knight could remember being Corvus's age; spirited and curious-- Not that there was all that many years between them. He supposed it was similar to how he would have enjoyed spending hours roaming the woodlands and moors of Corvus.

He laughed softly, running a hand though his hair once they'd caught up with Aldara. There was no helping it from the breeze off the boat but he at least wanted to look a little more presentable and it was a good way to stop himself from reaching for Arlen's hand again. "You might want to be careful turning her loose. No idea what sort of trouble she's going to get into." His voice was teasing, smiling as he looked at his cousin.

"Would you prefer I kept her with us so you could keep a close eye on her? And listen to her fuss that the tour is taking too long?" A light smirk lingered on his lips as he set a hand gently on Arsinoe's back to nudge him in the direction he wanted them to take. Natural light was starting to shine though ahead, bringing warmth in to the passageway along with something brighter than the phosphorescent stones that had been lighting their path until then. Corvus rolled her eyes at the other two, shaking her head before continuing on in front of their host and her cousin. She truly wasn't interested in whatever conversation they might be having anyways... And even if she was she was certain she could get some of it out of Jinyue later on.

"No," He stepped a bit closer to Arlen when he felt the knights hand on his back both to keep their conversation between them and to see if Arlen would leave it there. "But I have to warn you just so I can say that I did. She'll be fine, she's too smart to really get herself in trouble." Aldara was more likely to get herself into the 'good' sort of trouble than actually cause a problem. "I'd rather have a personal tour without any interruptions."

He left his hand on the other man's back for a moment as they walked together through a narrow part of the passageway. "I wouldn't let her wander freely anywhere that wasn't safe for her to do so. Mag Mell is... Peaceful. That's as good a word to use to describe it as any. I've seldom seen arguments break out that didn't at the very least start with a discussion that turned heated-- And even then it's mostly just in the halls." He paused once they were halfway across the sunlit walkway, giving the other man a gentle nudge before drawing his hand back so that he could gesture to the view. "Wouldn't want you to miss this... I'm generally running to fast to pay much mind to it, but it's one of the better views on Mag Mell."

"The island looks too beautiful to be dangerous." He knew there were place that were deceptive in their appearance but knowing the knight who represented the place the island couldn't be one of those. When Arlen paused and took his hand back he stopped to actually pay attention to where they were. " Stars..." He stepped up to the edge of the walkway so he could look out though the trees and stones. He could see the edge of the island and the ocean stretching out behind. There was nothing on Arsinoe like this, or even on Corvus. "Arlen it's beautiful."

"It is," he murmured softly, stepping back just enough that he could see the senshi as well as the view stretching out beyond him. It was every bit as lovely a view as the landscape itself if not more so and he wanted to make sure that he remembered it. After a moment he stepped forward again, lightly resting his hand on the other man's elbow so that he could direct him along the path again. "Let's go, before Corvus comes back to see what's taking us so long to catch up to her. They should be getting tea together in the hall and you can relax for a bit before we do any other wandering, if you'd like."

He probably would have gotten lost in the view if he hadn't felt Arlen's hand on his elbow. "Your home is gorgeous Arlen and I can't wait to see more of it." He smiled, looking over at the Knight as they walked. Tea did sound good though and getting to sit and relax for a bit. He was eager to explore but he was just as eager to get to spend some time with the knight. He had been looking forward to the trip since he'd scheduled it. "She'll just tease me about dragging my feet."

"Putting it that way makes it sound like you're stalling." he laughed softly as he shook his head while resisting the urge to take the other man's hand once more. It made it easier to finish following the path through the caverns that way, especially once it became narrow again. At the end they found Corvus waiting for them by a door and he gave her an apologetic look as he reached out to open it for her. The door opened to another stone walkway that gave way shortly after to wooden planks circling up. Beneath them was a wooded area with a number of small huts and larger bungalows. The sound of laughter filtered up along with music of some sort, a light breeze carrying with it the aroma of freshly baking bread. "They'll bring food up from the kitchens to the main hall later on this evening. The celebration won't be for you and Corvus specifically, but they do enjoy having a chance to show hospitality to new visitors." The walkway they followed connected to a bridge arching down and this time he did take Arsinoe's hand-- might have offered to hold Corvus's too if he hadn't watched her take a deep breath to steel herself before bolting across it. The bridge looked far more intimidating than it was and he found himself laughing once more as she turned to them triumphant after crossing. "It's sturdy. I promise it only sways when there's a cross wind and it really isn't much further."

"Perhaps I was a bit." It was silly but he wanted more of Arlen's time to himself even knowing they'd have plenty of it during his visit. He made himself follow the knight though the last of the passages and out into a more open area. Watching Aldara run across the bridge sent a slight shock of fear though him but it held and it had looked sturdy as she'd gone across. Even so he was glad for Arlen's hand as they crossed the bridge a bit slower. "You know, this seems like the sort of thing you'd make visitors do to see how strong and determined they were." He wondered if that's why it had been built originally.

"I would have offered to carry you across, but your cousin never would have let you live that down," he murmured softly, fingers twining with the other man's as he gave his hand a gentle squeeze. "Mag Mell was built to last, even if it might not look that way. It has to stand firm to offer safety and protection to those who call it home... And those who visit." When their feet moved from the last plank to the sturdy ground he paused, turning to face the Senshi of Lanterns with a smile. "Welcome to Mag Mell." That last bridge had been the final 'trial' separating them from the hall itself and the main entrance lay before them. "Ready to find somewhere to sit down now?"

Jinyue flushed sightly at the idea of Arlen carrying him anywhere and was glad for the slight distraction of making it all the way across the bridge. It was only a minor one as the knight paused to look at him. He really did love how Arlen's face lit up when he smiled. He nodded at the question though, fingers tightening a bit around the knights. "Yes, please. Before i give into the silly urge to kiss you." He murmured quietly. Not wanting Aldara to tease him about it if she heard.

That brought a slightly surprised look to his face that was followed soon after by a light laugh while he shook his head. He let the other man take his hand back so that he could approach the Senshi of Vengeance, giving her a bit of information on the area-- letting her know where she could explore and just how far she could go as well as what time meal would be served. He gave her the name of an acolyte to ask for if she needed assistance or just wanted to know how to find her way to her room should she wish to relax before supper. When Corvus took off he motioned for Arsinoe to follow him inside. "I asked that they have tea sent to my study. I don't suppose you'll mind a little bit of quiet away from prying eyes for a bit?"

"No. I'd very much appreciate it. The boat trip was lovely but .. crowded." He was used to much quieter places and while he'd been able to deal with the trip he relished the idea of getting some time away from all the noise. "Lead the way." He tucked his hands into his sleeves to keep from fiddling with them as they walked. He wasn't usually one for nerves but their visit could be so different this time. There weren't any prying eyes watching his every move.
