"The largest one in the pond, right?" The Cosmos Knight hoped that he was correct. He had paid attention to the pond for a decent amount of time, although just as much of it had been spent watching the young Sailor Corvus and the way she interacted with the fish. One of them had swam right up to her hand as she'd let it rest on the surface of the water. "Perhaps I can persuade you to tell me a bit more about Arsinoe over supper? Provided neither of us are expected to sit too far from one another?"

"That's the one. She's my favorite and one of the sweetest fish in the pond." She also looked like his favorite back home as well so he had a soft spot for the fish. "Did you pet any of them, most of them will let you, you know." He smiled, hoping he wasn't coming off too excited but he did love the koi and was glad that the knight enjoyed them a little bit. The other question caught him a little off guard, not expecting it. "If you would like. I would presume that you would be seated with the family since you are their guest."

"I can't say that I took the time to pet any of them, no." The knight shook his head slowly, uncrossing his arms so that he could stretch his arms before bringing one hand up to brush fingers through his hair. "Sailor Corvus made it seem as though we had a lot to see in a short amount of time. I'm starting to think she was just in a hurry to try and beat me at a game of chess."

"You should try. They're rather friendly and their scales are a lot softer than you'd think." He spent probably spent a bit too much time with the fish in the streams nears his home and those at the library but they were calming. Plus fish never argued with you. Laughing softly he nodded before motioning down another hallway. There were voices toward the end where the dining hall was. "She probably did. That's usually what she wants to do first when she meets someone."

From the sound of things, Sailor Arsinoe could go on and on about the fish forever. Fortunately, he had a pleasant voice and there was something to be said for the way his mouth curved ever so slightly at the corners; like he wanted to smile but was far too used to being serious. The laugh caught him off guard, brow lofting slightly as he looked to the other man. "Is that something she usually does, then? Or something that she picked up from someone else? A family member, maybe?"

"It may be something she picked up from someone but it's worked out well for her or I'd think she'd have given up on it." Aldara didn't have the patience to do things that didn't work for her. It made her frighteningly efficient at whatever she set her mind to. Something he envied a bit. "You'll have to get used to it around here if you intend to get a permanent assignment. Eventually everyone will ask for a game."

"You say that with a great fondness. Family must mean much to you." He continued to follow along after the other man as they headed towards the dining hall, the sound of voices growing as they neared it. The aroma of food followed not far behind it, reminding him that it had been some time since he'd had anything to eat.

"Family has always been important and despite the distance Aldara and I were together often as children." She had been closer to a sister than a cousin sometimes. When they reached the hall one of the staff held the door open and he led the knight toward the family table. A quiet word with Aldara's father and he smiled, showing Mag Mell to two seats that had been left empty. "They were not sure you'd want to join the family but if you do you're more than welcome to sit with me."

"It's not often I'm asked to join the family before even having a fist date." The words made it out of his mouth before he could stop them and he paled, instantly remembering everything that he had been told about minding his manners. Especially, especially, when somewhere new around unknown Senshi. "I--" He cleared his throat, bowing his head politely as if that might somehow negate anything he had just said prior. "I would enjoy that, thank you... And perhaps that information on Arsinoe as well."

Only a lifetime of training on how to remain calm and proper no matter what was going on kept him from reacting to the knight's words outside of a slight flush he couldn't quite stop. He wanted to laugh, tell the knight he'd have ask for a date to have a first one but he kept his mouth shut as the knight bowed. His reaction to realizing what he'd said was sweet and Jin brushed his fingers lightly against the knight's arm. "Please, have a seat. I'd be happy to answer any of your questions."
