Fiona was a woman composed of bravery, but bravery meant facing fears...didn't it? "Well, it's okay to be afraid you know? It's...normal. And you can't be a hero without being brave right?" She had spent enough time with Zach that she knew he had the right heart. "It's not about fearlessness, it's about being afraid and still rising to the challenge." Her fingers slid along his arm and over his cast, gingerly slipping through the spaces between his fingers. "Besides, you've got me. If you need a little help being brave, I don't mind standing by you and...well if you try to punch me, we'll deal with it when it comes."
This wasn't the first time she'd offered to be someone else's pillar of strength until they could stand on their own and likely wouldn't be the last, either.
"You don't need to figure it out now, we can deal with it later." It was that simple really. Baby steps.
"When you're out of the hospital, we're doing lunch. No if ands or buts about it, okay?'
