"You can't swim as fast as a dolphin, can you my Prince?" Giulia peered up at the elfin man suspiciously. He had to be pulling her leg or something. Though, he was a seal prince, and some seals could swim at up to 23 miles an hour, like a dolphin could. "Steno and Stenella?" her nose wrinkled at the names. "Did they name themselves?" if they had named themselves, she would be appropriately happy with their hard choice and terrible naming decision. But if her Prince had named them.... This was a tragedy. Bright blue eyes didn't peel away from the dolphins as she sighed, "Oh yes, I would love a dolphin ride!" a who in their right mind would turn down such a special offer?!?!?!? Giulia squealed in delight, pressing tiny hands carefully to the dolphin and wriggling her toes in excitement. "It is so strong!" she cried excitedly, testing. "It feels funny. Not like a horse at all." She shifted as her Prince let go, eyes bright with delight. At 35 pounds, Giulia was still in the 30th percentile, though they encouraged her to eat more. But hopefully she wasn't too heavy for the dolphin! "Are we gonna go on a tour?" she asked the dolphins. "Show me all your favorite places, okay?"

An eyebrow quirked as the tiny girl passed judgement on his dolphin naming skills. Sure, they weren't Flipper or whatever other names had been tossed out to aquatic animals in mainstream movies but Akio's experience with naming anything tended to come from his knowledge in science, not pop culture. "If you wish to give them a nickname, I'm sure Steno here wouldn't mind." The dolphin chirped in response, though it wasn't clear if he actually understood the conversation or was merely reacting to his name being spoken. Seal's Eye patted the dolphin and sent him on his way, escorting the girl slowly through the coral fields and trees and into a world of underwater adventure. His female companion was in hot pursuit, trailing behind the duo while behind her casually floated a familiar white seal. Through the red and pink coral they swam, twisting and turning around the greens and blues as they waved at the various wildlife that watched the group with interest. There were fish of all sizes and colors, pearls that adorned the sea and crabs that scuttled back and forth in an almost dance-like fashion. Seal darted forward until he was side by side with the male dolphin, when he offered a happy bark to the passenger.

Giulia felt absolutely no shame in her judgement. None. Nada. A bad choice of name was a bad choice of name unless it was chosen by a dolphin. "I will give them nicknames if they really won't mind, but I'll have to get to know them before I give them nicknames. Maybe like... Shiny and Shimmer." Clearly the names were prettier. As they floated off, Giulia chortled into the water, tiny legs kicking out happily. It was so pretty here! The little fishies, and the corals, and the water was so clear and she could breathe- and there was her Christmas Seal, barking as he floated past her. Giulia's face was suffused with delight, and the little blonde leaned in to press her cheek to the back of the pretty dolphin. "Under the Sea," she tooted happily, "Under the Sea. Everything better so much yay better Dooweee."

The dolphins seemed to enjoy singing along with the six year old's happy clamoring, making the seal shake its head in amusement. Clearly Giulia was enjoying herself - which was good. Excellent, in fact. It had been a long, long time since anyone had been invited into his waters and it warmed his heart to see the child enjoying herself as the dolphins continued the wordless tour around the domain. Time flew by as they swam, Seal's Eye uncertain as to how much had passed, exactly, while the child and her new aquatic friends chittered along with each other. Daylight would soon be upon them, but they still had a little while yet to enjoy each other's company. As the dolphins began to swim around in circles, Seal's Eye took his leave and returned to the ocean floor, the young man resuming his natural shape as two fingers lifted to his lips. A shrill whistle alerted the dolphins that it was time to return to him - Steno reluctantly offering the blonde girl up to his master's reach. "So what do you think of my home, little princess? Does it meet your approval?"

The dolphins were clearly real smart. As she sang and toodled along, serenading them in her high warble, the dolphins joined in, sending her into more giggles. But she kept coming up with more ridiculous ditties, and the dolphins kept singing right along while the seal didn't. It had to mean her seal prince was tone deaf. A terrible shame, that he couldn't sing. Maybe he would need a lesson in warbling? Everything was so beautiful here- Giulia couldn't stop her wide-eyed joyful everything- the lyrics to her little tunes were a babbling appreciation of the colors, and how peaceful everything was. Her Prince had a kingdom that she adored. Why wasn't it shared with the world? But then... if they shared it, people would just do to it what thy did to Earth. And that would be terrible. Maybe it was better if they remained still. All too soon Giulia's energy began to flag; all too soon she was being tugged off of Shiny's lovely back and back into her Seal Prince's arms. "Oh yes!" she enthused. "I love your home! You have the best home. Do you live here all the time? Do you share it? Is this where you guard people's dreams from? Do you know why I can breathe underwater- is it magic?"

"You have to allow me to keep some of my secrets, sweet girl." He teased, one finger moving up to gently poke her on the tip of her nose while his other arm moved to support her weight. The dolphins swam away after a moment of hesitation, having had their fun with the duo's short adventure. The hand that had gently teased the girl moved up to brush away some of the blonde curls from out of her face. "I live both here and on your world - like how you have an apartment and a nice, large home too? I love both of my worlds equally." If only living on both was as simple as that. "There are others like me, but it is my task to look after those who dream of water." His voice held a tinge of pride as he smiled down at her. "So whenever you dream about swimming or playing on the beach, you can rest assured that I'll be looking out for you."

She gave a dramatic, playful sigh as the prince lifted her off of of the dolphin. She patted both Shimmer and Shiny adoring pats, but the dolphins had their fun, so they were ready to go. She couldn't' blame them- why would anyone want to spent time in just one part of this lovely prettyland under the sea? And they got to stay and explore all day. "Is... it more like having a mommy and a daddy who don't live together?" she asked after a minute, peering up at the elfin Guardian. "Like, you have two houses and two beds? And you have to spend time with them both and keep them both happy? Cause I don't love both my houses the same- one has a much better bed for sleepin." Giulia had to be honest. Tilting her head, she considered his words and his options. "So if I have a really bad dream, and I think of water, will you come and fight the bad dream monsters away for me, Seal Prince?" she asked shyly. "Sometimes the dreams get real scary, but I stay real brave when I'm awake so I could use some help when I'm sleepy." Another moment, and she asked- "Is this a dream? Or is this a real place?"

"Yes, darling. If you have the most terrible dreams, just rest assured that there is always someone there to help protect you - it may feel like the monsters are about to get you, but the monsters in dreams are much easier to vanquish, if your heart is pure and good." One gloved hand moved to point at the center of her chest. "And the little princess has one of the purest I've seen." Her comparison to living under divorced family life was innocent and sweet... and all too real, the more he dwell upon the idea. He loved both of his worlds, but there were days when he wondered if it wouldn't be easier to simply give up one or the other, as opposed to fighting to give attention to both. Hugging her gently, he shook away the depressing thoughts and bumped his forehead softly against hers. "As far as dreams go, I'll let you decide. Though... don't you think it's time we got you back to your bed, speaking of comfortable places?"

Giulia pressed her forehead to his happily. "I will be very good and very nice," she promised, "And I will beat all the bad people and I will help all the nice magic people who keep saving me from yoh-mahs. I will take out all the mean badness and give them spankings." Tilting back, she said, "I suppose you can take me back home if you want to." Giulia had to hide her yawn, trying to make sure that she didn't look sleepy, even if she might be heading that way. "Mr. Seal Prince?" Giulia's voice was sweet, and maybe a little.... sly. "I have a very important question."

With a quiet smile, the water around them faded, transitioning into the dark, shadowed walls of the young princess's bedroom. Coral and fish were replaced with childish trinkets and posters - worthy fuel for sweet adolescent dreams, in the Dream Guardian's opinion. His arms were still around the little girl, the fabric of his tunic as dry as it was outside of the backyard pool. She was yawning, stubbornly fighting the sleep that tugged at her tired eyes and he took his seat upon the side of her small bed, his attention completely hers. "Yes, Giulia?" Important questions from an innocent could only entail further endearment, as far as Seal's Eye was concerned. Perhaps tonight would be nothing more than a wonderful dream for her - perhaps that's how things should be, when everything was said and done. "What is it?"

How he had them back in her room instead of in the pool that they had left from was clearly more magic. Her seal Prince was clearly a very real good person with his magic. She couldn't think that anyone else could possibly be as good as her Christmas Seal. Her seal looked real out of place tho, among the frilly fake gems of her princess clothes and tiaras and her big play house and her Giulia sized princess outfit mannequin, what with his hair and his pointy shoes. But he was her Seal Prince, and it made her think how she could make her room show off her love for her magical friends more. "Will you marry me when I am big?" Her eyes were big and blue and earnest. "I was gonna ask you to marry Jada so you could be my daddy and I could be a little seal princess, but I like you so much. I am almost 7." she could be married at eight....teen. It wasn't that far away, was it?

His eyes widened at that, eyebrows arching in startled surprise. Then, without pause, he began to laugh. It was a hearty noise, enough to startle Castor out of his hiding spot as the cat darted out of the bedroom, no doubt having lurked in suspicion of the fishy-type man who had sudden appeared with the young lady of the house in his arms. "My little princess, you never cease to amaze me, do you know that? And such sound reasoning, at that!" One arm moved out to pull back the bedspread of the princess-worthy bed before the Guardian leaned down to deposit the small child within the comforting embrace of the blankets. "I am afraid you would have to petition the beautiful Lady Helios with an offer like that - I am but a servant of her world, after all." One gloved hand moved up to brush away the blonde curls as he worked on tucking her into bed. "Seven years old is quite grown up - are you sure there are no young princes currently attempting to court you now?"

While Giulia was expecting any number of responses to her lovely proposal, she was not expecting him to laugh, and instinct had her recoiling, initially hurt by the fact he found it funny. But her Prince didn't seem to be laughing meanly, as she was still his little princess. And he thought she had thought it through good, right? That was what reasoning was? Giulia clambered into bed as he tucked her, pushing little ties into the warmth of her covers. "I mean, you could marry Jada if you want to, but I am cuter." Much cuter. It was known. But Jada was old now, and maybe he wasn't a patient prince? "Is Hely-yos a Queen?" her eyes were big and excited at the idea. For surely, for her Prince to be a servant, the person he served was either a Queen or... "Or are you already married?" Her Prince might be older than he looked! "I am real sure," she told him, "Prince George is only 3, and he is your only competition."

"Ah, but it seems little George has an advantage that I do not; he is a Prince and I am but a humble dream guardian with only my name as my title. I am not worthy of a princess, Giulia." The blanket was tucked up to her chin, the young man careful as he wrapped her up, tucking her in for what little time there was left to slumber. "Lady Helios is Princess of our Elysion, yes. It is through her that all of your dreams are protected, so we will have to remember to thank her in our dreams tonight, right?" One hand moved up to adjust the pillow behind the girl's head before the Dream Guardian finally rose from the bed. Leaning down, he pressed a soft kiss on her forehead and took a bow, signaling his inevitable need for departure. "Protect the others, my fierce little princess and I will continue to aid Lady Helios in watching over your dreams. Good night, my lady."

Little George was, indeed, a Prince. Giulia half-wondered what it would be like to actually marry royalty. Would being a royal be like in the Princess Diaries movies, where she could make silly little mistakes at first and then she would get good? Or would she not be able to be a Princess if she messed up at first? Would they teach her how to be a Princess? Either way, George was little, and thus out of range right now. She wasn't interested in a younger man. Seal tucked her in, and Giulia snuggled into her pillow and blankets as he tucked them around her. "But she isn't the one watchin' my dreams," Giulia said sleepily, blinking blue eyes up at the young man as sleep threatened her heavily. "That's you." She yawned loudly, giving him a sweet little smile. "Good night, Christmas Seal."
